“So pleased we found Elva. Her and her daughter were so sweet with my pup and I was sent daily messages, pictures and videos which put my mind at ease. I appreciated Elva taking time to learn Mochas mannerisms to take care of her better. Would totally recommend.”

“Laurianne and Sven were amazing! They sent updates and pictures each day and I felt like my pup was in good hands the whole time. Will definitely be using them again on future trips!”

“Christina responded to my booking request promptly. She was flexible with the times I could introduce our dog, Felix, to her at her place. She was warm and genuinely interested in Felix from the moment we first met, and he seemed very comfortable with her both when I dropped him off and when I picked him up. When I booked Christina, our family's travel plans had to be changed multiple times, and she was never flustered by the changes. I absolutely loved Christina's interest in our dog and her unflappability and flexibility. I would recommend her without hesitation.”

“Our dog Geddy had a great time with Lyn. He was spoiled just as we would spoil him. It was great that we didn't have to worry while we were away. We will definitely use Lyn in the future.”

“Sailor had a great time with his stay-cation with Tanya! Tanya is clearly comfortable with dogs of all types, including big boys like ours. Her home and yard is doggie heaven - I think I even caught Sailor wistfully looking behind him as we drove off after pick up! I appreciated the frequent communication since our guy does have some quirks. We will definitely look to Tanya for future care.”

“Naomi was great!! She was very prepared and ready to learn about and to care for our dogs just the way they needed. Our dogs had the best time taking long walks, lounging, and looking out the big window. She took the time to introduce our dogs and Milo and they became great friends. The house was quiet, very clean, and perfect for our dogs. We loved seeing the daily photos while we were traveling. Definitely would recommend!”

“Hannah did a fantastic job watching Coco over the last week. I was really impressed with her communication (both pre, and during), and regular photo updates. I would highly recommend Hannah and intend on trusting her again for any of my future dog needs”

“Jackie and her family were amazing with our dog. They took amazing care of him, and even took him out to play a few times. Jackie kept me updated with pictures and videos though-out the weekend. Our dog enjoyed his visit and I will be booking Jackie next time we’re in need of a sitter!!”

“Gracie had a wonderful time. She was very, very well taken care of. I had pictures at least twice a day that made me feel that she was so safe. She seemed happy and having a very good time and very comfortable. I will not hesitate to use Susan again if I need Gracie to be watched, they’re very nice people. I feel that I have also made new friends for life.”

About: I have previously worked in a dog and cat daycare, boarding, and grooming center for three years, and have watched pets of family friends since 2018. I have owned and cared for dogs, cats, snakes, birds, and more, and my family regularly fosters kittens! I am comfortable with feeding, giving medication (not injections), walking, and providing care for all types of pets. My schedule is available for overnight care at your home, daily drop-ins, single visits, or walks. Please ask me about any accommodations you may need and I will see if I can provide them. In your house, I am happy to follow any instructions about leashed or unleashed time on walks or in your backyard, will feed on your schedule, and can spend time with your pet as much as you need. I am happy to try and accommodate any changes you may need to make, give updates with photos, and tell you any behavioral or medical changes as soon as possible.
“Loren was such a big help being able to watch Rye last minute! Rye had the best week and seemed sad to be leaving haha! Loren was great at sending updates and pictures. We are so appreciative and wouldn’t hesitate to use Loren again!”

“Angelica is the nicest most sincere person I have met on Rover. It was my 2 dogs that were equally on a great vacation maybe even better than mine. The dogs have a ramp to their bed, other dogs to play with and a great environment to play and live. A+++. She also was extremely accommodating to our schedule and sent wonderful pictures. Will DEFINITELY use again.”

“Thao has kept my Golden Retriever, Sully, for two different stays when I have needed to board him when my husband and I travel. Once was for a 4 day stint and the other time was for a short weekend. She is very communicable via cell phone and responds to messages very quickly and responsibly. She has sent me updates of Sully with photos and videos and been very nice. It's been really great to be able to leave home and feel confident and trust that my dog is in good hands. She has even come to my home to pick him up before when I haven't had time to drop him off, and she's been very flexible and easy to work with. If you need to leave your pet with someone when you are vacationing, I would HIGHLY recommend her! I have been very pleased with both of my experiences with Thao and Sully always seems excited to see her, which says a lot. Thank you for taking such great care of my fur baby, Thao!!”

“Yuliya is AMAZING! My dogs loved her so much they seconds guessed coming home with me! She is my go to dog sitter and I’m very lucky to have found her on Rover. Thank you for taking such good care of Marcus and Faustina. They’ll be back to stay with you soon!”

“We are always a bit nervous about boarding our dog due to his separation anxiety, but Vicki was amazing! Communication was smooth, transparent, and responsive from start to finish. She was personable and flexible,. Our dog had opportunity to socialize with similar dogs, and daily photo updates of him playing, eating, or resting gave us peace of mind. We’re so grateful for Vicki’s excellent care and highly recommend her!”

“Nicky was great with our Frenchie. Lots of communication and photos. Would recommend if you need someone that can care for a fussy dog that needs lots of attention!”

About: I am a sound healer, wife, mother to my toddler and animals. My husband is a city of chicago worker and we love the chicago area :) We are very active and love to go on long walks and love being outside with our dogs! I absolutely adore cats and love to spend time feeding the feral cats in my neighborhood. In my spare time I also love to go to the local park with my daughter to watch the squirrels and birds. I love nature. I am good with all types of animals and they love me! We have 2 dogs and 3 cats, and some chickens in our backyard. Our dogs are very friendly and love making new friends whenever they can. I truly love watching and meeting new animals and enjoy this type of work. Your pet will love and I cannot wait to meet and take care of them. Please reach out so I can help you with your pet needs! My schedule is open and flexible. My sound healing job varies but typically does not get in the way of pet sitting/ dog walking. Most days I am at home with my toddler or we are out exploring the parks. We have many pets in our home that we care for. I love to work with lists to help me to ensure all tasks are completed and that I am organized.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Rosemont
I had such a wonderful experience leaving Mintie in Corinne's care. She took such a great care of Mintie and regularly sent me photos and videos throughout her stay, which gave me so much peace of mind and made me feel very comfortable knowing that Mintie was happy and well cared for. What I appreciated even more was how kind, understanding, and flexible she was when my travel plans unexpectedly changed due to multiple flight delays and cancellations. I had to extend Mintie’s stay more than once on very short notice, and she was incredibly accommodating and continued to take such wonderful care of her through all of the unexpected changes. Corinne truly went above and beyond to make sure Mintie was comfortable and had everything she needed. When Mintie’s stay unexpectedly became longer than planned and she ran out of food, she made sure Mintie was taken care of and even shared her own dog’s food with Mintie. She also made Mintie a cozy little bed with a pillow and blanket so she could be comfortable. Those thoughtful little things meant so much to me, especially while I was stuck away from home and worried about getting back to her. I could genuinely tell that she cared about Mintie and treated her with so much kindness and attention. I am extremely grateful to have found someone I could trust with Mintie, especially during such a stressful and unexpected situation. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone dependable, caring, and genuinely attentive to their dog. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of Mintie! ❤️

Lori and Guillermo are the best dogsitters! They've watched our dog Roxie a few times now when we've gone on vacation, and it's clear that they love her as much as we do. They're great at communicating and providing updates, and we can tell when we pick her up that she's had a fabulous time!

Loren is always so attentive with my pups. They seem to love her so much. Loren sends photo updates daily. She is always so great with them. It’s always a joy. She’s communicative and she replies quickly when messaged. You can tell she loves animals. My dogs love her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
