About: I’ve been a lifelong dog lover and hands-on caregiver. I raised my own dog from the time I was 15, so I have real experience caring for a dog through every stage of life, from energetic younger years to senior care. I understand the importance of patience, routine, and paying attention to changes in behavior or health. In addition to caring for my own dog, I’ve babysat family pets many times and am comfortable with both large and small dogs. I take pet safety and comfort seriously and treat every animal as if they were my own. Whether your pet needs playtime, calm companionship, or extra TLC, I’m attentive, gentle, and dependable. Pet care is now my full-time focus, which means I have a flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to every pet in my care. I'm available throughout the week and on weekends, making it easy to accommodate a variety of schedules, including last-minute requests when possible. I plan ahead to make sure any pets in my care receive consistent attention, exercise, and companionship. Pet care fits well into my routine, and I’m reliable about sticking to schedules and instructions so your pet’s day stays as normal and stress-free as possible. When caring for pets overnight, my priority is safety, comfort, and keeping their routine as consistent as possible to your dogs needs. I make sure pets have a calm, secure environment and follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, and any special needs. I’m attentive to behavior, energy levels, and comfort throughout their stay, and I never leave pets unattended for long periods of time. I keep spaces clean, pet-safe, and free of hazards, and I’m careful to respect boundaries, especially for pets who may need time to adjust in a new environment. I provide regular updates so owners feel confident and at ease while their pets are in my care. Whether your pet needs playtime, quiet companionship, or extra reassurance overnight, I treat them with patience, respect, and the same care I would give my own.

About: Hi, my name is Rick. I would like to start by saying my schedule is extremely flexible, as I am recently retired from the Office of the Chief Judge, Circuit Court of Cook County. My family and I have a home that has plenty of space to accommodate your pet. We have an 11-year-old son and also have three small dogs of our own that are extremely friendly, playful, up-to-date with all of their shots, and in great health. I believe pets complete a home. I am extremely passionate and enthusiastic about the care and needs of all types of animals. My experience in Pet Care began from having my own pets and caring for the ones of family and friends over a span of 40 plus years. I have also fostered a few dogs over the years. I have a substantial amount of experience with cats, guinea pigs, bunnies, hamsters, turtles, fish and so many others. My goal is to ensure your comfort and confidence, knowing that your pet will be loved and cared for as if it were our own. Should your pet require any medical attention or medication I am completely capable of providing this service, while in my care. We hope you consider us. I look forward to providing a caring, efficient service for your pets. My schedule is extremely flexible, as I am recently retired. For the exception of dropping off and picking up my son from school I am home all day to provide attention and care for your pet. I have a large yard with a privacy fence and three friendly, small dogs to keep your pup company. If preferred, I can easily crate your dog if needed.

“I honestly can’t say enough good things about Ruben! We booked him to watch Tsuki for 3 days, and he was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. He accepted our request last minute and was incredibly understanding of my situation. From the beginning, he genuinely wanted to help, which meant so much to me. Ruben was so kind and even offered to show me his place beforehand and clearly explain how everything works while he dog sits. He communicated so well throughout Tsuki’s 3 day stay and consistently gave me updates, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was in good hands. One moment that really stood out to me was on the 3rd day when I realized I had forgotten to pack Tsuki’s food. I was already feeling stressed and overwhelmed, and Ruben immediately offered to feed her rice and chicken. It may seem like a small thing, but it genuinely meant so much to me in that moment and really showed me how willing he was to help and make sure Tsuki was taken care of. You can genuinely tell that Ruben cares about the dogs he watches. The way he talks about them and the way he gives updates felt so genuine. You can tell that he really takes the time to get to know each dog, pays attention to their needs, and make sure they’re comfortable and happy. It was clear to me that his care for Tsuki wasn’t just because she was staying with him it’s genuinely how he treats the dogs he dog sits for. Ruben is such a great guy with a kind heart and a really good attitude. I’m incredibly grateful for the care and support he gave Tsuki and for how reassuring he was throughout her 3 day stay. I would absolutely recommend Ruben to anyone looking for someone who will genuinely care for their dog and treat them with kindness and patience. Tsuki was definitely in good hands! ❤️”
