“Angelica is the nicest most sincere person I have met on Rover. It was my 2 dogs that were equally on a great vacation maybe even better than mine. The dogs have a ramp to their bed, other dogs to play with and a great environment to play and live. A+++. She also was extremely accommodating to our schedule and sent wonderful pictures. Will DEFINITELY use again.”

“This was our.. I lost count of how many times we had our dogs stay with Thao, and I must say she is awesome every single time. She always updates, always sends pictures, and makes sure the dogs are entertaining and having fun. On the way back home, they both passed out in my car.”

“Svetlana is awesome! She accommodated my last minute request (holiday request) and was so fast with communication (also so flexible with timing). I also loved the daily updates with photos. She took great care of my little guy and explained all the details of his bevahiour which helps me with his training. He definitely had a good time. I would recommend her highly to anyone and would for sure bring my guy back again. Thanks so much Svetlana!”
“Frankie is a rescued breeder dog and has some head noise from his previous life, especially when it comes to cages and restraints. He also has separation anxiety when he spends time away from his new family. But every now and then we all need a vacation - right? Soooo happy to have found Suzanne, she was perfect to watch Frankie while we were away. Gentle, kind and patient, I could tell she really cared. She regularly sent pictures and corresponded. Couldn't have asked for a better boarding experience!”

“Marie was great with my 3 mo. old kitten 'Goose'. She was prompt and helpful with logistics and showed great enthusiasm for pet care and kindness toward Goose. Very happy with Maries' hosting Goose at home.”

“Sophia and Andy were super accommodating. Never had to ask for a picture because they were on top of it. You can tell how much they care for pets. Made me feel like my dog Morrie was really well taken care of. Morrie came back happy and content :) Definitely recommend. Thanks so much again”

About: I am a sound healer, wife, mother to my toddler and animals. My husband is a city of chicago worker and we love the chicago area :) We are very active and love to go on long walks and love being outside with our dogs! I absolutely adore cats and love to spend time feeding the feral cats in my neighborhood. In my spare time I also love to go to the local park with my daughter to watch the squirrels and birds. I love nature. I am good with all types of animals and they love me! We have 2 dogs and 3 cats, and some chickens in our backyard. Our dogs are very friendly and love making new friends whenever they can. I truly love watching and meeting new animals and enjoy this type of work. Your pet will love and I cannot wait to meet and take care of them. Please reach out so I can help you with your pet needs! My schedule is open and flexible. My sound healing job varies but typically does not get in the way of pet sitting/ dog walking. Most days I am at home with my toddler or we are out exploring the parks. We have many pets in our home that we care for. I love to work with lists to help me to ensure all tasks are completed and that I am organized.
“Charise was amazing with our dog Zoe! Zoe came home happy, relaxed, and clearly very well cared for. Charise kept us updated throughout the stay with messages and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She took Zoe on walks, car rides, and let her play in the yard with her sweet dog Navi. You could tell Zoe was getting lots of attention and love the entire time. We also really appreciated that Charise dropped Zoe off at home for us. Highly recommend Charise if you are looking for someone caring, reliable, and attentive to watch your fur baby!”

“Sailor had a great time with his stay-cation with Tanya! Tanya is clearly comfortable with dogs of all types, including big boys like ours. Her home and yard is doggie heaven - I think I even caught Sailor wistfully looking behind him as we drove off after pick up! I appreciated the frequent communication since our guy does have some quirks. We will definitely look to Tanya for future care.”

“Eric was great at communicating and our dog came home a happy guy. I appreciated that he asked so many questions about our dog so that he knew exactly what to do. I would definitely recommend Eric.”

“Julia was great! Quick communication, easy to arrange drop off/pick up times, and clearly took great care of our dog during her stay (including lovely photos and videos throughout). Would book again!”

“Great experience leaving our girl with Noor and her family overnight after our pet care fell through somewhat last minute. I got frequent updates and photos, and I felt Theia was well cared for. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thanks!”

“Sanna and family were so unbelievably great! It was our first time using Rover and we were a little nervous to leave our baby King. But, Sanna checked in daily, sent pictures and let us know he was having the best time! This was the best experience we could have ever asked for!”

“Ian was a great host for our pup. We got regular updates and she seemed happy and safe the whole time. I think she missed her doggo friends when she came home! Would certainly book again.”

“Guadalupe was great with my Rudy! Very attentive. She kept me up to date with updates on him. I felt comfort leaving my sweet boy with her while I traveled for work. I plan on booking with her again in the future. Thank you so much!”

“Rico is an excellent dog sitter for our dog Snow. He is reliable, he sent us daily photos of Snow. We feel so comfortable leaving our dog in their care. Our dog feels at home with them. They have a well-maintained backyard that Snow can play and run around. Rico loves hanging out with our pet and takes extra time to show some love and cuddles. We highly recommend him.”

“This was our first time our 6 year old dog, Kona, stayed over at another dog sitter's home. Our dog is anxious and slow to warm up to people. Jeff and Ron were very warm, welcoming, and patient with Kona. We received regular updates and pictures. Our dog was in good spirits when we picked him up. We will definitely contact Jeff and Ron in the future!”

“Nicky was amazing. He was so kind and totally went the extra mile to make sure our dog was comfortable. She loved spending time with him and going for walks and cuddling. I would definitely rebook with him.”

“I was confident that my dog was in good hands with Christine! She sent me many adorable photos every day so I could see that he was well cared for while I was away. I would absolutely recommend Christine!”

I’ve used Rob several times over the past couple of years to watch my two pups, and I couldn’t be happier with his care. He’s always great at communicating and keeps me updated, and my dogs always come home happy and well cared for. It’s such a relief knowing they’re in great hands while I’m away. Thanks so much, Rob!
We boarded our two dogs (ages 8 & 13) with Elva. I knew we were in good hands after our Meet & Greet. Elva asked excellent questions and really wanted to understand our dogs' idiosyncrasies. She took great care of them - gave them a lot of affection, attention, and walks. One of our dogs is especially quirky, and Elva handled it well. She communicated well with us while we were away and sent video and photos. I wholeheartedly recommend Elva as a caregiver.
Michelle is such a great sitter! She is super nice, calm, and accommodating. Our doggies, Kyla & Otis, took to her right away! Michelle sent us updates throughout our trip which made us feel even more at ease. We will definitely be asking Michelle to dog sit for us again! Thanks so much Michelle!

Thank you so much for the wonderful care you gave Junior. He is a senior dog and can suffer from separation anxiety and at time refuse to eat, but your frequent updates and attentive care put my mind totally at ease. Seeing how sweet your children were with Junior made the stay extra special. He absolutely loved the kiddos, playing in the backyard, and going on his daily walks. Junior came home incredibly happy. You will absolutely be our go-to sitter moving forward! Review Highlights * Anxiety-Free Stay: Handled senior dog worry with gentle, loving attention. And frequent photo and updates * Kid-Friendly Cuddles: Junior loved snuggling and bonding with the children. * Active & Happy: Great backyard playtime and daily walks kept him thriving. * Future Booking: Officially our new permanent, go-to pet sitter.

Highly recommend Sarah! My Goldendoodle Charlie loved his extended stay while we were on vacation. It was truly like a vacation for him. Sarah has great house with huge backyard. Kids and family that love to give your dog attention. Sarah sent some pics and did some walks. 5 star hotel for dog. Thank you!!

Marie was an absolute angel. She truly cared for my 100lb baby like he was family. She is knowledgeable and really went out of her way to ensure that he was comfortable, engaged and exercised. Marie additionally worked w/ my pup on his leash skills and behavior. I 100% would recommend her for any pet, large or small, and all personality types. The world needs more animal lovers like her in the world. Thank you, Marie! You are truly the best☘️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
