“Maddie is very responsive, reliable, and accommodating with last-minute requests. She’s great with Ollie and always leaves thoughtful notes and pictures after her visits. We really appreciate her help!”

“Kirsten was extremely helpful with both a last minute booking and with dealing with a special requirement for keeping my two dogs separated. I felt very comfortable being out of town knowing she was checking in on them.”

“Brian is an outstanding sitter! I was in the hospital having a baby and was experiencing so much stress finding a trustworthy person to watch my senior pit bull in my home. He cannot be boarded or crated. My dog has separation anxiety and Brian was able to help calm him and walk him or just hang out at the house with him when he needed a nap. Unexpectedly, my daughter needed to stay in the hospital and Brian was flexible and understanding. You are a life safer. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking great care of my dog-son.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 7 years old. I’ve raised many puppies and taken care of them into their senior days. I’ve provided pure love, safety, care, and tons of cuddles with many many many doggies. My own throughout my entire life, and for many friends, neighbors, family, and clients. My schedule is pretty open and flexible right now. So I’d have all the time to give your pups all my time and attention. Availability 7 days a week. I have a fenced yard. A safety gate blocking the stairs to the basement so no little doggies that might have trouble slipping on stairs can get to them or the basement. A dogs safety is always my utmost priority.
“Odalys went above and beyond with my five cats while I was on vacation. She updated me at every visit as to how they were all doing. My cats enjoyed her company. She followed all of my instructions. I would definitely have her take care of my cats again when I go on my next vacation...without hesitation!”

“Kristin went above and beyond taking care of my cats medications while I was traveling. My parents were there as well but cannot manage the medications. They enjoyed Kristin’s company very much and couldn’t say enough nice things about her. She even contacted my vet with questions, which I really appreciated. Kristin stopped over to meet and discuss details before the trip which gave me a lot of peace of mind. She has a great way about her. I highly recommend Kristin.”

About: I’ve had pets my whole life, they’ve always held a special place in my heart. From dogs and cats to horses and more, I love getting to know each animal’s unique personality. Whether your pet loves to play, cuddle, explore, or simply enjoys calm company, I’ll care for them with the same love, patience, and attention I’d give my own fur babies! As a licensed esthetician, I create my own schedule & have the flexibility to work around your pet’s routine, making scheduling stress free for both of us. You can count on me to be dependable, respectful of your home, and to keep you updated with messages and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in loving, capable hands. Pet care has always been a natural part of my day to day routine because I’ve grown up around animals & have cared for pets for majority of my life. I work part time as an esthetician, meaning I can create my own schedule, which gives me flexibility throughout the week for walks, visits, & overnight stays! The pet’s safety, comfort, & routine would be my highest priorities. I like to take the time to learn each pet’s personality, feeding schedule, medications, favorite activities, etc so they feel secure and cared for. Whether your pet is shy, playful, independent, or needs extra patience, I always respect their pace. I’ll l keep your home clean, follow your instructions carefully, & provide regular photo and video updates so you always know how your furry family members are doing.🐾
About: I worked in the doggy daycare industry for over 5 years and have plenty of experience caring for dogs with special needs, and of all different sizes and breeds. Shortly after leaving the industry to pursue another career path, I ended up really missing my camp days so i started dog sitting for family, friends and any/all of their referrals. It’s been about 5-6 years of helping family/friends with their pups and now that I have more freedom working from home, I’d love to share my time with your furry friends/family. I currently work from home and have a pretty flexible schedule so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups. Working from home gives me more availability for any of your last minute needs. I have a fenced in yard which is perfect for playing fetch/catch to burn off a little extra energy. If your pup isn’t as active, they can use the space for a nice sunbathing session.

About: I have always loved taking care of all types of Animals since I was a little kid. From taking them out to go potty during, talking them on walks, or just simply hanging out with them in the home so they are not to lonely when the owners are away. I also have experience working in a vets office. I work in the school district, because of this I have lots of time during the summer months to help take care of your fur babies. Although I am unable to watch pets in my home I would be happy to come to you. If you have a safe yard to play in we could hang out there and throw the ball around or just bask in the sun with lots of pets and belly rubs. I love nature as much as I do animals so I would also love to take them on different adventures around the neighborhood as well

About: I love dogs and came across this site and thought how it would be nice to have guests in my home. I have a decent sized back yard and there is a walking trail I could walk a pup or two along. I would do my best to keep your dog comfortable in my home. I have four kids in my home that have so much love for animals. Hope to hear from you soon! There are pets in the home but I do not keep in the same spaces at any time regardless if friendly or not. It’s more for the comfort of a new space for your pet and for yours as an owner. I do work a lot. However Thursday thru Sunday’s I am home full time during the day. Monday thru weds I work regular business hours and also have a crew at home willing to live up and care for our guest. We would regulate one room to your pet but it’s with us. Our family room where your pet will never be alone. Always someone watching tv, relaxing, or even sleeping in.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
