“Keri was wonderful! Super communicative and even caught an urgent medical issue that my cat developed while we were out of town (urinary blockage). If it weren’t for her paying such close attention and noticing a change in my cat, he probably wouldn’t have made it. I am forever grateful for her!”

“Extremely communicative & trust worthy! A true animal lover, my very shy cat warmed up to her immediately. This was first time using Rover and Colleen left detailed information about her visits and many took many pictures. My husband and I had a worry free vacation because of Colleen.”

“Kelly has really gone above and beyond. I had only lived in Chicago for 2 weeks before having to go back to Texas to prepare for the Polar Vortex and she took care of my kitties on short notice and even let me know my water had stopped working.”

“Heather did an Awesome Job caring for our Fur Babies!!! She was so reliable and did a Great job communicating with me every visit! They were both happy when we got home :) I highly recommend her for any pet care!!! Thanks again!”

“Maria is truly the best!! She has been spectacular with my two pups, both with very different needs and personalities! We have an older dog with medical needs and a firm personality and a younger pup that is high energy and low listening skills :) I cannot give a higher recommendation for Maria! She is kind, responsive, and most accommodating.”

“Karli was great! ! Karli gave me a very detailed update and very detailed pictures of each cat. I appreciate how many pictures Karli took, it made me feel comfortable knowing my cats are out and safe! Karli was extremely responsive and flexible, and Karli helped us out last minute. Karli scooped my liter, fed my cats wet food, played laser, and plugged my camera in as a favor. I would highly recommend Karli to watch anyone’s pets”

“Patricia was so great! Helped take care of our little zoo of ferrets, chickens, lizard, fish and a cat. Our ferret needed daily medicine which was super important and Patricia was so reliable we didn’t have to worry! She was thorough and communicated well, plus shared cute pics of our critters too… would highly recommend!!”

About: Hi! My name is Leah, I have had experience with all types of dog sizes and breeds. I myself have grown up with two sweetheart pitbulls, sadly lost both due to different types of cancer and old age :( (12 & 14). I now have a Shihtzu(2), and Yorkie(3) who are apart of my family! I pet sit a golden retriever on occasion when his parents are out of town! I love animals and am soon hoping to welcome a Maine coon to my family. I don’t have much experience with cats other than hanging with my boyfriends black cat, but I love them! I also have minimal experience with turtle sitting. I am an animal lover and am looking forward to caring for and meeting more animals:P I do currently have a 9-5 job, Tuesday-Friday. I am available all day on the days I am off or after work. to walk and look after pets! My doggies are family pets, they are well cared for when I am not there. I do not usually pet sit at my house unless they are well known to me and my family. My doggies usually sleep in my room or my moms room. They do not sleep in a cage. They are free to roam around my house but don’t like being alone so they are almost always with me or my family haha. They are walked 3 times a day.. once before work, once after work and once before bed. They are let out to roam in the back yard, supervised when I am gardening or just out there relaxing. I have a fenced backyard. That is my personal style of caring for my pets. I do understand that everyone has different rules and expectations with their pets & home and I am more than happy to follow every rule and instruction i’m given when it comes to caring for your pets!
“Yulissa is an amazing pet sitter. She took great care of our four cats, two of which are quite elderly. Because of different dietary needs for each cat and medications the instructions are quite elaborate, but that was no problem for Yulissa. She is an excellent communicator, and she made sure to give as a daily update. We would be very happy to have her take care of our cats again!”

“Best sitter ever! Helped our anxious dogs through a week of our absence and allowed my family and I to enjoy a vacation and family wedding with ease! Thank you SO much, Yazmin!”

“Nicholas did a great job looking after my cat. She was always very shy and he would make sure to find where she was which would sometimes take a bit longer as she found new hiding spots. He completed all tasks that I asked of him. He was always on time and very professional.”

“Faye is such a lifesaver! Our sweet girl is incredibly shy with people and we know she and our cat, Gus, will be in caring hands when Faye's with them. Thank you SO much for taking such good care of our babies!”

“Leah was great! It was wonderful to have someone who overthought feeding my boys and making sure they got their medicines. One of my boys is super shy and she took the time to find his hiding spots to check on him and even sat near by to lure him out. My other guy got lots of attention as well. Leah also went beyond cat sitting to water the plants, bring in the mail and brought in the trash cans from the curb.”

2nd review coming in. This was my original booking with Chris, the second one was an emergency extension. But as I have said in the other one, Chris is a fantastic pet sitter who truly knows and loves animals. My furr baby was very well taken care off like we've never left and I will definitely come back to Chris at any point i need a pet sitter! Top marks!

Liz was amazing with out 3 cats while we were out of the country! She communicated anything that came up and her experience with sitting and caring for a variety of animals gave us a sense of relief when we were far away. She made sure each cat got some attention, food, play time, and helped keep their space clean and tidy.

Chris was wonderful! I can’t say enough good things. My cats are very shy and he had them literally eating out of his hands on day one. He kept me informed with photos and texts and was so gentle and kind. I felt completely safe and full of trust that he had them comfortable during the heatwave that hit this week. He even did some random house tasks. He is incredible. Book him. Pay him. Tip him. It’s more than worth it.
Keri was so great with our 4 cats. She took such great care of them. There were some detailed feeding instructions and she followed them completely. She opened the windows for the cats while she was there (weather permitting per my request)so they could watch the birds. When out wifi went out she helped us out with rebooting the router. She was able to get the visits in when the weather was really bad. Great communication and we loved the daily pics she sent. She was so wonderful with our cats, we could not have been happier.

Elva was great with my dogs! She is professional, reliable, always on time, and truly cares about making sure my babies get the most out of their visit. I felt completely comfortable knowing they were in such good hands, and they were always happy and well cared for after spending time with her. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
