About: I’ve cared for all breeds, sizes, & ages since I was a kid. I absolutely love caring for animals and understand the importance of trusting someone to care for your four-legged family members while you’re away. I work full time during the week but am able to board your pets on the weekends! I do have 2 dogs of my own (neutered male golden retriever & spayed female GSD/lab mix) who are very friendly with other dogs. I have a fenced in backyard and I live in a great neighborhood in which I can take your pet on walks. I will be able to care for your pet according to your instructions.
“Love Rebecca!! Our pup loves her and she always send us pictures of their play dates - which we love! Rebecca is a very responsible and enthusiastic pup sitter and she is always our first person to ask when we need someone to check in on our puppy or board!”

“Amazing with my dog, lemon! Lemon is always happy to see her and Monica does a great job of updating me on there adventures and if she’s having any troubles!! She is always on time, super positive, and flexible with her schedule!”

About: I have taken care of dogs of all sizes, I have a very strong passion for animals and am very patient and outgoing, I am available to work full time, and am flexible throughout the day. I love going on walks as well as the park to play fetch, and run around. There will never be a boring day with me. Your pets will be safe and watched at all times. I have been pet sitting for a while and I feel it's important for dogs to have a lot to do so they aren't bored. I want to make sure your pet is in best hands possible. Overall i want to make sure they have as much fun as then can so then when they go home they can have a nice long nap. I work from home so I am available most of the time. I'm very flexible to do any type of visit. Available 7 days a week. If i am at the clients home I am able to be flexible with how they care for their pets. If the pet is crated I can crate. I'm very flexible but also want to make sure pets are safe. I will keep tabs of the pet at all times and make sure they are safe.
About: Iv taken care of dogs & cats for a few years now along side my previous job, I am experienced in senior care and special dietary needs and also with animals who are more energetic and may need more 1-1 time Just recently moved to the area, it’s my first time on the Rover app, I have years of experience with both cats and dogs. If my profile is set to away for sitting then please reach out and I will see if I can help! I currently have my own dog who was rescued a few years ago, my passion is animals and you can be stress free knowing your fur baby will be well looked after!
“Jennifer has done a great job walking my pup, taking pics, and keeping me updated on his potty breaks :) She also has been very easy going as I have requester her last minute a few times. I definitely recommend!”

About: I've owned and loved dogs across the size spectrum from tiny lap dogs to large breeds, so I know firsthand that a Newfoundland and a Papillion (I have had both breeds) need very different kinds of care, energy, and attention. That range of experience means I can adapt to your dog's specific needs, whether that's a long run, a slow walk, or just quiet couch time. I have cared for the pets of my friends and family. I work part-time on weekend nights as a tour guide, which leaves me flexible and available for daytime dog sitting and walking throughout the week, plus overnight house sitting where I stay with your pet in the comfort of their own home. I prefer to care for pets in their own environment, where they're most comfortable. That said, I may be able to host a loveable pet at my pet-friendly apartment, depending on the breed and length of stay. My building has some breed restrictions, so please inquire if you're not sure whether your pet would be a fit.
“This was our second time using Katherine and she did another fantastic job! I felt comfortable knowing she was watching our boy and he obviously loves her! She sent great updates and photos and would definitely use her again!”

About: I grew up with dogs as well as volunteering at my local SPCA shelter. I’m a RN, so my schedule varies week to week. On my days off, I’m looking forward to making sure that your pets needs are met. I’m happy to spend extra walking and play time, and give medications if needed. I’ll make sure to send some adorable pictures and updates throughout the visit. I’d love to care for your pup and give them the best time possible, whether that’s playing fetch or resting in the shade.
About: I have never gone through life without a pet by my side! I love taking care of both cats and dogs and have had multiple of each throughout life. I have experience with both younger and older animals and understand what it takes to take care of each. Pets are a huge part of my family and would love to help out other families with their pets. Currently, I work a full-time job as well as completing a doctorate degree online. I am usually able to stop by early in the morning before work or later in the evening after work. I do work from home Wednesdays and Fridays to where I can stay longer or come by whenever! I can easily adapt to your home and how your pet is acclimated to the environment and can follow instructions regarding crating, how far to go on walks, and what to do/not to do.
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 15 years old. I absolutely love dogs and I have sweet spot for Golden Retreivers since I have one of my own. I love being able to play with dogs and walk them during the day since I work from home. I treat any dog as if they are my own. I will always ensure they are well exercised, cuddled, fed, and most of all loved. I work from home each day so I have a very flexible schedule. I live in an apartment that my golden retreiver loves to play in and we take several walks around the neighborhood to ensure the dogs get the proper exercise that they need. I love to keep dogs active while they are staying at my apartment. From playing fetch, to walks, I always will ensure your dogs are happy and loved.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years, including my own, and I truly treat every pup like family. I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities, and I understand that each dog has unique routines and needs. One of my own dogs has diabetes, so I have hands-on experience with insulin injections, medication schedules, and closely monitoring health and behavior. I know how important consistency, patience, and attention to detail are when it comes to medical care, and I’m confident providing that level of care for other pets as well. Whether it’s walks, playtime, meals, or quiet companionship, I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work from home, which allows me to be present throughout the day for walks, meals, playtime, and companionship. Because of my flexible schedule, I’m able to adjust to each pet’s specific routine and provide consistent attention rather than long periods alone. Whether it’s regular potty breaks, medication timing, or just extra snuggles, I’m able to be attentive and responsive to each pet’s needs. Creating a safe, calm, and loving environment is my top priority. In my home, pets have access to a large, fully fenced backyard for supervised outdoor time and a medium-sized doggie door for easy potty breaks. I have two friendly small dogs who are well-socialized and do great with visiting pets. I also have four teenage children who love dogs and are gentle, respectful, and experienced around them. All interactions are supervised to ensure every pet feels comfortable and secure. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routines closely and respect their space, keeping things consistent so pets feel safe and relaxed. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any specific instructions to provide dependable, trustworthy care
“Briana helped us with our two very active GSP's every day for two weeks! She was easy to work with, reliable, and very responsible with our two furry kids. Briana gave love and exercise to our dogs every day. Would definitely recommend Briana's services to anyone needing dependable pet care!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Johns Island
Jennifer was amazing with our dog! She was incredibly responsive to all of our messages and followed every note we left which gave us so much peace of mind! It was clear she genuinely cared and made sure our dog was well taken care of. We would absolutely book with Jennifer again and highly recommend her!!!

Megan was so great when she walked our two goldendoodles! She was punctual, so friendly, and went above and beyond for their walk. I really appreciated getting photo updates and hearing how they did! I will definitely book her again whenever we need a dog walker or sitter!

Amber was absolutely wonderful with my dog! He always wants to go on walks but can’t always make it the whole way around the block. Amber noticed when he needed a break and lovingly picked him up and carried him until he was ready to walk again. She was so gentle and attentive. She truly went above and beyond. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and thoughtful walker!
I can’t recommend Emily enough! Her communication is excellent! She always keeps me updated and responds promptly. On top of that, she’s very prompt and reliable, which gives me total peace of mind. My pup Lawrence absolutely adores her, and I feel lucky to have found such a trustworthy and kind dog walker.

I recently moved across the country and began a demanding role that requires on-site work--a lot of changes for me, but even more for my beloved dog, Lilly. As soon as I connected with Skyler, I knew we'd met our match! She is an absolute gem and gives Lilly the affection and attention she craves while helping her enjoy some fresh air and exercise. Skyler is a reliable communicator and cares about Lilly, and Lilly is head-over-heels about her, which makes me so happy to see. I am so glad we found Skyler, and I'd highly recommend her!

Arthur is truly a one in a million find! He’s one of those people that truly, deeply, cares for dogs as if they’re not only his pet, but his literal children. He loves and adores them so much! We have a small corgi mix and a large pointer mix, both with their own quirks and daily needs such as medication and food additions. Our large boy Wizy has some PTSD and reactiveness that has made it incredibly difficult for us to find a sitter confident enough to handle his size and quick motions when the moments arise. The moment Arthur walked through the door I saw Wizy’s whole body relax, he truly transmuted his energy and created calm right away in the space with him! It’s not something we see often with him. We’ve now done several walks and a weekend away with the doggies sleeping at Arthur’s, and it’s been a dream, truly. I have trust issues bad and he has put all my worries to rest with incredible communication, photos, and just being the person he is! We’re so lucky to have found Arthur and can’t wait to continue to have him part of our little family. He’s dedicated, punctual, trustworthy, and best of all has a heart of gold! Thanks for caring so much for Sitka and Wizy, they love you!

Carly walked my dog for 3 days over the holiday weekend. She was professional and punctual. She was very attentive to my dog’s needs and health conditions including putting his thundershirt on him when we expected a storm. She is also very knowledgeable about commands and handling reactive dogs. I would hire Carly again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
