About: I’ve been an animal lover my entire life. I have cared for a wide variety of pets with different needs. This includes amputees and FIV cats as well. I work fully remote which allows me the flexibility to house and pet sit pretty much any time and any day of the week! I recently moved back to Charleston and I’m looking to grow my connections! I’ve lived with cats and dogs most of my life, but do not have any pets of my own at this time. I would prefer to let your pet stay at your home where they are most comfortable, and travel as needed, but can accommodate accordingly.
About: I was raised by a cat mom, so I grew up in a house full of cats, so naturally they were my first love. Then one day I met a Great Dane, and became completely obsessed with dogs! I’ve had two rescue Dobermans, a Rottweiler, and now my almost 9-year-old retired racing Greyhound, Frank. Along the way, I’ve also cared for all kinds of dogs, including other Greyhounds, Labs, Poodles, Mini Schnauzers, and Shih Tzus. Basically, I love them all—the big ones, the little ones, the quirky ones and everything in between! Frank has taught me just how different each dog can be. He is the most confident scaredy-cat I’ve ever met, believes the floor is lava, thinks stairs are an absolute no, loves long walks on the beach and a good breeze through his hair, and believes any time is treat time. 😂 He has definitely taught me patience, understanding, and how to pay attention to the little things that make each dog feel comfortable and safe. My goal is for your pet to feel loved, understood, and completely at home while they’re with me. ❤️ I work as an independent hair stylist in the West Ashley area so I have control over my schedule, so for things planned with time I am pretty flexible for what you need. Some of my work days vary from 4-9 hours, if anything is booked last minute but I am happy to schedule out time for your pet instead of taking an extra hair client! My boi sleeps about 20 hours a day and stays in his bed all day long with a few stretches here and there. We walk for 20 minutes, twice a day and get treated before long naps. And any other waking moment includes just hanging out on the floor while we chill. Maybe a 45 second play time after dinner. If your dog needs a chill dog, Frank is the chillest. I'd request that any boarding in my home must be crate trained for any day time work hours, otherwise they can be out as much as they want! They can even sleep in the bed with me and my partner if they prefer! Frank does not walk up the stairs, so he stays in bed downstairs. We do not have a fenced-in backyard, but we do have a beautiful safe-for-dogs neighborhood with tons of grass paths as well as paved paths. We can go for a walk and watch the deer in the woods and the egrets in the canals. It's a great place here! There is a small, always empty fenced-in dog park within walking distance from us if your baby needs its freedom for bathroom time! 😂
About: I have been so lucky to have had so many pets throughout my life, not always mine but that never mattered as they all get extra love and attention. Semi-retired and have time to look after "the kids" who never move out but always listen. I have time to stop in and spend quality time with "the kids" while the parents are out. Rules and routine are key, so if it means sleeping on the bed with me or in their basket, and maybe not allowed on the couch or the fluffies rule the roost - then that is what I stick to. It is their home!

About: I’ve been responsible for pets in my family since I was young. Most recently my own dog of about 8 years needed spine surgery and her post operation care was extensive. I have also on occasion dog and cat sat for friends and family when needed for several years. I work full time, so I do have limited availability. James was phenomenal. Can't say more than enough. Our cat and senior dog were very well cared for. Our cat, is normally mad when I leave even for work and will hide in response but when we arrived home, he happily greeted us. Even funnier, as we settled in for the night, our dog came out lookong for him, and we know exactly where he sat because he went to that spot, sniffed around and settled there as if he was waiting for him to come back. It was very sweet and we were touched and comforted by that display (our dog normally sticks to my son when he's home). We will absolutely ask him to sit again when the need arises. Thank you 1000 times over.

I cannot recommend John highly enough for house and pet sitting. While I was traveling overseas, one of my dogs, Charlie, experienced a serious medical emergency involving multiple seizures. He quickly adapted to Charlie’s changing medical needs, coordinated veterinary care, administered medications as directed, closely monitored his condition, and kept me informed every step of the way. At the same time, John made sure Kimber continued to receive the same level of attention, exercise, and care, ensuring both dogs’ routines were maintained despite the unexpected circumstances. It’s one thing to care for pets during normal circumstances—it’s another to confidently manage a medical crisis with such dedication and composure. John’s reliability, compassion, and genuine concern for my dogs went far beyond my expectations. Knowing he was there allowed me to focus on getting home while trusting that Charlie and Kimber were receiving exceptional care. She is not only super smart, only needs to be told something 1x, instantly makes you feel confident she can handle situation that arises, but is kind and professional, punctual, and a great communicator. We were out of the country for 13 days and it was so helpful having Erik take care of our house and 3 aussies, one of them being a super high energy puppy. The dogs were happy with him and the house was in great shape on our return. He was easy to communicate with and kept us updated with pics and videos. Highly Recommended!
Carolina was great. Very good communication and a real love for animals in general. She made us feel very comfortable and in the know with sending multiple pictures throughout each day of her sitting. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
