“Heather is always an absolute delight to have watch our two dogs. They are so excited to see her, even though they are picky with their people! She spends extra time and gives them so much love.”

About: 🐾 About us Certified Dog Trainer (Animal Behavior College – Positive Reinforcement Based Training) I’ve been caring for dogs since I was a kid, and what started as helping family and friends turned into a true passion and profession. My wife and I both work from home, which means your dog receives consistent supervision, structure, and plenty of attention throughout the day. 📍 Located 10 minutes from O’Hare — perfect for travelers. 🕒 Drop-Off & Pick-Up Hours Monday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM Thursday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM Friday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM Saturday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM Sunday: 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM Please select a specific 30-minute drop-off and pick-up window when booking. I ask that you arrive within that window so we can keep transitions smooth, organized, and stress-free for everyone. If anything changes, just communicate as early as possible — I completely understand that travel plans can shift. 🏡 Our Home & Philosophy We have a fully fenced yard and a dog-friendly home designed with safety in mind. Playtime is always supervised, and dogs only interact if we’re 100% confident they get along. It’s completely okay if your dog prefers people over other dogs — we respect every dog’s personality. Each dog enjoys free roaming, walks, and one-on-one interaction with us — they’re treated like part of the home, not just part of a group. 📋 Requirements Dogs must be crate trained and comfortable resting in a crate when needed. They must also be up to date on all required vaccinations to ensure the health and safety of every dog in our care. These standards help us maintain a calm, structured, and safe environment for everyone. 📸 Updates You’ll receive daily updates with photos so you can relax knowing your best friend is in great hands. 🐾 Our biggest priorities are ❤️ Love, 🛡 Safety, 🤝 Trust, and 🏡 Comfort. Our number one rule: no dog is ever put in a position where they feel they have to defend themselves.

About: Dog and cat owner my whole life! Currently a momma to 3 cats and one senior pitbull. I love to be around animals and fostered often before moving to the Chicagoland area. As a small business owner who works part-time, I have the flexibility to make pet care a priority in my daily routine! My mornings start with making sure my pets and yours are happy, loved, and well cared for. After spending a few hours in my office, my afternoons are reserved for furry friends, plenty of cuddles, playtime, and a little extra spoiling! I love having the freedom to give every pet the attention and affection they deserve. I’ll care for your feline friend in the comfort of their own home, where they feel happiest and most secure! From cuddles and playtime to meals and a clean litter box, I’ll make sure your kitty feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.

About: I worked at a dog daycare/boarding place at the Wag Hotels Schiller Park location for 2 1/2 years: feeding, cleaning their rooms, giving medications and more! I have great experience with both cats and all types of dogs and have always enjoyed my time spent with the animals! :) I also have my own animals at home that I take care of— both a dog and a cat. I am taking classes during the week and my schedule will be more packed during the weekdays, so weekends would be the best for me to work with! Unfortunately I cannot house pets during the day or overnight as I am in school, but I am available for drop in visits, dog-walking, and possibly future pet sitting opportunities!
“My cat can be finicky when we travel and doesn't want to eat properly. Not an issue this trip. Thanks to Jackie. She made it a family affair including her daughter in pet care. This is great in my opinion as it teaches responsibility and proper pet care as well as offers new experiences for the pets she's caring for. My kitty is getting old & lazy, but she responded well to their care and is happy and healthy. Thank you! Will reach out in the future as needed.”

“Christine was great. She took time to get to know the dogs and went above and beyond to give them extra loving and care for our first time away from them. I will ask for her again every time!!”
“Rhianna goes above and beyond! She will care for your pets as if they are her own. She plays with them, give them loves and snuggles, even teaches them tricks! I would highly recommend her to anyone and will continue using her for as long as she’s available.”

About: Hi! Im Cailey. Im a sophomore in college studying to become a veterinarian. I previously worked at a pet hotel for two years as a daycare attendant, groomer, and reactive dog handler. I am comfortable with breeds of all sizes and temperaments. While working at the pet hotel I was also trained on how to administer various medications both oral and injection, and I was trained in pet cpr and how to read the body language of a dog. I have three large breed dogs of my own, two of which I took to professional trainers and my most recent rescue I trained myself. I am not a professional trainer but I am quite educated on the subject! Please reach out for any grooming, pet care, or training inquires! Thank you. My dogs wake me up every morning around 7-8 to go potty and for breakfast. I take one or two of my dogs each morning to run with me. I live right next to a park we usually do two laps of. After then my dogs pretty much entertain each other until dinner time. In other peoples homes I treat them as if they were my own! Well talk everything over in person of course but just leave me detailed instructions and I will do my best to follow them to a T!
About: We’ve been caring for family and friends’ dogs and puppies for 14 yrs, We have potty trained puppies, taught them to sit, wait patiently for food, and other fun tricks. Most importantly they get a lot of attention and love. We want to make sure they feel as comfortable as possible while away from home, creating the perfect home away from home! We both work from home, so rest assured that someone will be around with your furry loved one. We will make sure they have several potty breaks, timely feeding, and are well taken care of. Your furry loved one will be in the house where we keep a close eye at all times. We also use gates periodically to close off sections of the house, especially while feeding, if necessary. We have a fenced yard where they can run around in which we usually also keep a close eye while they are out
About: I currently own two doggies, and have been a caretaker for 16 years. They are the most precious animals and I couldn't imagine my life without them. Someone told me once that I can't pet all the dogs I see, and I said watch me😎 I'm currently staying at home so my schedule is pretty open. I already take care of two dogs at home so adding a third or fourth wouldn't be a big deal. I have a fenced in yard and both of my doggies are well socialized and like to hangout with other dogs. At a client's home I follow whatever instructions are needed.
About: Hi! My name is Carmen, and I’m 23 years old! I have over a year of experience working at a dog training facility and currently work at a doggy daycare, where I continue to learn about dog behavior, socialization, and care. I have a genuine passion for working with dogs, and one of my favorite things is training puppies and helping them develop good habits from an early age. I’m patient, attentive, and believe in using positive reinforcement to help dogs learn. I understand that every dog has their own personality and needs, and I’ll treat your pup like my own! 🐾❤️ I currently work part-time, so my schedule offers flexibility for pet care. There is always someone home to keep your pets company and make sure they’re cared for. In my free time, I love spending time with animals, so caring for your pets is something I genuinely enjoy! 🐾 Your fur baby will have plenty of space to feel comfortable and be themselves in my apartment! I want every pet to feel safe, loved, and at home. I always prioritize their safety, follow their routines, and make sure they receive plenty of attention. I also have three cats, so I take introductions and everyone's comfort seriously.
“Helped out very last minute for long term care of 2 cats. Great communication, reliable, and helpful. Great experience and would absolutely recommend Crystal to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

“Faye was wonderful. She got Benji out from under the bed in record time and he even let her scratch his belly! She sent pictures at each visit and updated me on his eating habits. Thank you for taking such good care of my baby!”

About: I’ve cared for all kinds of animals—lost cats, orphaned wildlife, and even a blind and deaf pup. With experience handling mammals, reptiles, and more, my home is a safe and loving space for pets. As a certified dog groomer, I can also pamper your pup for an extra fee (just ask!). While I have a 3-year-old niece at home, your pets will have their own dedicated space, along with my gentle 10-year-old Maltese, Tigzy. From playful puppies to senior dogs, I provide personalized care in a structured, loving environment. Their diet stays on track, and treats are only given as rewards. Let me know how I can help! I work a few blocks from home, however, I’m home most of the time throughout the week. I also have family members who assist in animal care if needed. When it comes to safety I will care for your pets as if it were my own, I will watch and monitor them and make sure they can’t get themselves into a dangerous situation. If an emergency occurs you can trust me to call you IMMEDIATELY.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, and they’ve always been a huge part of my life. I call my current family dog my bestie! Since high school, I’ve loved watching family friends’ and neighbors’ dogs, and I also volunteer at animal shelters and participate in doggy day-out programs. After moving away from home, I’m excited to have a way to spend more time with animals and give your fur babies lots of love and attention! Hi! I’m Jaden! I currently work a 9–5 on a hybrid schedule, so I’m in the office just two days a week and have flexibility during the week. I’m also open to weekends! I always closely read and follow any specific care instructions you leave for your pet and do my best to keep their normal routine while you’re away. Every dog is different, so I take their personality, energy level, and needs into account when caring for them. I also like to stay in communication with pet parents throughout their time away and am MORE than happy to send picture updates of your little one! My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while giving you peace of mind.
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - O'Hare
Chris was wonderful! I can’t say enough good things. My cats are very shy and he had them literally eating out of his hands on day one. He kept me informed with photos and texts and was so gentle and kind. I felt completely safe and full of trust that he had them comfortable during the heatwave that hit this week. He even did some random house tasks. He is incredible. Book him. Pay him. Tip him. It’s more than worth it.
Elva was great with my dogs! She is professional, reliable, always on time, and truly cares about making sure my babies get the most out of their visit. I felt completely comfortable knowing they were in such good hands, and they were always happy and well cared for after spending time with her. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
