About: Hi! My name is heather and I am a total dog and cat lover! No matter the breed, age or quirky personalities I love them all. I used to volunteer at a shelter in Iowa where I spent most of my time keeping the immuno-compromised cats and dogs company as they had to be isolated from the others in the shelter. Since then, I’ve trained my own dogs to be potty trained outside and be comfortable riding in cars. I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for over 10 years. The longest I’ve cat sat was for 10 days and left a personal “journal” for the owners from the cats point of view. The longest I’ve dog sat was 7 days. I love walking dogs, The longer the walk the better so when mom and dad come home they are ready for all the cuddles. I'm bubbly and have been told I'm "high energy" so I love to play with animals but also know when it's time to just relax and be couch potatoes while watching Animal Planet. I've taken care of special needs dogs who are leash aggressive, I've worked with senior dogs who move a little more leisurely and I've worked with puppies - helping them get acclimated to walking with a leash and harness. I’m working full time as a physical therapist but am available to care for your loved furry friend Wednesdays and Fridays after 2:30. I am available Sundays after 1pm. I have a fenced back yard and my little guy loves to run around and chase leaves. Loves to sniff every twig. For my past clients I take their dogs for long walks in their neighborhood, sometimes run with them on lease if they have a ton of energy. I have the animal earn my trust first, put my hands out to sniff, allow them to approach me as I am a guest in their home. I love to lay on the floor with them, let them know I am a trusted friend.

About: I live in Chicago’s Northwest just outside of O’hare with my 7 year old Boston Terrier-Boxer named Lilly, whom I’ve had since she was 7 weeks old. Before Lilly, I grew up with 2 dogs, both small and large, along with several cats and other pets. I have gone through professional dog training with all 3 of our dogs, most recently with my own puppy. I have always been a dog lover at heart and love taking care of pets. I have dog sat for several of my friends over the years, and I have taken care of dogs ranging from miniature pinschers to Great Danes. I believe in positive reinforcement training and never any punishment, physical harm or yelling. Currently I have open availability as I’m Working as a caregiver to a senior friend. I take all request/rules very seriously when responsible for others’ pets. I am able to travel up to about 5 miles via the CTA and if I have my car, I’m able to drive. I currently have open availability and I like to say I work 11-11, but can take on earlier clients as needed. I am usually running a little late, but I will try to be more punctual! My pets always have fresh water in a clean bowl, and clean food bowls typically fed twice a day with treats throughout. I learned that pets do better eating when you eat, so I’ve taken on that habit.

About: I had a dog for nearly 14 years (RIP little Jockamo) and grew up with several dogs around the house. I pay attention to behaviors and how dogs try to communicate with us. I’m very patient and if you need some assistance with training, I’m willing to help out! Or if you just want someone to keep your dog company, play a bit, and go for a walk, I can do that too. If your dog will be hanging out at my home, we have a small fenced yard, so they can have some off-leash outdoor time! I do require a meet & greet prior. No last min requests please, unless I’ve previously watched your pup. I also have experience with cats and can help out with pop-in visits, but unfortunately I am not able to host cats in our home. I work from home and have a fairly flexible schedule, so being sure the dogs get enough attention and outdoor time is not a problem at all! I’m a bit of a hover mom when it comes to pets. Haha I always like to know where they are and what they’re doing to be sure they’re not getting into anything that could be harmful.
