“Fantastic pet sitter. Kelly was thorough, communicative throughout the whole process and most importantly took the best care with our two kittens. She made sure they were fed, watered, clean litter, played with and even got their medicine as needed. Can’t recommend her highly enough and we would absolutely use her services again. Thank you so much Kelly.”

About: I worked in the doggy daycare industry for over 5 years and have plenty of experience caring for dogs with special needs, and of all different sizes and breeds. Shortly after leaving the industry to pursue another career path, I ended up really missing my camp days so i started dog sitting for family, friends and any/all of their referrals. It’s been about 5-6 years of helping family/friends with their pups and now that I have more freedom working from home, I’d love to share my time with your furry friends/family. I currently work from home and have a pretty flexible schedule so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups. Working from home gives me more availability for any of your last minute needs. I have a fenced in yard which is perfect for playing fetch/catch to burn off a little extra energy. If your pup isn’t as active, they can use the space for a nice sunbathing session.
“Danielle has taken care of our 2 cats and dog for two years every time we leave town. She’s always willing to go above and beyond and water your plants or grab your mail. She sends detailed updates daily/throughout the day, is always so attentive and lets us know if she notices anything abnormal with the animals at all. She’s extremely flexible and works her schedule (even holidays) around taking care of them. Our animals have all come to love her. We couldn’t recommend her more! We’re about to move and will miss having her to take care of our fur babies.”
About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for pets and have grown up around both cats and dogs. I’ve owned cats for many years and had a family dog growing up, so I’m comfortable with different pet personalities and routines. I’m familiar with feeding schedules, litter box and yard care, playtime, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. What sets me apart is that I’m attentive, reliable, and patient with animals. I understand that every pet is different, whether they’re energetic, shy, or independent, and I adjust my care to what makes them feel most comfortable. I always treat pets like they’re my own and I’m happy to send updates and photos so owners have peace of mind while they’re away I have a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate consistent time to pet care throughout the week. I’m able to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits depending on your pet’s routine. I make sure feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and check-ins are done on time so pets stay comfortable and relaxed while their owners are away. I’m also happy to provide updates and photos during visits so you know your pet is doing well. I prioritize safety, routine, and making pets feel comfortable in their environment. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications if needed, walks, and litter box or yard care. I also make sure pets get attention, playtime, and companionship so they don’t feel stressed while their owners are away. I respect each home and keep everything clean and secure, including making sure doors, gates, and food storage are handled properly. I’m attentive to pet behavior and always keep an eye out for anything unusual so I can communicate with the owner right away if needed. My goal is to keep pets as relaxed and safe as possible by maintaining their normal routine and environment.
“Ola was a wonderful cat sitter, especially for my older cat who requires special attention and insulin injections. She handled everything with great care and confidence. I truly appreciated her reliability and how comfortable she made me feel knowing my cats were in good hands. Highly recommend! :)”

About: I grew up with dogs my entire life, including a German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, and Pitbull mix, so I’m very comfortable with both large and high-energy breeds. I also have experiences with extended stay puppy sitting where I managed feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and creating a calm, structured environment. I understand how important consistency, patience, and attentiveness are, especially with puppies. I’m currently preparing to welcome a Golden Retriever puppy of my own, so I’m very intentional about creating safe, positive experiences for dogs. I work Monday through Friday but my partner is currently home all day, so someone will always be there to care for your dog! We are open to boarding any night. Walks I am primarily available after work or sometimes the morning before. My partner is currently available most anytime! We are both reliable and detail oriented. We are prepping to bring in our very own golden retriever puppy, so will treat your dog as if they are our own! As mentioned above I work Mon-Friday roughy 8-4. My partner is currently home throughout the day so someone will always be there to care for your dog. We are open to boarding almost any day especially weekends where we are both home. Walks and drop ins work best for me before work hours or after but my partner has open availability so between us we can accommodate to you! Feel free to ask if you have any specific availability questions! :) Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I live in a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment and am very attentive to routines, feeding schedules, and safety during walks and care. I always keep dogs securely leashed on walks, avoid unsafe situations, and closely monitor their behavior and well-being. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your dog, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m reliable, respectful of your home, and committed to providing a safe and positive experience. I’m also happy to send regular photo and video updates so you always feel confident and connected while your dog is in my care.
About: Background: For the past six years I have dedicated my time to working with animals. When I was in middle school, my family adopted our first two dogs. Soon after, I started housesitting and walking family and friends' pets, igniting my passion. After seeing how rewarding working with animals was, I devoted my professional career towards working in an animal-related field. Relevant Experience: Since highschool, I have worked at two different dog daycares as an animal handler and dog trainer. I have also worked in animal shelters as a volunteer and employee. These experiences have given me the opportunities to work with dogs and cats of all sizes, ages and temperaments. I have experience medicating animals orally and through injections. As a dog handler, I became comfortable working with groups of dogs and recognizing body language in play. As a trainer, I implemented a positive-reward based training plan to work on basic manners as well as certain behavior adjustments. Lastly, working at animal shelters gave me knowledge of animal vaccines and medications as well as comfortably handling dogs and cats of any temperament. What I can offer: I offer dog walks, drop-in visits and pet visiting at the owner's residence. I am able to provide an active and loving environment for your animals while you are away, this can include any amount of exercise needed for your pet! While I am caring for your animal, I will be available to reach 24/7 in case of emergencies. I am also happy to answer any training and behavior questions you may have about your pets. I also have the covid vaccination and am willing to go above and beyond to make sure we are staying safe. I look forward to meeting and spending time with all your wonderful pets! About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 7 years old. I’ve raised many puppies and taken care of them into their senior days. I’ve provided pure love, safety, care, and tons of cuddles with many many many doggies. My own throughout my entire life, and for many friends, neighbors, family, and clients. My schedule is pretty open and flexible right now. So I’d have all the time to give your pups all my time and attention. Availability 7 days a week. I have a fenced yard. A safety gate blocking the stairs to the basement so no little doggies that might have trouble slipping on stairs can get to them or the basement. A dogs safety is always my utmost priority.
“If I could give more stars than 5 I would. Sam is the only sitter that my cat trusted enough to come out of hiding. I have a cat with a traumatic history and normally he does not budge from the farthest depths under the bed. I finally can stop worrying about my gentle giant while I am away.”

“Paulina was very accommodating and patient with our fearful dog. She allowed us to go on our camping trip with the peace of mind that Milo was taken care of. She was very easy to communicate with and sent us frequent updates.”

“Heather did an Awesome Job caring for our Fur Babies!!! She was so reliable and did a Great job communicating with me every visit! They were both happy when we got home :) I highly recommend her for any pet care!!! Thanks again!”

“Brian is an outstanding sitter! I was in the hospital having a baby and was experiencing so much stress finding a trustworthy person to watch my senior pit bull in my home. He cannot be boarded or crated. My dog has separation anxiety and Brian was able to help calm him and walk him or just hang out at the house with him when he needed a nap. Unexpectedly, my daughter needed to stay in the hospital and Brian was flexible and understanding. You are a life safer. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking great care of my dog-son.”

“Cristina helped me out with some short term dog care needs on very short notice and I'll be forever grateful. She dropped in on my pups several times a day and always took care of all of their needs. She did a great job of handling my excitable golden doodle. Thanks Cristina!”

About: I have extensive hands-on experience caring for cats of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs. I grew up in a house fostering cats, which taught me how to support animals as they adjust to new environments, routines, and people. At home, I have six cats of my own, so I’m very comfortable managing multiple pets and understanding different personalities, from shy and independent to playful and affectionate. I also have experience providing medical care. One of my cats is on seizure medication, and I am responsible for administering those medications consistently and safely. Because of this, I am very attentive to routines, medication schedules, and monitoring for any changes in behavior or health. I understand how important it is to follow instructions closely and keep pet parents updated for peace of mind. Overall, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m patient, calm, and reliable, and I truly enjoy providing a safe, loving, and stress-free environment for animals while their owners are away. I’m a nursing student with a strong background in caregiving, responsibility, and attention to detail. I attend classes Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, with Monday being my longest day on campus. I have Thursdays and weekends fully free, which allows me plenty of time to focus on pet care, playtime, and companionship. I live alone in a quiet apartment, creating a calm and low-stress environment that’s especially great for cats. I also have one friendly cat of my own, so I understand feline routines, boundaries, and the importance of maintaining a clean, safe space. I’m very mindful about introductions and always prioritize comfort and safety. As a nursing student, I’m detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable following care instructions, including feeding schedules and medications. I treat every pet with patience and kindness, and I truly enjoy providing a loving, peaceful home while pet parents are away. Safety and trust are always my top priorities. I understand that every cat is different, and I take the time to respect each cat’s personality, routine, and boundaries. Whether a cat is social or more independent, I let them adjust at their own pace and never force interaction. I follow care instructions closely, keep a calm and clean environment, and pay attention to any changes in behavior so pets feel safe and comfortable at all times.
About: 23 years of dedication & genuine love for what I do. I've pretty much done it all except for training. Primarily grooming but also have extensive experience with walking, boarding, day care, home/vacation visits & house sits. I've been a home groomer for the past 8 years but due to allergies, need to switch modes. Over those years I regularly attended workshops & seminars to continue to educate myself & hone my craft. Including certification courses in puppy handling, senior care, proper sanitization, business compliance, skin assessment, & CPR. This only means I have been educated on these subjects, I am not an expert. As mentioned, I was a home groomer so I'll be turning my grooming room into an area for daycare/boarding. I am home based and plan to stay that way. Pets in my home will have a designated area for eating & sleeping but will have freedom to walk about for the most part. I have a large, fenced back yard with plenty of space to run & play. The yard will be the primary potty area. Walks are available for an added charge. Caring for pets in the clients home will be based on the instructions given by owner.
About: I have taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. I have walked dogs for pretty much everyone in my family. Big dogs are my favorite! I have a pit/lab mix and a Maltese at home! My baby Maltese is old but I still love him. I am a big guy so I can handle your big dogs! I am a full time teacher, but dogs are a big part of my life. I get out of work at 4 pm so anytime after that can be dedicated to walking/caring for your baby! I am going to start with just weekends, but I will be looking to open my calendar more as I get used to it. If you urgently need a weekday, just let me know! We can make it happen. I have a large fenced backyard, and two loving fur babies myself. I keep them crated for the most part, especially to not overwhelm any new friends!
“Kristen has been amazing! She is kind and patient, and has been very reliable. She has been great at taking care of my little Yorkie, taking her for walks and playing with her to burn off some energy! Highly recommend!”

Melrose Park pet parents share their Rover experiences
Always dependable and reliable, Alma is the best. She was more than willing to help us adjust our booking after a family emergency came up midway through our trip. Beyond that, we’d always get timely updates with a ton of photos of our cats. If I could give a sixth star, I would.

I'm so glad I found Megan! She was the perfect sitter for Gordon and Diane. Her daily updates were thorough, the pictures were adorable, and she left my place immaculate. While I don't want to leave them again anytime soon, I would have Megan back in a heartbeat to watch my kitties.

My cat received caring and helpful attention from Kara, the cat sitter. Especially when, as she is so friendly, kitty Francine did let her approach! It's the first time ever in this former hoarding victim's life, a stranger was allowed to see, and photograph, Francine! Thank you so much Kara!

Lauren was fantastic with our senior golden retriever with mobility issues and who required medication. She visited our home for a meet and greet and again for key drop off. She came to our home three times per day and meticulously cared for our family dog while we were gone for 12 days. Lauren was timely with communications and kept us updated on his care providing pictures and dialogue of his daily events. We would highly recommend Lauren for pet sitting with your pet of any abilities. We will definitely be using Lauren again as a dog sitter in the future!
