“Thank you Angelica for caring for my fur baby while I was away! Angelica is a great communicator throughout from time of booking up until the end of stay. She is very passionate when caring for your fur baby. Overall a great sitter and highly recommended!! Please expect to receive pictures and videos of your fur baby interacting with other fur babies.”

“Gabriela and Richard were so kind and sweet with my toy poodle! They even took her on little adventures to get doggie ice cream and nice walks around the neighborhood, aside from plenty of outside time in their own fenced-in backyard! Gabriela was super great about texting updates and super cute pics of my girl! And they even got her to eat a good bit while I was away even though she usually tries to go on a hunger strike in my absence. Gabriela met us for like 15 mins at the local park before boarding and got to know my dog and garner some info from me, which I really appreciated and not a lot of boarders do that! My girl was very happy when I picked her up and I would absolutely rebook Gabriela and Richard! Highly recommend!”

“Maria and her family were wonderful. They sent me constant updates and pictures of my dog playing with theirs. He came back happy, healthy, and energetic. If I need a sitter again, they will be at the top of the list of people I call.”

“Robert did great! Even though Logan was there for a shorter stay, I got plenty of pics and Logan looked happy/comfortable in all of them! I picked him up this morning and he's exhausted so I'm sure he had a good time”

“This was our first time using Rover, and we could not have been happier with Jan. She genuinely cared for Niko for 8 nights. I know she made him feel loved and well cared. Our Niko doesn't warm up to everyone easily he’s a 14 year old Shiba Inu he doesn’t like to be alone, but he warmed up to Jan as days went by. Jan was absolutely amazing she took such great care of Niko. I had peace of mind receiving regular updates and photos while we were away. Our Niko came home happy, clearly I am sure he was well cared. We truly appreciate the kindness, professionalism, PATIENCE and attention Jan gave my Niko he’s my first furry child in my family. I know she had a hard time with him because he was anxious and howling a lot, but I greatly appreciate her patience!!! We'll definitely return to Jan for her services. THANK YOU Jan! 🙏☺️”

“Shirley is the BEST. She cared for our kitten with multiple congenital issues (cleft palate & twisted back legs) and accommodated her litterbox & play area to fit her mobility needs, along with tube feeding her by hand. I can tell she truly cares for animals and looks out for both pets and owners. She went above & beyond in consulting her veterinary knowledge from working in a specialty clinic to make it easier for us as owners to care for our Callie & plan for all her needs in the future. I got so many updates & pics/videos of Callie over the weekend, & we couldn't stop talking about how grateful we were she was spending the night with Shirley. We send love & thanks!!!”

“This was our puppy’s first time being away from us and Connie helped it go smoothly! She was great at sending a couple pictures while we were away, and when we picked him up, he was clearly very happy and comfortable in her home. She’s warm and welcoming.”

“Michelle did a wonderful job caring for my puppy, Mabel. She was an excellent communicator, kept me updated and sent the cutest photos throughout Mabel's stay. As anyone with a puppy knows, they can be full of energy and a little chaotic at times, but Michelle handled Mabel's craziness with patience and confidence.”

“This was our first time booking with Jenny and it was for a full 6 days. I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter for Penny! It’s always nerve-wracking to send your dog with someone new but Jenny was so responsive and clearly took such good care of her. She sent several updates a day with pictures and it was clear that Penny was comfortable and having a great time! Will be booking with Jenny again the next time we need a sitter. Thank you Jenny!!”

“Sarah was great. She took very good care of my dog and cat and kept me updated with photos and recaps of their activities. She obviously loves animals and I felt my boys were very safe in her care--I recommend her highly.”

“Kimberly took care of my dog for a week and was fantastic. She was very responsive and sent lots of photos and updates throughout the stay. My dog looked happy and comfortable the entire time. I really appreciated the care and attention she gave. I’d happily have her watch him again.”

“Bailey is a caring, knowledgeable and experienced pet owner and caretaker. Freddy was well-cared for and I was sent several photos during the day to let me know how he was doing. Bailey was sensitive in incorporating Freddy into her pack of two dogs. I felt very comfortable and confident that Freddy was well cared for. Thank you!”

“First timer to book through Rover and it was a smashing success! Juliet seemed well cared for and entertained while her family left her for a long weekend. I would definitely book with John again. I think that Juliet got to hang with another dog put her at ease in a new home. And loved that we received periodic photos of her enjoying her vacation. Thank you!”

“Katherine and her family were great to Lily during her stay. The weather was definitely not in our favor during her stay but Katie didn’t shy away from getting outside still, taking her to the dog park and bathing her as necessary due to the muddy weather. She also worked through some doggy anxiety and was great with sending photos and updates. It was great to know she was in good hands.”

About: Hi, I’m Haley, my dog skipper and I work from home. I have the space and would love to host dogs in our home. Skipper is a huge fan of sleepovers and I love all dogs! I work from home so aside from meetings (occasionally offsite) I’m typically home and have a big yard for dogs to enjoy! I also love to take walks and trip to the park if the dog enjoys it! Any dog in my house becomes a member of the family, they’re allowed to sleep in bed with me or lounge on the furniture. I have a huge fenced in yard for them to roam in and provide frequent walks for exercise.

“Yuliya is AMAZING! My dogs loved her so much they seconds guessed coming home with me! She is my go to dog sitter and I’m very lucky to have found her on Rover. Thank you for taking such good care of Marcus and Faustina. They’ll be back to stay with you soon!”

“Malchom and his family were so good with our dogs! They get tons of play time and walks and were so tired when they got home. We will definitely book with them again.”

“They were really great with my two boys and they came back home smelling soo good and looking soo happy I will definitely be using you guys again great service 🤩”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Melrose Park
I’ve used Rob several times over the past couple of years to watch my two pups, and I couldn’t be happier with his care. He’s always great at communicating and keeps me updated, and my dogs always come home happy and well cared for. It’s such a relief knowing they’re in great hands while I’m away. Thanks so much, Rob!
Eniya and her family are the best. They cared for Rah twice, and each time has been a wonderful experience. When walking up to Eniya's house this past and second time, Rah ran up and was happy to be back. That did everything for me. Once more, during her stay, even while the family was handling unforeseen situations, Eniya still tended to Rah with high regard. Full hearted endorsement of Eniya!

Michelle is such a great sitter! She is super nice, calm, and accommodating. Our doggies, Kyla & Otis, took to her right away! Michelle sent us updates throughout our trip which made us feel even more at ease. We will definitely be asking Michelle to dog sit for us again! Thanks so much Michelle!

Colleen and her family did a fantastic job sitting for our pup (8mo doodle). We met her in advance so our dogs could test it out. This was a new experience for both of us so it was great that they were willing to meet in advance. The home and backyard provide a very dog friendly space. Family is very friendly and great with dogs. I received daily photos and little updates on how things were going.

Robert and his family took excellent care of Spruce while we were away on an extended trip for nearly two weeks. Our pup is a one year old with a lot of energy for playing and had such a blast playing endless fetch in their fenced yard and with the dogs who would come by for in-home daycare. We got absolutely regular updates (with absolutely incredible action shots!) while we were traveling and it was clear to see Spruce was having a wonderful time and was being well cared for, and that knowledge and peace of mind is such a gift especially when we were thousands of miles away. Highly recommend!

Yolanda was incredibly communicative, reliable, and took wonderful care of Atlas. He had such a great stay! She even surprised us with a thoughtful goodie bag and an adorable photo of Atlas when we picked him up. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Yolanda, and we'll definitely book with her again!

This was my first time leaving my dog with a sitter. Things could not have gone smoother. I met with her in advance of the booking. She clearly loves dogs and taking care of them. My dog is very active and she has a nice backyard for the dogs to run and play. She then had to coordinate with my son on the pickup as I was still out of town. She was very accommodating and helpful with both of us. Will 100% use again!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
