“Adam was great with Venus today! He sent pictures and she had a great time visiting him with other dogs. He has excellent skills with her as a new dog learning his que for stopping something that we will be using at home! Thanks Adam!”

“Mandy was fantastic!! We needed a sitter last-minute and she came to the rescue. She took great care of our boy Winston and we can tell he had an awesome time with her and Julep. We highly recommend booking with Mandy!!”

“Christina was amazing with my puppy Freddie! She is clearly very experienced with dog watching and did an amazing job. Freddie had a great day, and I really appreciated the photo updates. When I brought him home, he was so relaxed and sleepy from a day full of fun and activities! We will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Katelyn is a fantastic dog sitter! She watched Onyx during the daytime while I was away on business for a week and both he and I couldn't be happier. Onyx has been to a few boarding facilities in the area, but he never gets the exercise he needs there. With Katelyn, he got plenty of exercise, didn't need to spend time crated, and got to make some good friends. I really appreciate all the cute photos she sent me. She was also very prompt and professional in communication. I couldn't recommend her more highly.”

About: My fiancé (Tarek) and I have cared for dogs for years and understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust. We have extensive experience caring for dogs of all ages—from energetic puppies to sweet seniors—and we treat every dog as if they were our own. We’re reliable, attentive, and focused on giving you total peace of mind while you’re away. Our goal is simple: to provide the same level of love, safety, and care we’d want for our own dog. We have one 4-year-old dog, Murray, who loves making new dog friends and enjoys plenty of playtime. We’re always happy to do a meet-and-greet or chemistry test before any boarding to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for everyone. We also have an adult female cat, Tux, who found her way to us about a year ago and quickly made herself at home. She’s primarily an outdoor cat but sleeps inside at night. Tux and Murray get along very well, and while she tends to keep to herself when other dogs are around, this has never posed an issue during dog sitting. Tarek works full-time from home, so there’s always someone here, and I work a hybrid schedule and am home two days each week. We have a fully fenced yard perfect for playtime and sunbathing, plus an enclosed, shaded porch that’s ideal for afternoon snoozes. We’d love to host your VIP (very important pup!) anytime and make sure they feel right at home 🐾 We also offer walks and drop-in services. We work full-time (9-5) jobs, but always make time for long morning and evening walks. Tarek's fully remote job allows for intermittent play and attention during the day. On weekends, we like to be outside with our dog as much as possible whether that means a trip to the beach, dog park, or exploring a new trail. We're able to board during the week + weekends, or provide drop-in care/walks! We're happy to work with your pet’s needs and routine. We have a fully fenced yard perfect for playtime and sunbathing, plus an enclosed, shaded porch that’s ideal for afternoon snoozes. We have space to accommodate a crate if you pet requires one.
About: I've been a dog lover my whole life, and my experience comes from years of being a pet parent myself. I cared for my Schnauzer for 14 wonderful years, and I have a Bulldog who lives with my parents in Peru. I miss her every day!!! Whether it's going for a walk, keeping up with playtime, or making sure your pet feels safe and comfortable, I'll treat them like they're my own. I work remotely and go to the office a few hours twice a week, I work out, and I love to go for walks. And I have plenty of free time to host a dog! My apartment building is full of friendly puppies and I wish I had my own. We have a fenced patio/garden and a park close by. My apartment is pet friendly and super safe!!!
About: Hi! I’m Amanda — a lifelong dog lover with 15+ years of hands-on pet sitting experience caring for dogs and homes for extended periods of time. I’ve spent years sitting through TrustedHousesitters, as well as privately for families, professionals, and entrepreneurs — often for weeks or months at a time. Because of that, I’m very comfortable providing consistent, reliable care that supports a dog’s routine, energy level, and emotional needs — not just quick visits. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets real attention, presence, and calm companionship throughout the day. I’m especially good with dogs who appreciate structure, patience, and a grounded energy — including senior dogs, sensitive dogs, and breeds that take a little time to warm up. My experience includes: • Puppies through senior dogs • High-energy and more reserved breeds • Dogs who need routine, medication, or extra reassurance • Long-term home and pet care while owners travel I take this work seriously and genuinely love what I do. My goal is always for you to feel completely at ease, knowing your pet is safe, cared for, and treated like family while you’re away. I’m happy to schedule a meet & greet to be sure it feels like the right fit — for you and your dog 🤍 Also: please note the many 5 STAR reviews listed in my photos as I have been pet sitting for years! Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which means I’m able to plan my day around walks, check-ins, playtime, and quality companionship — not squeeze pets in between meetings. I genuinely love being active and getting outside for walks, and I’m fortunate to live in a great, walkable area that’s perfect for safe, engaging outings and fresh air. Whether it’s a structured walk, relaxed companionship at home, or simply keeping a calm presence nearby, pets are naturally woven into my day — not treated as an afterthought. I care for pets with a lot of presence, structure, and genuine love. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which allows me to plan my day around a pet’s needs — walks, playtime, feeding, medication, and quiet companionship — rather than fitting care in between other obligations. In my home, pets enjoy a calm, comfortable environment with access to a beautiful marsh backyard and open green space, which is perfect for fresh air, relaxed outdoor time, and peaceful walks. I love being active and getting outside, so walks and movement are a natural part of my day, whether that’s neighborhood strolls, sniff breaks, or simply enjoying time outdoors. In a client’s home, I’m very respectful of routines and instructions. I follow feeding schedules, walk preferences, and house guidelines closely so pets feel safe, grounded, and comfortable in their own space. I provide regular updates, photos, and thoughtful communication so you always know how your pet is doing. I truly love animals, and being around them genuinely makes my day. My goal is always for pets to feel secure, cared for, and happy — and for owners to feel completely at ease while they’re away.
“Rachel went above and beyond to watch our Sissy. We were visiting from out of town and wondered how we might tour Fort Sumter. Rachel saved the day, making our day a total success! Rachel Met is at the ferry terminal, walked Sissy around Charleston, sending us pictures of happy Sissy of their day. When we returned, Rachel and Sissy were waiting for us at the ferry terminal. We couldn’t have been happier, Sissy too!”

About: Hello there, my name is Amanda and I’m a dog owner looking to help others. I work from home and am able to do drop ins, walk, or event host in our home. Having owned breeds of all kinds since I was young; I would love to spend time with your pup. I look forward to welcoming and caring for your pet. I currently work from home and have a very flexible schedule making it easy to take your dog on a walk (or run!), as well as keep them company throughout the day. I have a fenced in yard and a small, 10 lb, Maltese who is very friendly. We also have a child in the home so the dog will need to be kid friendly.
About: When I go to a party, I’m basically counting down the minutes until it’s acceptable for me to leave and go back to my dogs. We have a border collie mix named Piper, and a schnoodle named Winnie! Piper is probably the dumbest border collie you will ever meet. There is not a single thought behind those sweet eyes. Winnie probably had the potential to be an emotional support dog but squirrels get the best of her. My husband works from home full time, and I am home from working for a local school county for the summer. We love dogs and I would love to care for yours this summer! I am home from the summer, so I am available majority of June and most of July! I am available for midday walks, and drop ins. Walking and playing with pups is already part of my daily routine! We have a fenced in yard, and never leave our dogs unaccompanied. I am always hyperaware of my environment on walks, and will change directions if I see a dog that seems unsafe or off leash.
“Alyssa watched my Goldendoodle, Roscoe yesterday. She was super communicative, sending me pictures and videos throughout the day. I could tell he was being very well cared for. He is scared of new people and other dogs, and she followed all of my directions on helping him through his big feelings. Thank you so much, Alyssa! I will definitely be using you again!”

“Mike was a life saver responding to a daycare request on such short notice. Communication was great and I felt very comfortable leaving my pup with him for the day. 10/10 would recommend!”

“My dog had a wonderful day with Meghan and her pups! Meghan was able to give my dog lots of love, attention, and exercise-she was completely worn out when I picked her up! If we lived in the area we would absolutely use Meghan regularly.”

I have a yard, but I live close to a dog park and a park. As of right now I am only doing drop ins and walks. I may be able to work with one small dog after 12pm daily.
Avondale dog parents share their Rover experiences
Gray was wonderful with our pups. The younger one is extremely shy and, by the end of the day, was letting Gray pet her. I’m guessing lots of ball-time, walks and snuggles on the couch helped. But it is amazing. There are neighbors that still can’t pet the 3-year-old Boykin. (And, yes, she is socialized at doggie daycare, art festivals, and dinners….) We will definitely use Gray when we are back in Charleston.

Adam responded to my request to watch Nellie the day on very short notice. Nellie has separation anxiety which is being treated but she still requires extra attention. Adam handled her like they were best friends, and with the help of his dog Nellie had a great day playing in the fenced yard and sleeping in a comfortable dog bed when she tired out. I whole heartedly recommend him.

Ms. Pam was amazing. Like I am first time dog owner, definitely figuring out the game and she not only was patient with me during pick up and drop off, but very informative and allowed a safe space for my MoonBeam (dog) and I to connect and get to know one another. I highly recommend.

Bruce has been amazing with my pup Pipoca. He always takes great care of him, and I can tell Pipoca loves spending time there. He gets so excited the moment we pull up in front of Bruce’s house and can't wait to jump out of the car. He also loves playing with Bruce’s dog, Storm (Pipoca's best buddy). It’s such a good feeling knowing Pipoca is in good hands with someone who’s reliable, and clearly loves dogs.
