“Alita is amazing!!! Just moved here from Vegas and have been looking for a home away from home for my sweet baby Blue. My separation anxiety has been a bit high especially in a new state, new environmental variables with a Frenchie but Alita set all my worries to ease immediately!!! He had so much fun, made lots of new friends and I got lots of pics!! I couldn’t be happier!! I am so thankful!!”

About: Dogs have been part of our family for our entire lives, and caring for them has always come naturally to us. We grew up with dogs and understand that they’re more than pets—they’re family members who deserve love, patience, attention, and a safe place to feel at home. We know how important it is to leave your dog with someone you trust, and we treat every dog in our care like one of our own. Whether that means playtime, walks, cuddles, keeping routines consistent, or simply making sure they feel comfortable and loved while you’re away, we focus on creating a calm and caring environment. Our goal is for both you and your pup to feel completely at ease—so you can enjoy your time away knowing your dog is being cared for like family. We can’t wait to meet your furry family member and welcome them into ours! Pet care fits very well into my schedule because I work from home and have a flexible routine. I’m able to provide pets with regular attention, potty breaks, playtime, walks, and companionship throughout the day. Since I’m home most of the time, pets won’t be left alone for long periods, and I can easily accommodate feeding schedules, medications, and individual needs. I love creating a safe, comfortable environment where pets feel cared for and part of the family Safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment where pets can feel relaxed and at home. I have a secure fenced yard where pets can safely play, explore, and get exercise under supervision. Since I work from home, I’m able to closely supervise pets and provide plenty of attention throughout the day. I take time to follow each owner’s instructions regarding routines, feeding schedules, medications, and preferences. I’ll treat every pet with patience, love, and care as if they were my own, while keeping owners updated for added peace of mind.
“Krissi and Jen were amazing! They worked with my schedule, they gave me lots of photos throughout the day and even gave my pup a goodie bag of homemade treats! I have never seen my high energy dog so tired after a day with them. I could not recommend them more!”

“The first couple of times I took Kimber to Carrie’s she wanted to leave with me. She had terrible separation anxiety. (I got her from a shelter). After about a week, she got more comfortable. Now when I drop her off she walks in like she owns the place, plops down on the sofa and waits for Carrie to turn the tv on for her😂”

“Alyssa watched my Goldendoodle, Roscoe yesterday. She was super communicative, sending me pictures and videos throughout the day. I could tell he was being very well cared for. He is scared of new people and other dogs, and she followed all of my directions on helping him through his big feelings. Thank you so much, Alyssa! I will definitely be using you again!”

About: My house is located in Park Circle in North Charleston and has a fenced in backyard great for playing. I enjoy taking Dez on walks and runs and would love to do the same with your fury friend. I also live by a few parks to take your dog out to play! I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I currently work from home part time and have a flexible schedule to accommodate a drop in service- refresh the water bowl, short walk for business or available for full 30 minute walk. Boarding available with notice required. I am known to adapt to the lifestyle my clients give their furry friends. Whether you want your dog taking on long walks or runs at the park playing fetch. At home I ensure pups get plenty of exercise and go out after breakfast and dinner.
About: We know how hard it is to find good care for your pups when you go out of town. Your pups will feel like they are on vacation too, because we will treat your best friend as part of our family with lots of TLC, walks and fun! We now have plenty of time and love to give your pets. We will provide walks every day, ball time and snuggles, water play if they want to. We have a fenced yard and plenty of love to keep your pup safe, happy and healthy. We can also provide day care for those long work days. Neil and I love to take walks, play in the back yard and snuggle on the couch. We are fortunate for one of us to be home 24/7 for your pups and ours! We have a beautiful half acre fenced yard, and we spend alot of time outdoors, except in this heat! We have a safe and lovely neighborhood for walks. We also take mid-day breaks for some rest. My husband or I am almost always home, so no one is ever alone for long! We also have the room to separate for meal time or breaks. No pets are ever outside alone.
“Abigail was a prompt and kind communicator and my dog had a great time playing with her friendly pup, Cheddar during her doggie daycare visit. I would highly recommend Abigail and will book with her again in the future!”

“Alex is extremely flexible and communicative! My dog absolutely loves him and will get super excited when we are on the route to go to Alex. She is always tired after dog daycare until even the next day (which is saying something since she is a high energy dog). Alex is very thorough and will ask a lot of good questions to get to know your dog better. Highly recommend to all dog owners!”

“It was our first time with Blakely and she is a star. She managed 3 other dogs effortlessly in addition to mine plus a young baby! We received photos from her and reports throughout the day. We will definitely use her services again! Blakely is excellent!”

“Hands down Vilma is the best Rover pet sitter we have ever used. She is caring and always puts our dog Whimsy at ease. We've had Vilma take care of Whimsy on three occasions and she has always gone above and beyond to make the experience exceptional. If you are in the Charleston, SC area and need a sitter...you should definitely contact Vilma.”

“Auntie Kelly took such wonderful care of my baby. I never had to question if he was ok the whole time. I received lots of pictures and plenty of updates. He was so happy when I picked him up. If we're ever in the area, she will be our go to sitter. Thanks Kelly!!”

“Great experience! Aubrea took great care of my dog, Max, and made the whole drop off and pickup process easy. I really appreciated the communication and flexibility with my work schedule. Max seemed comfortable and happy, which gave me peace of mind while I was at work. I would definitely book again and recommend them to anyone looking for reliable pet care.”

“Anna is the absolute best!! we have a very quirky dog and she knew exactly how to handle him, exactly how to care for him and treated him like gold! She is incredibly kind, has a great spirit and super positive attitude. We loved having Anna watch Wrigley and will always be our first call when we need a sitter! I can't recommend her enough, she's amazing!!!”

Blakely has some great skills in getting my dog to relax on the first visit. I was surprised that I received an early photo that clearly shows my Ms. Ellie was happy. Blakely presents a level of confidence that makes me glad I found her. I will be bringing Ms. Ellie back for my extended trips because she makes my dog feel like she has a second home. I recommend Blakley without hesitation.

Alex was great with my dogs, I was a little worried since one of mine is very timid and I’ve never left him with someone else before but by the end of the day he was doing great at his place! Alex kept me updated on how they were doing throughout the day - seems like my dogs both enjoyed hanging out with Alex and Devy and I’d feel comfortable leaving them with him again!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Charleston Air Force Base commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
