Hi! I’m Samantha. I moved to Chicago in late 2018 and spent my first year here walking dogs for three different companies, while also building up a group of regular clients through Rover. In early 2019, I started walking a sweet, three-legged Black Lab named Bo and eventually began boarding him several weeks each month while his dad traveled for work. Sadly, we lost Bo in April 2021, and his passing left a big hole in my heart. Not long after, I began fostering a three-legged pittie named Abby and ended up adopting her in July 2021. When I first adopted her, my only request at the shelter was that she get along with other dogs. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case as she had a very traumatic history, so I no longer offer boarding. However, I’m still happily available for walks, drop-ins, and occasional in house stays! I can work with all different ages, handle senior care, and have helped with puppy training.

Safety, trust & environment
Every family I have worked with has been different depending on their needs. I am experienced in crate training, free roaming, or setting up boundaries to help keep animals safe. I also am familiar with all different collar/leash/harness types and feel comfortable navigating with and around dog reactive animals.

Samantha was an absolutely phenomenal sitter for my baby girl! I loved her many updates and photos, and knew Annie was very well cared for. Annie has asked for Samantha to return in the future!
Samantha was great! Really responsive and made me feel at ease leaving my pup for the weekend. I loved getting pictures and updates from her and would be happy to have her watch Finn in the future!
Samantha is amazing! She took great care of our pups and they got lots of walks. We got the perfect amount of updates / pictures. Our house was perfectly clean when we came home - she even washed the sheets and took out the trash! We would definitely have her back!
Samantha took such great care of our pup and cat while we were away for a long weekend! She was so communicative, thoughtful, and able to accommodate our last minute request. Highly recommend her services.

Schedule
I work in higher ed but have a very flexible schedule. My boss is aware that I pet sit on the side and allows me to work remotely when needed.

- I would love to know more about your dogs behavior and if they are reactive to anything specific I should be aware of - like I mentioned, my dog has a really traumatic past, and she doesn’t do well with most loud noises, other animals or anything that “looks” frightening. All that to say, nothing I can’t handle!
