Experienced Cat & Dog Lover 🐾
Hi! I’m Saskia - you can call me Sass! I am a loving, active, and experienced pet sitter with 18+ years caring for both cats and dogs. I treat every pet like family and focus on making them feel safe, calm, and happy while you’re away. Originally from Germany and now living in Alabama, animals have always been a huge part of my life. I currently have four cats and a pitbull, and in the past I’ve cared for a British collie and many different dog personalities through pet sitting. Because of this, I’m very comfortable reading body language, understanding individual needs, and creating a relaxed environment for pets of all temperaments. I live a very active lifestyle as a certified fitness trainer, which makes me a great match for energetic dogs who enjoy structured walks and engagement. At the same time, I’m calm, patient, and gentle - especially with shy pets or animals who need time to warm up. Communication is very important to me, so I always provide updates and photos so you feel connected and reassured while you’re away. My goal is simple: your pet feels safe, loved, and understood, and you get to enjoy a worry free time out of town knowing your baby is in good hands!

I have a 3 bedroom apartment located in a very quiet area with a very nice dog park nearby. My super sweet rescue pitbull named Blue would love to keep your Puppy distracted!

I've only ever had family members check in on my best cat buddy, Vinny, and I was apprehensive hiring a sitter for my 4 day vacation. I have to say Saskia was amazing and was able to get my shy cat to warm up to her within just a day or two. Saskia sent me plenty of pictures and her report card on her visits were thorough and put my mind at ease. She was on time at every single visit (and for our pre-interview), and she was very responsive and communicative, which I love. Vinny, my 10 year old domestic short hair became comfortable with Sas and allowed her to brush him and give scratches. He doesn't warm up to just anyone, so that says a lot. I will 100% book with Saskia going forward, and I'll recommend her to anyone who asks. 😻😊
Sass did an excellent job taking care of our 2 cats! She was able to get 3 meds into our cat with her creative food mixtures! We recommend her highly and will use her again!
Excellent communication and great care during our drop-in visits. Very reliable and easy to work with. Would definitely use again!
Saskia was absolutely phenomenal caring for our dog and two cats while we were away. She kept us updated throughout our trip with messages and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear from the start that she genuinely cared for our pets and treated them as if they were her own. When we returned home, our pets were happy, well cared for, and our house was left in pristine condition. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend Saskia to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable pet sitter. We will definitely be using her again!
Sasha was prompt in coming to my house to play with my sweet pups. She did a great job and we will use her again next time!
We had a good experience with Saskia! From the very beginning, communication was clear, prompt, and reassuring. She took sgreat care of Tucker and Jake, and it was obvious our dogs felt comfortable and happy with her.
