About: I have never gone a day without owning a dog. Iv taken care of puppies all the way through to senior dogs. Some training knowledge. I work full time in downtown Charleston. M-F 8:30-5. Early mornings, evenings and weekends and always available. I can also work with my employer for any special times I treat all animals with ample care. I am able to distribute medicine and keep careful watch. They are my top priority when they are in my care

“Mary Anne is absolutely wonderful! She is very thoughtful and takes very good notes on how to care for your pet. She did a few drop-in visits with Karl, our Hermann's Tortoise, and was communicative and sweet. We'll definitely re-book her next time we're in need of a sitter.”

“Took special care of our pup and went above and beyond to give medication and help keep the same routine as we battle Westie allergies ! Would absolutely recommend”

About: I’ve had dogs in my family my whole life, puppy-sat others pets, lived with the most adorable cats and now I have two weenie dogs of my own! My pups are the most important part of my life and trusting someone else with them can be nerve wracking so I love sending tons of pics/updates to keep parents at ease. I work Monday through Friday 8-5 but I could do drop in visits before and after work, sometimes even during lunch depending on the location! Depending on what you’re looking for I can stop by to spend some time with them in your yard or take them on a walk around the neighborhood! Feel free to reach out and I’m happy to answer any specific questions!
“Emily was great. My cat can be timid and take awhile to warm up to strangers and Emily was extremely patient with her and ended up getting her to come out to play. We came home to a happy, healthy cat. She kept me updated and was very easy to keep in contact with. Will definitely use her again and would recommend!”

“Molly was wonderful!! She was very patient with my fluff-beasts’ revenge gifts next to the litter box, and the cats were relaxed and happy when we got home. Molly even left us a sweet card congratulating us since she was watching the cats while we were out of town for our wedding. We’ll definitely be working with her again!”

“Sam is dependable and takes good pictures of my dog when she visits him. It is nice to see cute pics of my dog when I am at work. I know my dog likes to have his buddy Sam visit.”

About: Ever since I can remember, I have had a dog in my life, usually multiples. Growing up in the country, my family always took in strays which we took in or helped relocate to the perfect home. Currently, I am a puppy mom to one amazing girl, Bourdain. She is sweetest pup and I am a lucky lady to have her! I am currently working from home and would love to spend time helping you by giving your fur babies a little TLC while you are doing what you need to do! My schedule is very flexible and am available to pop in as needed. I also have a 10 year old son who if available loves to give love and help out too! I am active and can provide exercise for your dog with walks around your neighborhood. My schedule is flexible (Realtor with a in home office) and I can easily help care for your fur baby. I work from home with any other appointments noted and will communicate any conflicts as needed. I’m all ears on your specifications for your pet. I want to have all the details so that I can provide the best care while you’re not there.
“Jai is the best!! Even my shy cat who doesn't trust people likes hanging out with her. She is totally concerned about the animals' well-being while you are gone and is always communicating about what they are up to. We will book Jai again!”
“Christine is incredible!!! My doggo is a little skittish about meeting new people, and Christine took the time to get to know her and bond with her :) she’s super accommodating and flexible and I look forward to having her doggie sit mollie again soon!!!”

About: Some think of their dogs as pets, mine have always been part of the family. I grew up as a child with my late black lab, Ebony, who was one of the most fun-loving family dog their was, even into her old age as I cared for her in her senior years. Then came the spitfires...first Sammy, who is my german shepard with big heart and knack for getting into mischief with the neighborhood squirrels, and then came Jax, the black lab/pit bull mix who is either running in circles or snoozing on a chair. Having grown up with multiple breeds and dog personalities, I've learned how to manage and train dog behaviour as well as recognize how important their routines are, especially when their owners are not around! Outside of my own pups, I'm always the first to volunteer when it comes to dog sitting my friend's pitbull, Taz, when she travels for work, keeping strict routines that help him deal with his mom being away. I also volunteer at the Charleston Animal Society and am a trained dog handler who has come across all sorts of weird dog experiences that I've had to learn and adapt to, all while giving them the most love possible! I work an office job from 6-3, giving plenty of time to take your stir crazy pups for a quick walk/potty break before you get back from work! I also have free weekends where I can board/house sit your dogs while you are away. I have a dog park within my apartment complex, however, I love to take walks in new neighborhoods or keep the dogs in a house they are more comfortable in and drop by/stay over for visits!

About: I have been working in animal rescues since I was little! I have worked with dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and tempers. I have ample knowledge on what is needed for each type of animal and would love to help you out with your pets! I am a full time student at MUSC, but have majority of the afternoons and some mornings free! I also have a cat myself, but she is very low maintenance and does not require too much of my time. I make sure each pet is comfortable and happy in their own environment! I know when an animal needs it’s space or when it wants attention. It is very important to be able to read each animal and gauge what they enjoy, and I can definitely provide this!
“Alison was great with our dog while we were gone on vacation. Alison fulfilled all her obligations and provided exceptional care for our dog. We are very pleased with the service that Alison provided.”
About: Growing up we always had a family dog(s) and when I wasn't caring for my own pups, I was helping watch pups of friends and neighbors! I work from home, so your pups will always be attended to! Because of my work from home schedule, I am open to same day appointments. I believe in always having safety precautions to ensure the pups don't get into trouble such as putting away hazards including things on the floor/counters.
About: I’ve been around and taken care of dogs and cats since I was little. Over the span of my life I’ve had 4 dogs of all sizes and love taking them out for walks and spending quality time with them. If you are looking for someone who will take care of your pet and send you a million pictures of them while you’re away I’m your girl! I know how stressful it is to be away from your pet and I would love to provide peace of mind while you are away. I work from home full time Monday - Friday and can work from your home if your pet needs constant supervision or can stop by before or after work, or during lunch if needed. I usually have minimal plans on the weekend and can take your pet on adventures, or hang out with them at home depending on your preference. I will follow all instructions left for me and can be flexible depending on the care you and your pets require. If you’d like picture updates, or for me to take your dogs on long walks rather than just let them out, I can do whatever is asked of me.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - North Charleston
Gracie was so attentive and caring during the time she spent with my dog, Laila. She administered medication, and spent lots of time playing with and giving her loads of attention. I highly recommend her! Professional, responsible and great with detailed communication. 5 stars all around!

Caroline was absolutely amazing with my dog, Molly! She took care of her for a full week while I was away, and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Caroline kept me updated with photos and messages every day, which really put my mind at ease. When I came home, Molly was happy, relaxed, and clearly well-loved. It’s such a relief to know I can trust someone who treats my dog like her own. I highly recommend Caroline to anyone looking for a reliable and loving pet sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
