Ashley N.

“We booked with Ashley over the holidays and she was excellent. She really took care of our kitty, taking initiative to make her days as comfortable as possible (including in the midst of a winter storm!). We really appreciated the photos and summaries Ashley would write about our cat after each drop-in visit. It felt like we had our own eyes and ears telling us how she was doing. Ashley was also very flexible in meeting with us outside of the scheduled drop-in visit times as needed. She made our first Rover experience especially positive!”

Heather K.

“Heather was so great with our puppy Mick! She sent great updates and clearly had a good time while visiting with him.”

About: I have been around animals my entire life. I had both cats and a dog growing up, which I helped care for. My love for animals continued into my adult life. I recently lost my 18 year old (very high maintenance) miniature pinscher, Buddy. I currently have two cats, a Persian (also very high maintenance when it comes to grooming) and a Lilac point Siamese. People always joke that they want to come back as one of my pets in their next life because of the love, care and attention I give them. Not only do I have almost 20 years of care experience with my personal pets (cough family), but I am also many of my family/friend’s go-to pet sitter when they travel. I have experience with pets of all life stages; young, adult and senior/geriatric. Usually with senior care comes medications, specific routines, grooming, etc, for which I am well-seasoned. My husband and I have decided to wait awhile to get another dog, meaning, I have an abundance of love to give. p.s. Attention dog owners: I’m a runner so if your dog likes to get some short distance runs in, I’m your gal. Generally, I work from home 2x per week and I am in office the rest of the week. My boss (dog owner aka his kids) is also very flexible and understanding when it comes to working from home when needed. There were many times towards the end of my love bug Buddy’s life that I needed to work from home more. When I am in office, I usually leave around 8:30am and return around 5:30pm, but my husband who is in office Mon-Fri, returns home around 3:30-4pm. My overall schedule is very flexible. I have pet sitted in both scenarios: For in MY home care- I have a fenced in backyard for quick potty breaks and for play. I also live close to and frequent often the Des Plaines River trail for walks/runs. Animals can roam free or be crated when I’m away or I can give them their own quiet space away from the kitties depending on the owner’s preference. Client home care- I understand that this is sometimes easier when it comes to routines

mikayla s.
“Mikayla is the best, bar none! My cat, Luna, and I both think so. Luna can be sassy with strangers, but since the day she met Mikayla she's always approached her with curiosity and excitement. Their instant bond put me at ease and Mikayla continues to be a constant in our lives. She has helped us out on multiple occasions while we've been out of town. She is reliable and responsible with a willingness to be flexible if needed. The times we've utilized Mikayla's services, she has stayed at our apartment and was very tidy and respectful of our home. Additionally, she is good about sending photos and videos for little updates. Recently, we went away, it was my longest time away from Luna. I missed her a little extra one night and when I texted to check-in Mikayla answered with a FaceTime. It was so incredibly sweet and thoughtful, and I could see in that moment Luna was fairing better than myself from our time apart. That is the peace of mind I want while away. Anyone pet would be lucky to have her as a sitter and their families too. 5 stars! Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve always had pets, I love them & im in the field to become a veterinarian so I decided I’d give this a shot. I love animals & promise that they’ll be safe in my hands no matter what, I will love them as my own. Nurture to them as my own. I used to take care of my brothers pit bull, I had to potty train it and just teach him all the amazing tricks/things he didn’t know how to do! It was a rough but overall great experience. I work with a lot of animals now from cats to birds, to lizards, & dogs, & still have my own pets at my home. Plenty of love to go around! Thank you for the experience! I’m currently working part-time from home, so I’ll be able to spend all day with your fur baby and give it as much love and attention as possible! I have a fenced yard to let your baby enjoy the weather, play, or just use the bathroom! I usually let the dogs sleep on my bed, but I can crate your dog if needed to. Clean safe environment!
