Safety, trust & environment
I want all dogs in my care to be safe. For this reason, I can not accept dogs that are aggressive toward other dogs, pets or people. I introduce new dogs gradually and separate dogs of different sizes initially. Once guest dogs are relaxed and comfortable with other dogs, they are free to relax indoors or play in my fully fenced yard. Dogs are always fed separately to avoid possible allergies or food aggression issues.

Information Deborah G. would like to know about your pet
In order to make sure I am the best fit for your pup, I appreciate as much information as possible about him/her. First the essentials: Is your pup spayed/neutered, housebroken and dog-friendly. In addition, I appreciate any information regarding any health issues/allergies or habit's/behavioral concerns your pup may have. I like to know about your pups eating/sleeping habits as well so your pup can have the best possible stay with us
A typical day
Most guest dogs enjoy the company of other dogs and love to play in the yard. They wrestle, chase, fetch, splash in the wading pool or play in the snow depending on the season/weather. Those that prefer not to play are welcome to hang out with any of the other adults/teens in the house or enjoy a treat or toy in their own space.

Over 10 Years Loving Dog Cat Care
Pet care experience
I'm a life-long animal-lover so Rover is the perfect fit for me! For the past 30 years, I've been a dog-owner as well as a foster care-provider for dozens of dogs/puppies/cats/kittens. I've been dog-sitting on Rover for over 10 years. During that time, I have cared for purebreds, mixed breeds, tiny dogs, massive dogs, seniors and puppies as well as special needs dogs - dogs with vision/mobility issues and dogs requiring medication. I consider it a privilege to care for animals and I try to give each dog the care I'd want for my own dogs. I'm home full-time and there is nearly always someone home so our guests get plenty of attention . We also have a fully fenced yard, so our guests are free to run and play with other guest dogs as much (or little) as they like. We're generally home during the holidays and are fairly flexible so we can often accept last-minute bookings. Dogs of any size, breed or age are welcome here as long as they are house-trained, spayed/neutered, dog-friendly and cat-tolerant. For the safety of my guest dogs and family, I am not able to board dogs that dog-aggressive. However, I am available for drop-in visits for dogs/cats that prefer the comfort of their own home. If you feel your dog(s) might be happy with us, we'd love a chance to meet you!

Reviews
Odin was well taken care of.

Deborah is great! Scooby was comfortable right away. She had great communication and updates. We will definitely use her again!

Deborah was great. She gave me confidence that Kenzie would be in good hands and enjoy her stay, which I’m sure Kenzie did. I really appreciated the updates and photos and the good report I received about Kenzie at pick up.

My golden retriever, Millie, had a blast with Deborah! Deborah is incredibly knowledgeable and has a great understanding of dogs’ moods, personalities, and anxieties. Because Millie can be a little anxious, Deborah thoughtfully introduced her to the other pups at a pace that made her comfortable, and before long she fit right in. I received plenty of updates and adorable photos of Millie having fun, playing, and enjoying lots of snuggles. I will definitely be reaching out to Deborah in the future when we need care for Millie again!
