About: Hi! I'm Rachel, a recent College of Charleston graduate with a B.A. in psychology. I have spent the last 16 years raising and caring for dogs. Animals have always been a significant part of my life, as my family dog even helped me take my first steps. I started dog sitting in my neighborhood when I was 10 years old and haven't stopped since. One neighbor invited me over every Tuesday to meet her new foster puppy of the week, which is how I adopted my first puppy, Rocky. During my senior year of high school, I got my second dog, Sadie, who has taught me as much as I have taught her. My experience extends beyond my pets, as friends and family come to me for help with training their new puppies and to take care of their pets while they are away. I currently care for my black cat, Bagheera, and my golden retriever, Duke, and I also lease a horse named French, which has strengthened my responsibility and consistency in animal care. About: I grew up with dogs all my life. I have a gentle giant who loves having friends over. I’m a very active person so I always go on hikes or runs with the pups. I’ll treat your dog as I treat Milo with a lot of cuddles, love, walks and treats xx I work from home so I will be dedicated to your companion. I am always around so you can be sure they will be treated as my own. I live on the 1st floor with a direct access to a nice area to walk your dog. If you are ok with dog parks, our complex has a big fenced dog park that gets busy at lunch and night time but pretty empty during the day so I am happy to adjust to your preferences. About: Hello, fellow dog lovers! We live in downtown Charleston and would love to watch your dog. We graduated from USC in 2020 and moved to Charleston from NYC. We like to spend our free time walking the pitt street bridge, going to the beach (only dog-friendly ones!), and recently getting into intense pickleball matches. Animals have a special place in our hearts and after college, we decided to adopt! We have a four year old Australian shepherd/Golden retriever named Sallie. She is the sweetest dog always looking for a friend to run around with. You can trust your baby with us! I'm fully remote and my husband works downtown! We take our dog Sallie to the park in the three times a day. On the weekend, we love to go for morning walks all over Charleston. Tiring out the doggos is our main priority when we have a visitor. In our home we have two bedrooms if your dog needs space to relax on their own. As well as a porch for afternoon tanning. Sallie can lay out there for hours.

I specialized in search and rescue as well as disaster recovery. I miss being of service with my big boys and now care for other dogs and cats, especially those requiring speciaI attention. I may run out for an hour or so to pick up my mail and be sure that all is well at my home and studio and that lights are turned on or off. I always request an initial meeting to be certian I am comfortable with you as owners and your pet. Likewise I want you and your pet to be comfortable with me. I have a questionaire so that I know your and your pet's routines and habits as well as contacts for family, friends and the vet. I do not accept certain breeds and your pets must have all their vacinations, be free of fleas and ticks and also be clean. If you are working on training let me know so that I can re-enforce positively.

I really appreciated Dakota taking my last minute request for care for my very large dog Freya. She was not intimidated by her size and welcomed her into her apartment with her own cat and dog. Freya was very willing to go with her the following day which is the highest compliment, as she does not like leaving me and jumped right into Dakota's car. As you may expect there was a bit of last minute shuffling of schedules to make it work but Dakota made herself available to pick up and drop off Freya to make it easier for all. All and all it was a good experience for all and I'd happily use Dakota for care in the future....
