“Amber was a life saver when she was able to watch our cat Pinto during a last minute deployment! It was a huge relief knowing our cat was well cared for, we couldn't ask for anything more and will definitely book again if needed.”

“Rebecca was fabulous! She visited our kitties every day when we were out of town and gave us great updates throughout. She sent us beautiful photos of the kitties (seriously, she should consider a career in photography) in addition to little anecdotes about how her visit went. I would highly recommend having Rebecca watch your animals, we were really impressed. :)”

“Amy did a great job taking care of our extremely shy cat while we were away, even coaxing her out of her hiding spots for treats/petting. We received updates from Amy daily and notes about how our cat was doing, and felt very comfortable that she was in good hands.”

“Katherine did an excellent job. She was very communicative, followed all instructions perfectly, and made sure the cats' area was always nice and tidy. Would highly recommend!”

About: Hi! I’m an animal lover! I’ve had dogs, cats, and even some farm animals. I’ve had my oldest son, Tut, for 6 years now and my youngest daughter, Nunu, for almost 2 years. They are absolutely spoiled. If I was to care for your baby, they’d get all the play time, belly rubs, and walks they could handle. For drop ins and walks, I’ll love and adore any pet I get the pleasure of looking after. If you’re a busy bee, let me help with your fur babies! I’m currently working full-time during the week but I can do morning and evening drop-in’s/walks during the week. My weekends are pretty open and I am usually in Charleston during my free time. I have two cats of my own so I am use to full time care for both. I’ve cared for all ages of cats and dogs so I am pretty well equipped to handle all ages. My previous baby, Royal, took medication everyday so I am use to administering oral medication and keeping a medication schedule. My goal is to keep you and your babies happy. Just let me know what they need and I’ll make it happen.
“I can't say enough good things about Courtney! She took care of my two dogs while I was away, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment I met her, I felt completely at ease leaving my fur babies in her care. She kept me updated with photos and little notes, and it was clear that my dogs were happy and well taken care of. It's such a relief to know I have someone I can trust, and from now on, Courtney will definitely be my go-to for any help with them. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, reliable, and attentive dog sitter!”

About: I have lived with and loved dogs since I was born. I have best fur friends of my own. Sari and Basil. Both are comfortable around others; we are all excited to be around other pups of all sizes. I have an extremely flexible schedule and a welcome home. I live in a house in West Ashley that offers plenty of space as well as a huge fenced in yard, a park nearby which we will visit and plenty of walk ability. My son Lukas, 19, is also excited to be around more dogs and will love them as his own, as well. We can't wait to meet you all!! I work home home so your pup will never be Alone. I am available for dog walks, drop ins, boarding and over night stays. Looking forward to Meeting you! I have a fenced in yard for running and playing. I can be available for potty breaks, feeding and medication administration. Please let me know if you have any preferences
“Haley was GREAT with our two black labs (10yrs and 18 weeks) She came over for a meet and greet and the pups (and the cats too) warmed up to her immediately. She always showed up on time and stayed at least a half an hour. She took lots of pictures and communicated everything that happened on her visit well. We would definitely recommend Haley and will book her again!”

About: My experience includes overnight pet sitting as well as regular daytime check ins. I have pet sit for many family and friends over the years. I currently do not have a job so I will have plenty of time to be with your animals and make sure they are getting what they need. I am always willing to crate your animals if needed or take them for walks with a leash. I want to make sure they are safe and content.
About: I’ve gained experience the last few years in taking care of our German Shepherd, Luna and sweet kitty, Cookie! I always dog sit for friends when they’re out of town and I’ve learned how to give pills to dogs. One of my friend’s dogs has allergy problems and has to take pills for it, so she had to teach me how to do that. I love playing fetch and taking dogs on walks! I also wouldn’t mind giving your dog a bath (or taking him/her to the pet store to bathe them there!). Feel free to message me with any questions you might have! I am available every day after 4:00 and every weekend as needed. I have a flexible schedule and have a good amount of free time. I will make sure your animal or animals get the care they need and make sure they are well taken care of no matter what!

I usually notice dogs are a lot more comfortable in the space they are used to.

My neighbors, friends, family, and clients have trusted me to walk, bathe, feed and play with their dogs. Growing up I have had three Rhodesian Ridgebacks so I am used to large dogs as well. Additionally I have owned a cat, and horseback ride on the side. I'm an every-animal lover:)! I start nursing school the last week of August, and will mostly be available on weekends and Thursdays. Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Shell Point
Alyssa took such great care of my cats! I appreciated the detailed updates from her visits and her keeping an eye on Charlotte's bathroom habits. She has won over my sassy, energetic cat that requires extra play and my sweet, shy cat that has to take a regular supplement. I can relax when I'm away knowing Alyssa is caring for my cats!

Thank you Lenya for watching Smudge, once again. You made me feel at ease, knowing that you were familiar with my situation as well as taking care of Smudge in the past. I hope to be able to rely on you in the future for your excellent care of Smudge. Thanks again

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Shell Point. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
