“I had a great experience with my dog sitter! She did an amazing job taking care of my dogs and made sure they were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I really appreciated the care and attention she gave them. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter, and I would absolutely book with her again! 🐶❤️”

About: I grew up with dogs my entire life, including a German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, and Pitbull mix, so I’m very comfortable with both large and high-energy breeds. I also have experiences with extended stay puppy sitting where I managed feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and creating a calm, structured environment. I understand how important consistency, patience, and attentiveness are, especially with puppies. I’m currently preparing to welcome a Golden Retriever puppy of my own, so I’m very intentional about creating safe, positive experiences for dogs. I work Monday through Friday but my partner is currently home all day, so someone will always be there to care for your dog! We are open to boarding any night. Walks I am primarily available after work or sometimes the morning before. My partner is currently available most anytime! We are both reliable and detail oriented. We are prepping to bring in our very own golden retriever puppy, so will treat your dog as if they are our own! As mentioned above I work Mon-Friday roughy 8-4. My partner is currently home throughout the day so someone will always be there to care for your dog. We are open to boarding almost any day especially weekends where we are both home. Walks and drop ins work best for me before work hours or after but my partner has open availability so between us we can accommodate to you! Feel free to ask if you have any specific availability questions! :) Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I live in a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment and am very attentive to routines, feeding schedules, and safety during walks and care. I always keep dogs securely leashed on walks, avoid unsafe situations, and closely monitor their behavior and well-being. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your dog, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m reliable, respectful of your home, and committed to providing a safe and positive experience. I’m also happy to send regular photo and video updates so you always feel confident and connected while your dog is in my care.
About: I have raised 2 dogs since puppies until older age. I have experience with older dogs and puppies. Love them all. I have no pets at the moment so any pet I care for will receive lots of love. Love all pets I can provide care in the morning and afternoon. I am available for many services. I can walk pets, play with them, feed them, take them out, cuddle them, and give them love. I can also stay in your house or apartment with your pet. I give pets lots of love and attention. I can give pets lots of love, cuddle with them and give them treats, practice commands, or also just give them space and take them out for walks. I love dogs, I also like cats. Any pets are a joy
“Lauren was absolutely amazing watching my dogs for three days! From the moment we connected, she was professional, warm, and incredibly attentive. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. My dogs were happy, well cared for, and clearly loved on the entire time. She followed all instructions perfectly and treated them like her own. When I returned, everything was clean, organized, and my pups were calm and content — which says everything. It’s not easy trusting someone with your fur babies, but Lauren exceeded every expectation. I would 100% book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable, compassionate care. Thank you, Lauren! 🐾💛”

“Alexandra was amazing with both Panini and Lady! She was very comfortable with dogs, especially bulldogs, and clearly understood the extra attention and patience a puppy needs. I felt completely comfortable having her care for them and really appreciated how well she handled both of their different personalities and needs. I would absolutely recommend her and will definitely book with her again!”

“Agnes was very thorough and helpful with Hot Chocolate. She was patient with our crabby cat while we were away and gave me updates for every visit. Thank you Agnes!”

“I always ask Sofia for help because I know she will take the time to make sure my cat has some company for a bit, while I’m gone. She is always considerate about my cat’s shyness.”

“Natalia answered my last minute request incredibly quick and was our lifesaver! She was super flexible and provided great pictures/info related to her time spent with our pup. 100% would rebook!”

“Edgar was easy to work with and very attentive to my cat. My cat is a senior and I mix meds into her breakfast plate. He was able to accommodate her schedule. I would not hesitate to have him take care of her the next time I need a cat sitter!”

“Justice is great! She is reliable, friendly, and sent thorough updates and pictures while checking in on Cooper. Everything went super smoothly and we'd be happy to work with her again!”

“Luis is one of the sweetest and most helpful people around, and I feel so happy knowing my two cats are in such good care with him whenever I travel. They love him, and I get so happy when I see the daily pics from Luis of all of them together. When I come home, my girls barely notice me 😂 it’s very cute and we owe that all to Luis’s thoughtfulness and care!”

“Paulina was very accommodating and patient with our fearful dog. She allowed us to go on our camping trip with the peace of mind that Milo was taken care of. She was very easy to communicate with and sent us frequent updates.”

“We booked with Estefanía for her to visit our dog three times a day during our week-long trip. She was always super professional- quick responses when I texted her any last-minute requests or instructions. She also brought in our trash bins and kept our plants alive:) Bruno was happy when we got home, but definitely no stress when we were away!”

About: Having lived with, and cared for dogs for much of my life, you can expect that your pet will receive my full attention and devotion during the time that we work together—not just their basic health, safety and food/outdoor needs, but also the affection that keeps them feeling loved. I currently work from home-where we have a large backyard with endless fascinating smells—and I rarely leave client dogs unattended. My own Boston Terrier, Hutson, currently 8 years old, is a well socialized, solid companion who is very good with canine communication, and will give space to dogs who need and request it, or play with those who share his play style (I monitor very closely). He’s especially good with puppies. I am also very comfortable maintaining obedience protocols when needed, but also flexible and realistic about dogs' behavior. I have some experience with dogs' health needs. I have helped care for my mother's cocker spaniel, whose serious autoimmune condition has required the administration of daily oral medication, including immune system blockers and steroids. I've also cared for a four month-old Boston Terrier puppy who when we first met needed medication administered twice daily. Outside my interest in animals, I've run a summer program for high school students, and have significant and transferable experience handling emergency situations and working under pressure. I currently work from home, and I rarely leave client dogs unattended. We have a large backyard full of interesting smells and occasional visits from other animal friends, from squirrels to rabbits and opossums. I also love longer walks through nearby forest preserved if dogs are well suited to this. Having lived with, and cared for dogs for much of my life, you can expect that your pet will receive my full attention and devotion during the time that we work together—not just their basic health, safety and food/outdoor needs, but also the affection that keeps them feeling loved. I'm an advocate of positive training techniques, and try to provide mental stimulation. My own Boston Terrier, Hutson, currently six years old, is a well socialized, solid companion who is very good with canine communication, and will give space to dogs who need and request it, or play with those who share his play style (I monitor very closely).
About: I have taken care of dogs for most of my life! I had a puppy as a young girl, and cared for her through her old age. I also have extensive pet sitting experience, and have watched 5 dogs simultaneously. I have a very caring personality and would love to care for your fur babies! When it comes to cats, I have about 12 years of experience. I have taken care of numerous outdoor stray cats, and have rehomed many of them, including taking two into my own home. I am self employed (jewelry artist!) so I have plenty of time to check in with your pets, walk/play etc. I am available anytime during the week (M-F) and usually on the weekends as well. I currently live in a small apartment, and would need to come by you. I am excellent at following directions, and will cater to you and your pets needs.
“Jessica was wonderful. She was able to come on short notice, and still made time to visit ahead of time to get acquainted with our shy pup (and us). She is prompt, reliable, and easily made friends with Doxie. We would definitely ask her back for future needs.”

“Alonso was great and friendly! He came and met our pups before the drop-in to get acquainted with them and their routine. He was on the and sent photos to give us happy updates. We plan on continuing to have him help take care of our pups.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Hines
Needed a cat sitter somewhat last minute for a foster cat I'm taking care of. Our foster is still very skiddish around new people but Samantha did a great job and always found her little hiding spots. She was also super accommodating when I asked to adjust the number of drop-ins for the last half of the booking.

This was my first time leaving my two recently-adopted cats home alone, and it was such a relief to know Jessica was checking in on them. She was so communicative and made sure to send pictures (even when my girls were being shy and hiding). I would absolutely recommend her services, and I would book with her again in a heartbeat the next time I need a sitter! Thank you, Jessica :)

Melanie was wonderful with our cat Mino, who is very shy with strangers. She gave him space when he needed it and kept us updated every day with detailed messages. By the end of the stay, they had become good friends, which is a big deal for him! We’d absolutely book her again.

Grace is the best sitter we have ever had. A testament to her thoughtful care and consistent reliability is that our cats are happy and complete unstressed when we return home. She has developed a trusting rapport with our cat kids. Grace is meticulous in complying with my husband's very detailed instructions. We appreciate that she will contact us with any questions or concerns. She is truly a comfort to us when we are traveling and a lovely person.
Heather was the best pet sitter we have ever had. Thank you. She was excellent at communication, and our cats loved her. Our 2 cats have been shy around previous sitters, but they were not with Heather. That's so important when you are away from your pets to know that they are getting the attention they need.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 5,873 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Hines. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hines. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
