About: I have had boxers my whole entire life and have recently moved away from home. I miss them dearly and would love to share the care and attention I have with your dog. I have had experience training, walking, feeding, and taking care of elderly dogs to puppies & and all the ages in between. I currently only work at night so I have plenty of time during the day to add hanging out with your dog to my routine! I currently live in a safe walkable area with plenty of paths- perfect for dog walking. I have reliable transportation to all over the Charleston area to take care of your dog!
“Skylar was so sweet with Bronzie! She stayed overtime because he was cuddling on the couch with her. I feel so good knowing my baby is taken care of while I’m gone. I loved the pictures she took and she even located his favorite toy to play with. Her communication was quick and thorough. I will absolutely be using her services again. Bronzie insists!”

“Kelsey D. cared for my five cats while I was out of town for 3 weeks. She did a great job and made friends with them all even the young ones who are generally the first to hide from someone they don't know. She sent me daily updates and pictures. They all greeted me at the door the day I came home--healthy and happy!! I would recommend Kelsey as a pet sitter and hope to bring her back when I travel in the future. She even watered my plants!”

“I had to book super last minute for someone to come by and let my dog out, and Rehanna was so quick to respond!! She kept me updated before she went over, while she was there, and after she left, and let me know that she was free for future visits too. I really appreciated how quick and responsive she was, and how excited she seemed to help me and my pup out!! Thank you so much Rehannah!”

“Ally was amazing! She was so thoughtful and thorough with our old dog Boone. Her messages and photos each walk assured us he was getting the best care. I would 100% recommend her to be your pet sitter and we will absolutely hire her again!”

“Katie was outstanding from start to finish. She was incredibly communicative throughout our entire trip, sending updates that put our minds completely at ease. She went above and beyond in every way — she proactively asked if she could take care of the litter boxes without us even having to request it, played with our cats regularly, and was on top of defrosting their food at exactly the right times. It's rare to find someone this thoughtful and reliable. We came home to two happy, well cared for kitties and a spotless setup. Cannot recommend Katie enough — she will absolutely be our go-to sitter going forward. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

About: I’ve had family dogs almost my entire life. When my latest girl, Jaina, passed after 14 years together, I shifted to pet sitting rather than full-time ownership. My friends, neighbors and roommates can always rely on me to watch their pups whenever they have work or travel plans! I currently live with a beautiful Doberman and am his primary care giver when my roommate travels for business. Our favorite activity is an adventure to Folly Beach where we walk, look at the ocean, and visit the dog friendly restaurants for his doggie-menu treats & pup cups. I’m also a Gold Star Rated Uber Driver that allows riders to bring their animals with them on trips. I attend church in downtown Charleston every Sunday so my Sundays are reserved for me. For extended (week+), I am willing to have a discussion to fulfill needs on that day. I also work as a freelance/contract bartender. While I have no set schedule, days that I accept those gigs will likely result in an 8-10 hours stretch where I would be away from sitting. Give me a shout and I look forward to meeting you and your pups! I work part time as a bartender and with special events but on a contract/freelance basis. I’m also a Gold Star Rated Uber driver with an active setting that allows riders to travel with their animals. I attend church on Sundays so I tend to leave that day free for myself. I make my own schedule which allows for a lot of flexibility. I care for my roommate’s Doberman when he travels for business. We go on walks, to the park, the beach and play in the backyard. I give him his meds twice a day. His water is in a fountain bowl and his food dispenser on a timer. I refill as needed. He is an Alpha so I won’t be offering to watch other animals in my home. But I look forward to traveling to you!
About: Pet care experience: I’ve been obsessed with dogs my whole life. Big, small, fluffy, chaotic, you name it. I’ve walked, wrangled, and loved every breed imaginable. I work from home full time so I’m basically already on dog-parent hours. My two chihuahuas keep me humble and they’d love the company. Your dog is in good hands I work remotely so I’m home all day with a genuinely flexible schedule. No rushing, no “sorry running late” texts. I can do morning, midday, or afternoon walks depending on what works best for your dog. Consistent and reliable, and I actually like going outside and tend to walk 5-8 miles a day Your dog’s safety is my top priority. I stay aware of surroundings, keep walks structured, and know how to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments. My two chihuahuas have taught me more patience than I ever expected. Your dog will be treated like family.

About: Hi! I’m Natalia! I’m a very active person and a huge dog lover. I love going on walks, being outside, and spending time with dogs. I’m responsible, easygoing, and would love to help take care of your pup while you’re away! I work as a nurse three days a week, and my roommate also works, but I’m happy to plan ahead and make sure I’m available and able to give your pup the attention and care they need while pet sitting! I’ll make sure your pet has plenty of company and attention while they’re in my care. Depending on their energy level, we can go on lots of walks and stay active, or we can relax and hang out together. I’m also happy to follow any medication schedules or special care instructions your pet may have.

“Reagan did a great job. She helped care for my very geriatric cat and her particular needs. She kept her thriving for the 1.5 weeks I was away. Would re-hire and would recommend.”

About: Hi my new friend! I have taken care of pets since I was a teenager. From having multiple cats of my own, to caring for loved ones dogs, cats, and rabbits, I can easily and enjoy walking, playing, and taking care of animals. I run my own business, and am a Pilates instructor on the side. I have plenty of flexibility in my week to care for my pets when said pets need me most! I can easily ensure your pet is safe both in home home and on the go! I am comfortable crating, gearing up, and ensuring the fence stays shut 🤪
About: I’ve taken care of dogs in a kennel doing feeding, walking, and playtime duties. I have also dog-sat and done drop ins for about a year for various dog-owners. I am currently a full time student, leaving a fair amount of room to dedicate to your pets. Available Mondays and Wednesdays after 3pm, Tuesdays after 4:30pm, and Thursdays anytime before 2:30pm and after 4:30pm. With additional flexibility in between classes (further discussion needed). I have a fenced in yard with two sweet babies, but know how to crate dogs as well. I am willing to walk and play with your pet along with insuring your pets safety and comfortability.

About: I’m not a professional trainer, but I’ve watched dogs of all sizes and take outside time and potty breaks seriously — your dog won’t be left waiting. I’m good at reading dog body language and careful not to put them in situations that could escalate, whether that’s around other dogs or unfamiliar people. I’m also patient with puppies and comfortable with their extra energy and training needs. Your dog will get consistent care and my full attention. I’m currently pursuing a meal prep hustle, which means I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time at home, perfect for attentive, consistent pet care. I’m not tied to a 9-5, so I can accommodate midday potty breaks, longer visits, or last-minute needs without any scheduling conflicts. Your pet gets someone who’s actually around and available, not squeezing in visits between meetings. I live in a house downtown with an unfenced yard, so for dog walks and potty breaks I’m always right there with them on leash to keep them safe. My own cat is very friendly and comfortable around dogs. If I’m caring for other cats, I prefer to house sit at the client’s home so there’s no risk of conflict or stress for either cat. Whatever the service, your pet gets a safe, calm environment and my full attention.
About: I have spent a lot of time house sitting and pet sitting for both cat and dog families! I love to go on long walks, and take my poodle at home, Remi, on 2 mile walks when I can. I love walking dogs because you have a companion, and no one wants to walk alone! I also have experience in enrichment for dogs, playing in back yards can be so important for hyper pups! I am currently a senior at the College of Charleston looking for a light and positive activity while applying to law school and finishing out undergrad! My schedule during the week is flexible, with time mostly on Tuesday/Thursday mornings/mid mornings and afternoons! I love to go on walks in Charleston and incorporate that into my daily life. I do not care for pets in my home because I am living in a college house. When I am in someone's home, I typically feed/change litter boxes and clean out the bowls when done as well as refreshing water.
About: I have always had multiple dogs in my household since I was little, so caring for them is second nature to me!! I love dogs of all kind and will always give my full attention and care. Over the past year, I have fostered several dogs and am familiar with many different breeds, temperaments, and needs! I am currently a student at the College of Charleston, and outside of going to class, my schedule is very flexible! I don’t have another job, so caring for your pups is something I prioritize in my daily routine! I am comfortable with caring for pets inside and outside of my home and will always cater to all your dogs potential needs! I take my time to build trust and love between each pup while maintaining a calm environment!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Charleston
We had a bit of an unusual Rover request, and Lee was absolutely wonderful! We’re working with a trainer to help our shy dog, Bonzo, feel more comfortable with new people, and we needed someone he had never met to come over so we could practice having a “stranger” in the house. Lee was so kind, patient, and completely willing to follow our trainer’s instructions and go at Bonzo’s pace. They made the whole experience incredibly easy and were so sweet with him. We’re very grateful they were willing to help us out and would absolutely recommend them!

Lauren was incredible!! She left such a thorough update about my girl and made time to walk her but also hang out. She made sure to tell how Masie was when she got there and how she seemed when she left, and just out my mind at ease about how my girl was doing while I was at work. I really really appreciated her and her flexibility and thoroughness!

I had to book super last minute for someone to come by and let my dog out, and Rehanna was so quick to respond!! She kept me updated before she went over, while she was there, and after she left, and let me know that she was free for future visits too. I really appreciated how quick and responsive she was, and how excited she seemed to help me and my pup out!! Thank you so much Rehannah!

Brynn did an absolutely amazing job taking care of my dog, Stevie, while I was on vacation. She made sure Stevie got outside on time, took her on plenty of walks, and gave her lots of love and attention while I was away. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing Stevie was in such caring and capable hands. Brynn was always punctual, incredibly dependable, and communicated with me throughout the entire trip. She kept me updated, responded quickly to messages, and made it easy to relax knowing everything was going well at home. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the pets she looks after, and Stevie absolutely adored her. I couldn’t recommend Brynn more highly. If you’re looking for someone who is trustworthy, reliable, communicative, and truly treats your pet like family, Brynn is the person to call!

Emma did an amazing job caring for our dog, Fable, while we were away. She followed every instruction, sent updates after each visit, and included lots of photos so we always knew how Fable was doing. We came home to a very happy girl, and we’d happily book with Emma again and recommend her to others!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
