About: I love all animals even the not so loved ones. I currently have a cat and miss caring for other animals. I have experience with large breed dogs, cats, several snake species (even the spicy ones), tarantulas, rats, rabbits, ducks, and ferrets. I’ve rescued some kittens and puppies as well. I love all animals but I do favor the reptiles! I kept all sorts of snakes such ball pythons, boas, carpet pythons, blood pythons, retics, white lipped pythons, and more! I am a hair stylist and know my schedule weeks in advance. I am always available every day after 7pm and sometimes earlier. I offer late night/last minute services so don’t be afraid to ask! My full time job prevents me from offering morning/lunch time services every day. I will guarantee your pet will get my full undivided attention in the comfort of your home, on walks, or just drop in visits. They will be loved.
“Always 5-star care from Stephani. I will continue to be a repeat customer. She is conscientious, professional, and I always feel that Laila is in the best of hands when Stephani is taking care of her!”

“Mary Anne is absolutely wonderful! She is very thoughtful and takes very good notes on how to care for your pet. She did a few drop-in visits with Karl, our Hermann's Tortoise, and was communicative and sweet. We'll definitely re-book her next time we're in need of a sitter.”

“Madelyn was very punctual for every visit. She weathered the gnarly storm to check up on my sweet Buddy. She also kept me updated on the storm and if it was affecting the area to assure me Buddy was safe. She is very kind and was attentive to mine and my cat’s needs. Thank you Madelyn for an outstanding job! Will definitely book in the future!”

“Can't say enough good things about Averi. Be assured that your pet(s) will be in good hands if she is there. I am a repeat customer and will continue to have her take care of my dog whenever I need someone. My dog can get anxious and typically will not eat regularly when I am gone, but that's not a problem at all when Averi takes care of her. Very reassuring!”

“Connor was so helpful taking care of my cats! He payed special attention to all of the instructions, medications, special prescription food, etc. He gave my cats cuddles & sent photos of them together. I definitely recommend!”

“Rebecca is absolutely amazing! This was my first Rover experience and she made it fantastic! My girl is 15 years old so leaving her was a bit nerve racking, but Rebecca gave me all of the reassurance needed! 100% recommend!”

“Payton took the best care of my babies and she administered medication properly to our older cat. She was very communicative and thoughtful, and ensured that we got to see our girls every day.”

Stefani is the best!! We have had Stefani care for our cat multiple times, including right after a dental cleaning when he wasn’t quite back to himself. I would have had to cancel my trip if it wasn’t for Stefani, and I always check her availability before making any travel plans - if she isn’t available, I would find different dates that work. She is kind, reliable, thoughtful, thorough, knowledgeable, and respectful - and my cat loves her!

Becca did such a good job with Andi! After a bad experience with another sitter, we were super hesitant to book anyone for our trip. Becca went out of her way to make sure we knew when she would be at the apartment and everything that happened while she was there. We came home to a comfortable and happy cat. We can’t wait to book Becca again!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in North Charleston. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
