“Omg Michelle is the best ever!!! My little dog is afraid of everything and she made sure he felt safe and secure. My German shepherd loved her too and enjoyed their time together. I will definitely be using Michelle again. If I could give 100 stars I would!!!!!!”

“Madelyn was very punctual for every visit. She weathered the gnarly storm to check up on my sweet Buddy. She also kept me updated on the storm and if it was affecting the area to assure me Buddy was safe. She is very kind and was attentive to mine and my cat’s needs. Thank you Madelyn for an outstanding job! Will definitely book in the future!”

“She was wonderful! She took such great care of my pets and kept me updated with sweet photos. I came home to happy, relaxed pets—I’ll definitely book again!”

“So, so grateful for Nicki! She took great care of our 3 pups on super short notice: she was timely, friendly, left detailed reports and lots of pics, and the dogs LOVED her! Would absolutely recommend!”

“Our pups love Rainey! She loved on them while we were at a Christmas party. We don’t worry about them at all when Rainey watches them. Will definitely rebook her again!”
“jodie was very reliable. She took great care with our pets and always let us know how they were doing and also sent us pictures. She was very accommodating when our flight from Italy was cancelled and we arrived home a day late. We highly recommend her.”

“Katherine has incredible communication, and she’s been great with our nervous, stubborn pups as they adjust to being home alone for the first time! Would highly recommend booking with her :)”

“We had a last minute trip and this was our first experience using Rover. Joshua was phenomenal with Tibbs and Bella, very professional and a great caretaker!”

About: My first love was my childhood dog. I have been caring for dogs since a young child into my current adult life, including elderly dogs who need help taking their medications and young puppies who want to chew on EVERYTHINGGG. I am a proud auntie to three canines (two nephews and a niece), and I know firsthand the stress that accompanies trusting another person to care for your loved one. I would be honored to provide unique, supportive care so you can take care of the other important things in your life. I am currently a student in an online graduate program and aspiring part-time substitute teacher. I am lucky to have an extremely flexible schedule, and while it is always nice to make an extra bit of cash, I thoroughly enjoy working with animals! I have a large spare bedroom of my apartment with a big comfortable bed, large window, and overall calm environment. This can easily house up to two medium-sized pets comfortably while kept separate from the other room where my pets stay. My apartment complex includes great sidewalks and grass for frequent walks and outside play as needed.
“Emily was great. My cat can be timid and take awhile to warm up to strangers and Emily was extremely patient with her and ended up getting her to come out to play. We came home to a happy, healthy cat. She kept me updated and was very easy to keep in contact with. Will definitely use her again and would recommend!”

“I was super nervous about using a dog sitter but Morgan was more than willing to accommodate all mine and my two huskies needs. They’re usually shy with people but they took a liking to her. She did a great job with them and gave me peace of mind.”

“Ella did an amazing job with Fitzgerald and George Michael! She was on top of giving GM his daily inhaler and his rescue inhaler if he needed it. Every day she would provide a quick update with pictures of the boys and let me know if they had caused any trouble. I would highly recommend her to any of my friends and would definitely have her watch the boys again.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Charleston Air Force Base
This was my first time ever hiring a pet sitter, and she made it such a great experience! She took amazing care of my cat, gave her treats, played with her and made sure she was well cared for! I really appreciated the detailed updates after each visit and all the pictures she sent of HK playing, getting treats, and spending time with her — it gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. HK warmed up to her so quickly and I would absolutely love to have her watch HK again in the future! I highly recommend 😻

Rainey is now my go-to sitter. I was so nervous leaving my cat, Mia, for the first time for a week long trip. It was the first time I’ve left her that long since I adopted her. Rainey was incredibly attentive to Mia’s need and love for attention, and communicative with me on how she was doing while I was away. 10 out of 10 will work with again!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Charleston Air Force Base. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
