About: I’ve always loved animals and enjoy spending time caring for pets of all kinds. I grew up in Ohio where I was active in 4H so I was taking care of animals daily. I’m dependable, patient, and will treat your pet like they’re part of my own family. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, feeding, medication reminders, or just extra attention while you’re away, I’m happy to help. I understand that every pet has a unique personality, so I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry friend is in good hands. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! I work nightshift as a nurse 2 days a week. I have a lot of free time and enjoy being active. My dog gets walked multiple times a day. I have one golden retriever who loves other dogs! We are in a nice quiet area in an apartment. I love to go on walks to head over to the dog park!

Anna is the absolute best!! we have a very quirky dog and she knew exactly how to handle him, exactly how to care for him and treated him like gold! She is incredibly kind, has a great spirit and super positive attitude. We loved having Anna watch Wrigley and will always be our first call when we need a sitter! About: I’ve had dogs and cats since I was born. I currently have a four year old dog of my own, so I know the importance of pet care; from walking, playing, and training. I work from home Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM which allows me the flexibility to fit pet care into my daily routine. I primarily work from the clients’ home, but if work from my home is needed please let me know before hand. The house is already dog proof and there is a dog park within my complex, so this shouldn’t be a problem.

Alyssa watched my Goldendoodle, Roscoe yesterday. She was super communicative, sending me pictures and videos throughout the day. I could tell he was being very well cared for. He is scared of new people and other dogs, and she followed all of my directions on helping him through his big feelings. Thank you so much, Alyssa! I will definitely be using you again!

About: I’ve spent my whole life caring for animals, and nothing makes me happier! I work with horses professionally, and have also raised, fostered, and trained puppies and kittens. We love big dogs, small dogs, many dogs, any dog! I’ve taken dogs on roadtrips across the country, on horseback rides, on boats and kayaks, and countless adventures! My partner and I suddenly find ourselves without a dog of our own, so we would love to welcome yours into our home. We have a safe, comfortable, child-free, single story house with a doggie door onto a screened in porch and a fenced in yard. We live on a cul-de-sac with awesome neighbors and several wonderful pups, so if your dog is social they can make many friends! And if they’re not, our backyard is fenced and private. We’re more than happy to have them on our couches and beds (as long as that’s allowed at home) and we also have a crate if that’s where they feel safe! We are comfortable with puppies, senior dogs, or anything in between, and I have basic veterinary skills that allow me to administer oral medications as well as intramuscular and subcutaneous injections as needed. My partner works from home, and I am currently between seasonal jobs, so our lives are well suited to revolve around pets! We have a doggie door that leads to our fenced in yard, so dogs can take themselves out as they like, and cats can access the screened in porch. I also love taking walks through our neighborhood, which has safe streets as well as wooded trails and access to several creeks if anyone wants to swim! The cul-de-sac is also perfect for throwing a ball or frisbee, if your dog is into that kind of thing. We spend most evenings at home snuggled up on the couch, which has plenty of room for four legged guests (: Our home is safe and child-free, and (unfortunately) does not currently have any resident pets. We live on a cul-de-sac set far back in our neighborhood and have access to several wooded trails and marsh creeks. We have a dog door that leads to a screened in porch and a fenced in yard, which we have trained dozens of dogs to use over the years. I love taking walks, playing, and curling up on the floor or sofa for snuggles. I am also well trained in the art of giving mindless and continuous scratches. I’ve worked with many types of animals with all kinds of preferences, and I’m always happy to meet them where they’re at!

About: I’ve had various pets my entire life- dogs, cats, reptiles (a bearded dragon named Elvis), fish, rabbits, a ferret that I inherited when my sibling passed away, and even a bird that I rescued. Pets have been, and will forever be, a part of my life. I’ve now gotten my husband into the pet world, and he can’t imagine life without at least one dog now. Ha! We lost our senior pup of 16.5 years about a year ago, and have since rescued a Foxhound who was sick and malnourished when we fostered her. She and our other foster fail, Finn, have fun together! I also provide houseplant care for people. I’m a member of the Charleston area houseplant community, and have a house jungle of my own. My schedule is unique. I own a small handmade business, so I have a lot of time to be home (or at your home!). My unique situation allows for extra love and feelings of security while let parents are traveling. My work is easy to pack and bring with me, whether I’m sewing, knitting, crocheting, or embroidering/cross stitching. We have a fenced yard where our two dogs play and do essential “business”. I’m a helicopter pet parent, whether it’s my own pets or pets that I’m caring for.

About: I am a teacher who LOVES animals, especially dogs. They will be treated like my own and will be in a safe and very comfortable environment. I tend to spoil them a bit. My home is very clean, non-smoking, and your dogs will have free reign of the house as long as they are completely house trained/potty trained. If not (puppies), I love to help train them and they could either stay in a comfortable crate while I am away or at work or in an enclosed play pen if they are larger than my crate. I have 2 pugs, Bentley & Bruiser. Bruiser is 9, and Bentley is 2. Both are sweet and love other dogs. Feel free to contact me with any questions! I’m a teacher and about to be off for the summer, so my schedule is pretty flexible for drop ins or walks. I’d be willing to have one more (well-behaved, house broken, and friendly) medium or small sized dog stay in my home for overnight visits. I have a very clean, smoke-free home, where my pets have free reign of the entire house, even while I am out. If your dog is well trained, they would be free to roam, sleep on the couch, etc. My neighborhood is perfect for long walks and I usually take my pups on about a mile long walk every day.

About: I've taken care of my mom's little puppy for 4 years now. Taking him out for walks, playing, feeding and bathing him have become part of my day to day responsibilities ever since. I've always loved animals and I'm willing to learn how to tend to any kind of pets' needs. If an animal is on my care it will always be my #1 priority. I'm currently available any day of the week at all times. Times can be discussed depending on the service needed but I am pretty flexible! I have a pretty nice patio and a bunch of toys for your pet to play with. Nice and quiet enviroment or crazy and fun if your pet needs it.

This was the first time I used Kim & Dylan for doggy daycare for Reba & Willow. We did have a meet & greet prior to our first day of doggy daycare & They were amazing with my dogs. Kim & Dylan were very accommodating & attentive to Reba & Willow. Reba can be a bit nervous and Willow can be a bit over excited and they made both dogs feel comfortable. Both dogs were very happy & tired when I picked them up. I highly recommend Kim & Dylan and I would not hesitate to use them for doggy daycare (again) or boarding.

About: Our dog Zoey is part of our family, and your dog will be treated as part of the family when they visit us as well! I worked as a Veterinary tech for 3 years in college, so I am experienced with caring for many different breeds! I am also at home during the week and weekends, and work very minimally outside the house. I am looking forward to caring for your family member! I am comfortable with walking, feeding, playing with, and loving on your dog. I also have a great neighborhood for walking and a fenced in backyard. Our family loves to take care of all of our Rover clients as a team, so your pet will have plenty of love and attention! It truly is a joy for us, but please only consider us if you and your pets are comfortable with young children. Thank you for considering me! I am happy to answer any questions you may have! Me or my husband will be home most hours of the day so we will be available to give your pet lots of love and attention. We have a fenced in back yard. They will be outside with supervision of course. I also ask that your pet be crate trained so that when we are away for short outings they will be safe in their crate.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Johns Island

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Johns Island on Rover is $31.08 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 744 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Johns Island. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Johns Island commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 744 sitters in Johns Island, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
