“Connor was fantastic with my Husky and he tried really hard with my reactive Chihuahua. He followed all my instructions and requests. He was calm and easy to work with. I will be hiring him again.”

“Madelyn was great! She took great care of Bodi and sent me Rover cards with pictures everyday. She was very quick to respond to my texts and I felt at ease knowing my dog was in good hands.”
“Carolynn was great, my boys loved her, she was available last minute after i had hurt my foot and she was able to make the time to take them out for me, will def use her again”

“I booked Nadaia again after a knee injury prevented me from walking my standard poodle who, although he’s now 9 years old, acts as if he’s 2. His energy level is still very high! She stepped in & took over for me. Remy adores her. He’s learned her name *&* what time she comes. Recently I’ve even noticed, when Nadaia brings him home, he comes in but immediately turns back toward her with those big puppy-dog eyes as he watches her all the way down the walk. *That* tells you all you need to know about Nadaia & her care of your dog.”

About: I’ve nanny for years, house sat and dog sat for 10+ years. As a dog owner, I will take care of your puppy as I would mine. I’m in commercial real estate and work downtown. I for the most part create my own schedule. I’m looking to walk in the morning and afternoon Mon- Friday. We love to take our puppy to the beach, walks around the neighborhood, breweries, to get coffee, so much more! He loves playing and meeting new friends.
“Averi is great! I am always appreciative of her quick responses and willingness to take care of my pup even with last minute requests! She has great availability and always does a great job taking care of Romeo!”

About: I’ve taken care of many kinds of dogs ever since I was 14. My neighbors, friends, and roommates have relied on me to take them on walks, feed them, and play with them. At my previous job I trained border collies and as well as some dogs at home. I’m currently full time, but I have a set morning and night schedule that I can easily work around to be able to care for your pets! I am also free to stay overnight as well. While I cannot offer to care for your pets in my home, I can easily care for them at your home by allowing them to see that I am a safe and friendly person. Each pet is differently and so I like to let them decide if they trust me and to read and determine what their behavior means. You know your pets best and I will make sure to adapt to the training you have set in place!
“Definitely will call Rachel again to walk my boys. Wonderful, dependable and trusting. I am thankful to have her nearby to help when I am in a pinch for someone to care for my dogs!”

“Kristina was able to help out with a super last minute request so we were immediately thankful for her! She provided us with a wonderful summary of her visit with our Vegas and plenty of pictures – something we very much appreciate. We will definitely keep her in our network for help when we need it!”

About: Life long dog lover who looks forward to befriending your furry loved one. We live in a townhome with a 1 year old golden retriever, Cheddar, and a fenced in backyard. I work a full time job 100% remote from my home so I have the flexibility to tailor my days to whatever your dog needs. I like for my dog to feel like this is her home too. She has her own spaces throughout the house and knows which areas are hers.

Connor was great with Ellie and Tripp, he was always on time, polite, and easy to communicate with. He took them on happy lunch walks and both dogs clearly enjoyed their time with him. We appreciated the updates and photos he sent. I’ll definitely book him again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
