“We had a bit of an unusual Rover request, and Lena was absolutely wonderful! We’re working with a trainer to help our shy dog, Bonzo, feel more comfortable with new people, and we needed someone he had never met to come over so we could practice having a “stranger” in the house. Lena was so kind, patient, and completely willing to follow our trainer’s instructions and go at Bonzo’s pace. They made the whole experience incredibly easy and were so sweet with him. We’re very grateful they were willing to help us out and would absolutely recommend them!”

“Calleigh is great! She took great care of my cat while I was out of town. She gave her lots of love and attention and spent a lot of time playing with her! I will definitely book with her again!!”

“Taylor is the absolute best with my 15 week old puppy Rooney! She is never late to visits, communicates well and quickly, and always takes tons of photos of him with detailed explanations about what he is up to during the visit. I can not recommend Taylor enough, she is amazing!”

“Christina is so lovely and responsive. Our dog clearly loves her and we do too. It’s really nice to have someone we trust in our house and taking care of our dog when we travel. She also sends really sweet pictures that help us know our dog is very happy.”
“Kristin was incredible!!! So so sweet to our kitties and sent such great updates while we were away. So grateful for her and highly recommend to anyone looking for a sitter!”

“This was my first time having Carly kittysit since my last sitter relocated to a different state. Carly was super friendly, on time to every visit and sent my tons of pictures (the more the better were my words I believe, haha) and was very professional. I definitely will be using her services again next time Ms Jewels needs her.”

About: Hi- if I have taken care of your furry best friend I am taking a break from in home boarding while we wait for our home to be build. I would love to continue watching your babies when we get into our new house. I am still doing drop ins for cats. 🐈 Hello my name is Sarah and I would love to help ease your stress around leaving your furry family member while you travel for work or play. I have experience with older dogs and will really learn what you and your animals need to feel good about their time away from you. I can do drop ins, walks or boarding. I have been watching dogs since living in the Caribbean when people left the island. We have an animal loving home with boys that love to cuddle with animals and 2 youthful kitties that have grown up around dogs and love to interact. I will work with you to make sure you feel like your animals will be treated as good as they would be at your house. I love sending pics and videos of your fur babies to you. I want you to have fun while you are away and know your animals are in good hands. 🩷 Thank you for choosing our family! I have many regular clients on and off Rover that stay with me. If your dog does not get along well with other dogs and you would like a private booking please let me know and we can discuss private rates. Otherwise I may have another dog that I am caring for when your baby is with us. If your dog has any bathroom habits that will help me with the stay please let me know. Thank you! I have a great schedule that will allow me to walk your dog during the day if we are boarding and I am available most weekends. If it is a drop in I can do that after 2 during the week and anytime during the weekends. I have summers off so I can do pick ups to take your baby to Folly if that is what will make your dog happy! I have a big fenced in yard and can have your baby sleep where they are comfortable. I have taught my children to be very careful when opening our front door. They make sure your dogs safety is the first priority.
“Amy did a great job taking care of our extremely shy cat while we were away, even coaxing her out of her hiding spots for treats/petting. We received updates from Amy daily and notes about how our cat was doing, and felt very comfortable that she was in good hands.”

“Brittany did an amazing job caring for my fur babies while I was away! She kept me updated with photos and comments about how they were doing and made me feel super comfortable! I would definitely recommend her and use her again!”

“WOW! I will be reaching out to Anna any time I need someone to let out my sweet girl. She sent so many pictures of play time and gave me a thorough message about her visit.”

“Sara was a phenomenal cat sitter, and we were so grateful that she was able to accept our booking the same day after our original sitter canceled. She took wonderful care of our two cats while we were away, they warmed up to her quickly, and we truly appreciate everything she did! Thank you so much, Sara!”

“Lydia is amazing!! She is so sweet and patient with our pups. They were well taken care of when she stayed the weekend with them. We came back to a house cleaner than we left it!”

“Ally was amazing! She was so thoughtful and thorough with our old dog Boone. Her messages and photos each walk assured us he was getting the best care. I would 100% recommend her to be your pet sitter and we will absolutely hire her again!”

Taylor was an incredible pet sitter front to back; we cannot recommend her highly enough! She was super communicative and took extra care and time to make sure our crew felt loved and taken care of while we were away. She is so professional and thoughtful and authentically cares about the animals she sits for. 10/10 across the board!

We couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter! She did a fantastic job taking care of Crooks and Piggy while we were away. The house was fresh and clean when we got home, and she sent us pictures every day so we could see how happy and relaxed they were. We truly felt like our cats were in the best possible hands the entire time. Highly recommend, thank you so much!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Avondale. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
