About: I’ve helped take care of dogs since I was 10. I helped train our Bernese Mountain Dog puppy at a young age, and played a great role in taking care of her for the next six years. I’ve dog sat and dog walked friends and families dogs plenty of times over the past few years. Some of these dogs were beagles, labradors, retrievers, and collies. I’m currently an undergraduate student, I only have two or three classes a day and then I’m available for the rest of the day! When I’m on school breaks, I work a part time job, giving me a lot of free time to watch your fur baby. My house has a fenced in yard making it easy to take out your pet. I have no other pets currently, ensuring you a safe environment if they’re at my home. I can easily put your pet in a crate if needed, and I’m very attentive!
“Ally was amazing! She was so thoughtful and thorough with our old dog Boone. Her messages and photos each walk assured us he was getting the best care. I would 100% recommend her to be your pet sitter and we will absolutely hire her again!”

About: I’ve taking care of many animals growing up from my own dogs and cats to farm sitting my freshman year of college. I’ve grown up with animals in the house so I learned the responsibilities of taking care of animals fast. I also pet sit along with babysitting while in high school. My freshman year of college I farm sat for a family close to my campus with animals such as dogs, cats, pigs, chickens, geese, rabbits, and goats, so my experience with animals is quite broad. Along with that the past few months I’ve been fostering dogs. I’ve worked with dogs after surgery, energetic puppies and very anxious dogs. I currently work in downtown Charleston and on Mount Pleasant so I can typically be available for overnight stays and drop ins around breakfast, lunch and dinner. I enjoy walking frequently around the Charleston Battery when I can and would love to have a furry friend join me. If the dogs come with me, I live in an apartment but enjoy going on walks around the city and near the parks and waterfronts. If I was to take care of the animal in your home I am up for a long walk and do what is needed to make your animal and you comfortable.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Charleston
Emma did an amazing job caring for our dog, Fable, while we were away. She followed every instruction, sent updates after each visit, and included lots of photos so we always knew how Fable was doing. We came home to a very happy girl, and we’d happily book with Emma again and recommend her to others!

Emma watched Ava for two weeks while we were out of the country. I am so happy we had her as our sitter!! She was extremely reliable and timely and I could tell truly has a passion for animals. She is so sweet and took great care of our girl - and I would rebook her again in a heartbeat!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
