About: Hi! I'm Kernix — a military spouse, dog lover, and proud chocolate Lab mom to Josie! I know how important it is to find a safe, loving, and stress-free place for your pup while you're away. My goal is to provide a true "home away from home" experience with lots of attention, structure, and affection. I grew up around animals and have always loved caring for them. Growing up, we had pugs, chihuahuas, bunnies, and hamsters, so caring for pets has always been a natural part of my life. We moved to South Carolina in October 2025 after previously being stationed in Washington. My husband is originally from Myrtle Beach, SC, and we've loved settling into the Summerville community and making it feel like home. 1 Family at a Time for Boarding: I only accept one client family at a time for overnight boarding, so your pup will receive personalized care without the stress of a crowded boarding environment. About Our Home & Routine: We live in a quiet, dog-friendly neighborhood with a fully fenced backyard where pups can safely play, sniff, and explore. Dogs enjoy regular potty breaks, supervised playtime, enrichment activities, belly rubs, and lots of companionship throughout the day. I also closely follow feeding routines and medication schedules when needed. Meet Josie: We also have our sweet chocolate Lab,Josie! She is extremely friendly and social and has done wonderfully with every person, dog, and cat she has met so far. Josie enjoys meeting friendly dogs and would love a playmate during your pup's stay. Meet & Greets & Communication: I highly encourage meet & greets before boarding, especially for first-time stays. I want both you and your pup to feel comfortable and confident before booking. Communication is very important to me, and I always do my best to stay flexible with drop-off and pick-up times whenever possible. Boarding & Doggy daycare: Doggy day care pickup is by 5 PM. If pickup is needed after 5 PM, please book boarding instead so I can properly accommodate your pup's evening and overnight care routine. Boarding Requirements: To help keep everyone safe and comfortable, I currently only accept: • Dogs that are reasonably potty trained • Friendly dogs that do well around people and other dogs • Dogs that are up to date on vaccinations and flea/tick prevention Because I provide care in my personal home, I may not be the best fit for dogs with severe separation anxiety, destructive behaviors, or frequent indoor accidents.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve spent over 8 years caring for dogs for friends, family, and neighbors, and I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. As a Great Dane owner, I’m comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and energy levels. I provide patient, attentive care tailored to each pet’s routine and personality, and I make sure owners stay updated with photos and messages throughout every visit! I have a flexible schedule and make pet care a priority. I carefully plan my days to ensure every pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, potty breaks, playtime, and affection while they’re in my care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’ll follow your pet’s routine, feeding schedule, medication instructions, and any special requests exactly as provided. I treat every pet with patience, love, and respect, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident while you’re away.

About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life. I also have my own fun baby, her names is Maple. She has problem with your affections and sensitive skin. So I can clean ears and can apply medicine. I currently have an part-time a job, I will sit and play with your for babies for as long as I can, as often as I can. Even though my fur baby would love it if I was with her twenty 24/7. But I know she loves have her treats more. I let the Fur babies decide what they want. If they want me to sit on the couch and pet them for an hour, I'll indulge them if they have no interest in me being around. I'll leave the room and let them have their space.
“Ella did an amazing job with Fitzgerald and George Michael! She was on top of giving GM his daily inhaler and his rescue inhaler if he needed it. Every day she would provide a quick update with pictures of the boys and let me know if they had caused any trouble. I would highly recommend her to any of my friends and would definitely have her watch the boys again.”

“We couldn't be happier with Bridgette! From the start, she was warm, friendly, and incredibly responsive, always quick to communicate and give us peace of mind while we were away. What really set her apart was when she went out of her way to stop by our home outside of her scheduled visits to check on something for us. That kind of dedication is truly above and beyond what we expected. Most importantly, our dogs absolutely adored her. Animals don't lie, and the way our girls immediately took to Bridgette told us everything we needed to know. We'll definitely be booking with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring pet sitter!”

“Mary Kay was wonderful with my service dog Sunshine and his many “rules.” She was personable and kind, and he took to her instantly. I will definitely be having her back with Sunshine soon!”

“ZaNayah has been awesome! Our two cats have some quirks and she's been taking amazing care of them. The pictures she sends are the best, they make our day while we can't be there to see the cats' shenanigans ourselves. There was never any doubt in my mind that our babies are in great hands.”

About: I have cared for family and friends pets for my entire life and cared for my own by myself for over 2 years. I have experience in the veterinary field so I am confident in my ability to care for medically complex animals. I work full time currently in Mount Pleasant, however; my hours are flexible and I have the ability to take care of your animals at your home during my off hours. I currently have two cats in my apartment, they are fed wet food in the morning and night and given the correct medications and supplements needed morning and night. I also support their enrichment needs by daily playtime and providing toys and treats.
About: I've taken care of dogs since I was little. We've always had at least 1. I'm also a wildlife rehabber and have worked at a doggy day care before so I'm comfortable giving medicine or taking care of wounds if need be. I'm working part-time at the moment and would love to fill up my free time taking care of your animals. I'm available mostly middle of the week but can do in house check ins or dog walks in mornings and evenings on weekends. I have a fenced in back yard and 2 dogs for them to play with and run! I can also offer inside animal sitting with or without a crate. I'm also willing to travel to do in home check ins, feedings, walking, playing.
About: My family has had cats, dogs, rabbits, and horses for almost my entire life. I have grown up around pets and have tremendous love for all of them. I have taken my Australian Shepherd to puppy school and learned from a professional how to handle him, and we have owned various breeds of dogs and cats. My mom and I captured, neutered, and re-homed feral cats that had wandered into our old property. Now, I own one of those (not-so-feral-anymore) cats, Jade, and a foster fail, Gia, along with my dog Ozzie. I have been riding and showing horses since I was 9 years old and have a lot of experience in taking care of large animals. I was a D1 equestrian athlete at UGA, and I'm now a veterinary assistant for Banfield! I have some extra days off and I would love to spend that time getting to meet and take care of your furbabies! I am a full-time veterinary assistant at Banfield, so my schedule is very irregular. I get my schedule a month in advance, but it will not always be the same. I will make sure that my availability is reflected in Rover as far out as possible so that I can take care of you and your pet! My dog and cats roam my apartment freely throughout the day, and they all sleep with me on the bed at night. We play with my Australian Shepherds 4-5 times a day, with his favorite game, frisbee! In a clients home, I am open to caring for their pet anyway they would like, whether they need them to be in a crate, go for a walk, or to play ball!

“I needed some help getting my 80 pound dog into the car so I could take her for a checkup after knee surgery. Jonathan worked with our schedule and made sure our senior puppo could make it to her vet appt. Thanks again Jonathan!”

“Brittney was very attentive and went above and beyond with her care for our dogs! She even spent time training our puppy! I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking to book a rover!”

About: Caring for animals has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I’ve been a pet sitter and dog walker for a long time now and it’s something that I really enjoy doing. I am also currently in school to become a licensed veterinary technician and have been working in the veterinary medicine field for two years now. When I watch your fur-babies they get the same love and care as if they were my own. I love all shapes, sizes, and breeds of dogs. I can administer oral and injectable medications, cuddle your dog through storms, and give them lots of play time! I work well in emergency situations and have a car I could transport your pet in if an emergency were to come up. I spend every second I have with your pets when I’m with them. And after every house sitting I make sure the house is in tip top shape when you come back. I also give daily updates and send pictures of your fur babies. I hope you will consider me to take care of your babies. I currently work at a vet clinic on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and occasionally some Saturdays. Because of this I am able to bring your babies to work with me and take them out for potty breaks during my shift and spend my lunch breaks with them. On my days off which are Sunday, Wednesday, and most Saturdays I am home with my own dog. When I housesit for you my dog stays with my parents so I can focus on your baby and know mine is all taken care of. When your fur babies are at my house, I have a large fenced in yard for them to run around in. Both of my dogs are crate trained but roam around the house for most of the day. We don’t allow pets on the furniture but I do let them sleep in my bed if that’s what they are used to. I have been working in the veterinary field for 2 years now. I am able to administer oral and injectable medications and am able to quickly identify when something is abnormal with your pet and I can react quickly with what I need to do. Working at a vet clinic I have access to vet care easily if something does go wrong with your baby.
“Natalie was wonderful with my cats! She kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me peace of mind. I would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter”

Josh was amazing. He exceeded our expectations and made going away so much easier and less stressful. We knew after our meet & greet with Josh that our pets were in good hands. I can't say enough good things about Josh. I highly recommend him and can't wait to hire him again.
Alyssa was great - as always. She comes about every two months for 4-5 days - and my new (growing) kittens really love her. I appreciate that she sits with them for some time after she takes care of their food, water and litter box. They totally love her - and waller all over her! 🥰

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
