Pet care experience

Lifelong animal lover, trustworthy

Hi! I’m Amanda — a lifelong dog lover with 15+ years of hands-on pet sitting experience caring for dogs and homes for extended periods of time. I’ve spent years sitting through TrustedHousesitters, as well as privately for families, professionals, and entrepreneurs — often for weeks or months at a time. Because of that, I’m very comfortable providing consistent, reliable care that supports a dog’s routine, energy level, and emotional needs — not just quick visits. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets real attention, presence, and calm companionship throughout the day. I’m especially good with dogs who appreciate structure, patience, and a grounded energy — including senior dogs, sensitive dogs, and breeds that take a little time to warm up. My experience includes: • Puppies through senior dogs • High-energy and more reserved breeds • Dogs who need routine, medication, or extra reassurance • Long-term home and pet care while owners travel I take this work seriously and genuinely love what I do. My goal is always for you to feel completely at ease, knowing your pet is safe, cared for, and treated like family while you’re away. I’m happy to schedule a meet & greet to be sure it feels like the right fit — for you and your dog 🤍 Also: please note the many 5 STAR reviews listed in my photos as I have been pet sitting for years!

Amanda and her husband were amazing. They truly love dogs. Goldie had a great time. She was exhausted when she got home. They took her to 2 different spots for exercise. Definitely recommend.

Amanda is amazing. She took care of my large half Great Pyrenees several times. I knew that each time she came my dog and my home were in the best of hands. She always took excellent care of my dog and my home. It was wonderful to know that I could enjoy my trip without any stress. Amanda is a very special person. She is warm and very caring. She treated my dog and my home as if they were her own. I highly recommend her. Anyone would be lucky to have her as a caregiver. Amanda is the Best!!

Schedule

Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which means I’m able to plan my day around walks, check-ins, playtime, and quality companionship — not squeeze pets in between meetings. I genuinely love being active and getting outside for walks, and I’m fortunate to live in a great, walkable area that’s perfect for safe, engaging outings and fresh air. Whether it’s a structured walk, relaxed companionship at home, or simply keeping a calm presence nearby, pets are naturally woven into my day — not treated as an afterthought.

Safety, trust & environment

I care for pets with a lot of presence, structure, and genuine love. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which allows me to plan my day around a pet’s needs — walks, playtime, feeding, medication, and quiet companionship — rather than fitting care in between other obligations. In my home, pets enjoy a calm, comfortable environment with access to a beautiful marsh backyard and open green space, which is perfect for fresh air, relaxed outdoor time, and peaceful walks. I love being active and getting outside, so walks and movement are a natural part of my day, whether that’s neighborhood strolls, sniff breaks, or simply enjoying time outdoors. In a client’s home, I’m very respectful of routines and instructions. I follow feeding schedules, walk preferences, and house guidelines closely so pets feel safe, grounded, and comfortable in their own space. I provide regular updates, photos, and thoughtful communication so you always know how your pet is doing. I truly love animals, and being around them genuinely makes my day. My goal is always for pets to feel secure, cared for, and happy — and for owners to feel completely at ease while they’re away.

A typical day

A typical day with me is calm, structured, and full of care, and FUN. Because I work from home, pets are never left alone for long stretches and are naturally part of my daily rhythm. The day usually starts with morning feedings, potty breaks or litter checks, and a relaxed walk or outdoor time to get fresh air and movement. I love starting the day outside when possible, so walks or time in our beautiful marsh surroundings are a regular part of the routine. Throughout the day, pets enjoy a mix of companionship, playtime, enrichment, and rest. I’m attentive to energy levels — whether that means an active walk, interactive play, or simply quiet time nearby while I work. I follow feeding schedules, medication needs, and individual routines closely so pets feel safe and grounded. In the evenings, we wind down with another walk or check-in, dinner, and calm time together. I make sure pets are settled, comfortable, and relaxed before bedtime. For cats, this often includes gentle play, brushing, or quiet companionship in their favorite spots. Overall, my goal is for each pet’s day to feel familiar, peaceful, and loving — like being at home, just with extra attention and care.

Before a stay, I love learning what makes your pet your pet. Knowing their routine, personality, likes and dislikes, feeding schedule, sleeping habits, walking preferences, and any medical or behavioral needs helps me create a calm, familiar experience for them. I also appreciate understanding how they show affection, what helps them feel safe, and anything that brings them comfort. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can care for your pet with intention, ease, and genuine love.
