About: I love dogs and have been working with them for 11 years. I have been dog sitting for about 15 years and love caring for other animals while their family is away. I am a stay at home mom so I prefer to dog sit in my own home I work at an animal hospital in Wheaton, IL and I used to work at a doggie daycare so I know all about dog behavior and how to handle/control them. I also have a certificate in Dog CPR and a certificate for Veterinary Assistant work. I am comfortable with all breeds and dogs of all sizes. I dog sit frequently for a family with 3 dogs and 2 cats! I am home a lot and have a very flexible schedule. If you want a trustworthy dog sitter/walker who loves working with animals, you found her! I am a stay at home mom so my schedule is pretty flexible!! I can do dog walks throughout the day and I can dog sit in my own home since I am home with my kids all day! About: I live in Edison Park, but work in McCook/Chicago during the day/week or sometimes from home. I manage my time really well, so I can make anything early in the morning,/on my lunch break work- plus weekends or after work. I have always had dogs my entire life. I grew up with a chocolate lab mix, then when she passed away my family got a three legged black lab and a chesapeake bay retriever. Then, when I was in college, a chocolate lab climbed into my car and after months of trying to find his owners, I decided to keep him. Those puppies have since passed, but our family has 2 giant black labs currently. I’ve also had 4 Guinea Pigs who I loved dearly. I currently work from home part of the time and love four legged angels (sometimes 3, I had a 3 legged dog growing up). I am available in the early mornings, evenings and on the weekends consistently, but can work out weekday daytime availability with advanced notice. I make sure the animals all have the appropriate food/water setups at all times (per owners instructions depending on pet’s specific needs), as well as making sure the temperature is comfortable for the pet. I prioritize exercise and bathroom breaks for each pet. There is never a lack of social interaction when I am around. Pretty much, I view pets as family and think they deserve the best. If they have specific requirements, I will always follow whatever rules the owner requests and talk through any concerns before booking.

About: Hello! I love ALL animals & can't imagine life without them. I'm the go to pet sitter for friends & neighbors, & I have 2 cats & a pitty myself. My dog walking journey started here on Wag! in 2017 but I’ve worked with dogs & cats while fostering & volunteering at shelters before that. I also gained an insane amount of knowledge while I worked at a dog daycare/hotel for years where I eventually was promoted to a supervisor. I’m experienced with dogs of all ages, sizes, temperaments & quirks. Body language & reading animals easily is a humble gift of mine. I of course want you to find someone who’s the perfect fit, so even if you’re still exploring options plz reach out with any questions☺️ I have experience with both cats and dogs of all ages, breeds and temperaments. I became a supervisor at the doggy daycare so I have experience with medication administration. I am dog CPR certified & experienced with emergancy situations. But above all, I love all animals & love that caring for them gets to be my job! As far as pricing, please feel free to message me! I wish Rover aloud more specification for prices but my Rover prices all vary based on your needs. I am flexible! If you want a 20 min walk instead of a drop in visit, that’s okay with me! My prices all go based on time. So if you only need me to stop over x2 a day for a sitting, it would cost less. For walks, it also depends how many dogs. I can be a good fit if you need a last minute walk! I am currently accepting walks on breaks on my remote days and after work/weekends. If you’re looking for a reliable & trustworthy person to take care of your pets last minute, while you are out on the town, while you go meet up with family, stuck in traffic etc., feel free to message me! I always am focused on safety and security. I make sure keys are safe, that pets aren’t let out without checking all leashes and harnesses, & always make sure all doors are secure when coming in & out. If any of your pets have any allergies I need to be aware of, let me know. Regardless, I will never feed your pets anything without asking you first. Thank you so much for inquiring about my services! Even if you’re not certain you want to book with me yet, you are more then welcome to reach out with any questions. I of course want to be the perfect fit for you & your babies!

About: I understand how difficult leaving your pet with someone else can be! They are, after all part of our family! I’ve had pets all my life, from goldfish to parakeets, guinea pigs to bunnies, cats and of dogs from big to small, and special needs rescues. I have experience in dog walking, overnight stays, administering medications, seniors, and special needs pets. I can assure you that I will not only complete any and all tasks you request of me, I will also do them with love, patience, and above all, safety. My goal is to make sure your pet feels as comfortable, safe, and loved as my own! I will pay close attention to your instructions and keep your pet on its routine to ensure as little stress as possible while you are away. I am big on communicating, sending pictures and videos, and making sure YOU are as stress free as I intend your pets to be! 😌 I am also highly aware of how worrisome leaving the care of your home to someone is and can assure you I am respectful in each and every home I stay in, keeping it tidy and cared for as per your instructions. Besides adoring animals, I am passionate about my family, the outdoors, music and working on growing my other businesses. I was the owner of a small mani/pedi business and boutique in downtown Hinsdale, IL for 25 yrs.during which time I also studied and offered foot reflexology. It was also during this time that I first started caring for clients pets and homes while they traveled. Unfortunately due to health issues and the onset of Co-Vid, I was forced to close my shop. I do however continue foot reflexology massage for die hard clients in their homes today! My love for creativity also lives on in a hobby turned hopeful business of painting small pieces of furniture. A particular niche of end tables turned into pet beds is becoming my new favorite 🤩. I would love to schedule a meet and greet with you and your pet! It is an essential part of the process for first time clients, as forming a bond with your pet and establishing a good fit for everyone is a top priority! I currently work part-time both from home and out of clients homes as described above, and have flexible hours. Traveling more than 8 miles from my home base of Villa Park for dog walks and drop ins are a bit more tricky, but overnights are not a problem for a distance up to 15 miles. While I currently am not able to board animals at my home, a good portion of my business is caring for them in yours. They are treated with patience and compassion, and receive all the love and attention that I give my own with safety being my number one concern. I will look after your home and be happy to help out with any extra needs you may have (water plants, check mail, take out garbage, etc.)

Elizabeth continues to be a very reliable and loving dog sitter, whom our dog adores! She not only walks Lily, but she plays with her on days that aren’t nice (their favorite game is soccer!) and takes the time to make sure she’s happy and cared for during each visit. Elizabeth watches our dog weekly, and we couldn’t be happier with her communication and the extra care she consistently puts in.

  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
