“Jackie saved the day, offering to sit for my dog CoCo when the other sitter failed to come through for me. She is kind, thoughtful, responsible, and communicative, and I love her Black Cat! I recommend her whole-heartedly. :)”

“We could not ask for a better first experience. Tanya took excellent care of our new puppy. From potty breaks to play times she was there with him sending updates and pics. We were able to enjoy our night knowing he was in good hands. Thanks again.”

“Quyeisha is great! She’ll give you updates and answers your questions promptly! She gave a lot of compliments with Bruno which tells a lot on how great of an Alpha she is! Will definitely book her whenever we visit Chicago next time!”

“Hands down one of the best sitters EVER! My cuddle bug had been going to her previous sitter for about 5 months and was still trying to warm up to them. However, after a week with Jonelle, Gina was wiggling her butt ready to go. One day she just walked into Jonelle's house without turning back to say bye or to whine. She's truly amazing and makes sure your dogs are treated as part of her family. Her family is just as great about letting your dog have space and build up comfort to bond with them. If you want someone who has great communication, is compassionate, and loves on your dogs (to the point you might consider your dog a traitor) then Jonelle is absolutely the person for you. All around a great person and sitter.”

“We appreciate how Sasha took such good care of our senior dog. He enjoyed meeting her dog and napping in her comfortable home. She responded quickly to our initial request, communicated clearly along the way, and sent several cute photos. I definitely recommend Sasha!”
“1st impressions is everything. It was Friday and we needed a puppy sitter on Sunday for Kira. Our first time using Karina and she took our Kira with open arms and a smile. Taking care of Kira included not just feeding and potty breaks, but also socializing with her dogs and a couple of videos of play time. THATS LOVE! Highly recommend her for puppy/dog parents who want a pleasant experience for that special member in the family. When we took Kira home, she was so exhausted from the fun she had with the other dogs, she was asleep for the rest of the night.”

“Arlene is great! Benny was so excited to return to her house. She went out of her way to make pickup easy - taking him to the park, where we were able to meet her. Great service and care.”

About: As a child of a mother who was raised on a farm, we always had dogs, cats, bunnies, hamsters, gerbils, fish and birds growing up. As an adult that trend continues. Since 2012 I've been involved in dog rescue. Between volunteering at Chicago Animal Control and Care and fostering dogs with ALIVE Rescue, Be Fido's Friend and One Tail at a Time, I've learned a lot about animal health, happiness, welfare, training, dog introductions, play, etc. I started my Rover business while my now deceased and beloved Pit Bull, Stella, was battling cancer. The bills were mounting and doggie daycare has been a blessing. Stella loved the doggie company and I was able to provide quality care for her. Fast forward a couple years later and I now have regular clients and a new ones that love my testimonials. We're open for business and are excited to meet your beloved fur family members. Your dog will be lovingly cared for while staying with me. **PS - if I'm not available the dates you need, message me anyway. We'll discuss your pet and I may be able to make an exception. Also, if you're looking for a few hours a day daycare, please message me. Options! Thank you. I have worked full time from my home for years, and have routines in place that my pack and visiting dogs appreciate. We have plenty of breaks during the day for a backyard play and sunshine in my fenced back yard. During inclement weather, we have a basement play area. With 11 years experience fostering every demographic of dog, I have the experience to assure my fur baby guests are safe, needs met and are happy. I have a detailed client profile that I ask my client's parents to complete that helps me to provide the very best environment based on their unique needs. I am unable to accept unneutered males (medical exceptions may apply). Dogs must be dog and human friendly. For the most part, we are a cage free environment where doggie guests are able to interact and be safely socialize with each other.

We have an 11-year-old son and also have three small dogs of our own that are extremely friendly, playful, up-to-date with all of their shots, and in great health. I believe pets complete a home. I am extremely passionate and enthusiastic about the care and needs of all types of animals. My experience in Pet Care began from having my own pets and caring for the ones of family and friends over a span of 40 plus years. I have also fostered a few dogs over the years. I have a substantial amount of experience with cats, guinea pigs, bunnies, hamsters, turtles, fish and so many others. My goal is to ensure your comfort and confidence, knowing that your pet will be loved and cared for as if it were our own. Should your pet require any medical attention or medication I am completely capable of providing this service, while in my care. We hope you consider us. I look forward to providing a caring, efficient service for your pets. My schedule is extremely flexible, as I am recently retired. For the exception of dropping off and picking up my son from school I am home all day to provide attention and care for your pet. I have a large yard with a privacy fence and three friendly, small dogs to keep your pup company. If preferred, I can easily crate your dog if needed.
“Finley is super responsive. We booked a last minute daycare date, and Finley was great with reaching out with any questions. We also received videos and pics which is much appreciated! Thanks Finley!”

Sarah accommodated my daycare request at short notice and I couldn’t be happier to have chosen her! Both my little pups have special needs and she put me at ease with her communication and multiple photo updates. She was very thorough with understanding their care and I will absolutely use her services again next time we’re in town. Highly recommend if you are looking for a professional pet lover! Thank you, Sarah!

Lauriann and Sven were so accommodating and supportive of our pup’s needs for doggy day care. They were responsive and communicative and followed our instructions and checked in and sent pics. So thankful for their gracious and loving care for our dog. Would definitely book with them again!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Norridge commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
