Over 10 Years Loving Dog Cat Care

I'm a life-long animal-lover so Rover is the perfect fit for me! For the past 30 years, I've been a dog-owner as well as a foster care-provider for dozens of dogs/puppies/cats/kittens. I've been dog-sitting on Rover for over 10 years. During that time, I have cared for purebreds, mixed breeds, tiny dogs, massive dogs, seniors and puppies as well as special needs dogs - dogs with vision/mobility issues and dogs requiring medication. I consider it a privilege to care for animals and I try to give each dog the care I'd want for my own dogs. I'm home full-time and there is nearly always someone home so our guests get plenty of attention . We also have a fully fenced yard, so our guests are free to run and play with other guest dogs as much (or little) as they like. We're generally home during the holidays and are fairly flexible so we can often accept last-minute bookings. Dogs of any size, breed or age are welcome here as long as they are house-trained, spayed/neutered, dog-friendly and cat-tolerant. For the safety of my guest dogs and family, I am not able to board dogs that dog-aggressive. However, I am available for drop-in visits for dogs/cats that prefer the comfort of their own home. If you feel your dog(s) might be happy with us, we'd love a chance to meet you!

Deborah was great with our little guy. She was very attentive to his needs and sent us updates, pics, and videos! I felt fully confident and at ease with her abilities and caring demeanor.

Deborah was an amazing dog sitter! She was so kind to take Thea under little notice before a holiday! Thea loved staying with Deborah and Deborah was so kind and loving to our pup! Truly a wonderful sitter that is very sensitive and attentive to a new dog. We will only use Deborah in the future! Such a wonderful, loving household. Thank you so much Deborah!

Deb is always so kind and responsive. We know that our Gracie is always well loved and taken care of when she is with her. She always comes home happy and not stressed, which is so reassuring now that she's getting older. She has plenty of warm soft places to snuggle and nap in her home, which is her favorite! It really helps take the pressure off of a vacation or trip knowing that I don't have to worry about Gracie's care.

My Dog Gali had another great stay at Deborah's house. When we dropped her off, Gali was excited to go in, and was happy to see Debroah. When we picked her up after 3 weeks, she looked good and healthy. From pictures I could see that Gali had a lot of fun. Thank you Deborah!

Safety, trust & environment

I want all dogs in my care to be safe. For this reason, I can not accept dogs that are aggressive toward other dogs, pets or people. I introduce new dogs gradually and separate dogs of different sizes initially. Once guest dogs are relaxed and comfortable with other dogs, they are free to relax indoors or play in my fully fenced yard. Dogs are always fed separately to avoid possible allergies or food aggression issues.

A typical day

Most guest dogs enjoy the company of other dogs and love to play in the yard. They wrestle, chase, fetch, splash in the wading pool or play in the snow depending on the season/weather. Those that prefer not to play are welcome to hang out with any of the other adults/teens in the house or enjoy a treat or toy in their own space.

In order to make sure I am the best fit for your pup, I appreciate as much information as possible about him/her. First the essentials: Is your pup spayed/neutered, housebroken and dog-friendly. In addition, I appreciate any information regarding any health issues/allergies or habit's/behavioral concerns your pup may have. I like to know about your pups eating/sleeping habits as well so your pup can have the best possible stay with us
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
