“Katherine has incredible communication, and she’s been great with our nervous, stubborn pups as they adjust to being home alone for the first time! Would highly recommend booking with her :)”

“I appreciated her visit summaries and attention to detail! She would observe the cats moods and adjust accordingly- sometimes bringing Charlotte's supplement to her under the bed or getting a good play session in with Blanche. I know Blanche loved having another human that would play her favorite game of throw kibble and understood her button requests!”

“Miranda was amazing with our cats. Our oldest is shy around people and when he first met her he came right up to her. She gave amazing updates on our pets I would definitely recommend and rebook her”

“Teresa was amazing. She was so sweet to our Wrigley and gave him lots of love and attention. She sent several pictures and updates throughout the weekend and it was comforting to see how he was doing. Her communication was great. We will definitely be booking her again!!”

“We love hiring Jenny for our petting sitting needs!! Another great stay. Thank you for taking care of our animals while we are out of town. I never have to worry that they are well looked after.”

“Kenzie is super communicative, flexible with hours, amazing sitter, and got the best pics of my cat while I was away! I appreciate her kindness and going above and beyond for my picky cat!”

About: Hi! I’m an animal lover! I’ve had dogs, cats, and even some farm animals. I’ve had my oldest son, Tut, for 6 years now and my youngest daughter, Nunu, for almost 2 years. They are absolutely spoiled. If I was to care for your baby, they’d get all the play time, belly rubs, and walks they could handle. For drop ins and walks, I’ll love and adore any pet I get the pleasure of looking after. If you’re a busy bee, let me help with your fur babies! I’m currently working full-time during the week but I can do morning and evening drop-in’s/walks during the week. My weekends are pretty open and I am usually in Charleston during my free time. I have two cats of my own so I am use to full time care for both. I’ve cared for all ages of cats and dogs so I am pretty well equipped to handle all ages. My previous baby, Royal, took medication everyday so I am use to administering oral medication and keeping a medication schedule. My goal is to keep you and your babies happy. Just let me know what they need and I’ll make it happen.
About: I’ve taken care of pets (dogs, cats, geckos) big and small since I was young. I absolutely love nothing more than walking in to the house and getting such a warm (and sometimes slobbery) greeting. Traveling with pets can be hard, so let me spoil your fur babies so you can enjoy yourself! I currently work in a restaurant so I’m pretty flexible Monday-Thursday. When I do work, it’s not until 4 pm so I’m available all day before that and I’m off anywhere between 10 pm and midnight. I have tons of free time for drop in visits, and can house sit with no problems as well as long as me going to work at 4 pm into the night is okay. I am more than happy to stay in your home while you’re gone to make sure your fur babies have constant love and affection while you’re gone! I have no problem letting them outside throughout the day, going on walks, feeding them, cleaning litter boxes, giving them pets, etc. I can also do numerous drop in visits if that works better, offering all the same services! I have my own pets at my house so I unfortunately can’t bring them here, but I’d be more than happy to come to your home!
About: I’m dependable, loving, and attentive, treating every pet like my own. I’m patient with puppies, gentle with seniors, and dedicated to keeping every pet happy, comfortable, safe, and cared for. I work mostly nights so I will be able to walk or take care of animals all throughout the day! I can do anything before 3! I take my cats very seriously, if there is any sign of anything I’m immediately take them to the vet, I feed them twice a day with a mixture of wet and dry food and some probiotics! And I play with them for at least an hour a day!
“Amber was great and would I’d gladly recommend her to anyone who is in need. She took the time to come and meet my dog and write down all of the details. She didn’t just drop in and let my boy out for a bathroom break, she also took him on walks around the neighborhood, played fetch, and cleaned up after his excited pees - what more can you ask for? If you want peace of mind and good communication, Amber is just that.”

“Rachel is amazing! She was always very responsive and took great care of my kitties. She always gave good updates with details and pics so I always felt at peace while I was away that my cats were well taken care of.”

About: I just moved to Charleston, but have been a pet sitter for many families in Georgia, Florida, and Colorado. I was a live in nanny for 2 years, and during that time, the family got a puppy that I helped take care of. I also have a senior cat who I rescued as a kitten. I absolutely love animals and have had many different pets throughout my life (bearded dragon, dog, cats, fish, bunnies, geckos, snake, turtle, etc.). I am a part time wedding planner and substitute teacher, so I make my own schedule. I have a 5 year old daughter that I drop off at school at 7:15am and pick up at 2:30pm, so I have the whole day to do whatever I need to do without her. She also loves pets, so if your pet likes children, she may join after school! I have a screened in patio and am on the first level in my apartment building. We have lots of trees/greenery in the complex and there are many parks nearby. If I am in your home, I will treat it just like mine. I do ask that my 5 year old daughter is welcome in your home for overnights, and she can stay in the same bed as me.

About: Hi! I’m a dependable and active pet sitter who loves caring for animals of all kinds. I have both a dog and a cat of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pets. I’m happy to give your pet the time, attention, and care they deserve—whether that’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company. I’ll also keep you updated so you can feel confident while you’re away! I currently work full-time, 9am-6pm. I can be available for morning and evening check-ins, and depending on location, afternoons. I know how important worthwhile drop-ins are for pets, so I am willing to dedicate the time with your pets to ensure they get the daily love they deserve! As I do not have the space in my own apartment, I am not offering to host pets in my home. I am more than happy taking the time to commute to your home to spend time and take care of your pets. On occasion I could be available for overnight care, but I do have pets of my own I will need to care for.

Erin was FABULOUS with our cat Gizmo! I was so worried about leaving him for eight days because he is very attached to me. Erin reassured me before I left that she would take good care of him and she did just that. She fed him, played with him and loved on him as if he were her own pet. I was able to enjoy MY vacation knowing ‘my baby’ was happy. She also did all of this on a very short notice for us. We could not be more pleased with her help.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Rantowles. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
