About: I’ve grown up with dogs in my household my entire life and have always had a special place in my heart for animal care. Being so familiar with dogs, I am willing to adapt and learn how to take the best care for your animal. When I come to play, walk, and care for your dogs I will dedicate my time to loving them. Specifically growing up I’ve helped train two golden retrievers within my family. I’ve also dog sat for family friends and neighbors growing up and would love to help out any dog owners downtown that need an extra hand! I am currently living in Charleston as a full time CofC student and am available for drop ins and/or house sittings! I am pretty flexible and can take on last minute bookings. I’m currently a full time worker at a coffee shop, so my shifts are typically early morning to midday. I have the rest of my days free and would love to help out as much as I can! I walk daily and am very familiar with the neighborhood. I have a lot of flexible availability to go on long walks or multiple walks a day.
“Sangram is so great! Wonderful communicator and great at interacting with my dog! Always on time, takes lots of pictures, and goes above and beyond. Would definitely book again!”

“Karrigan has quickly become our go-to overnight sitter and daily dog walker. She sends pics, writes sweet notes about Tucker, and has been super communicative and wonderful. We’ll continue booking her regularly to take care of our pup!”

“Rachel spent the week walking my dog, Bran, 2x/day. She did an excellent job. It was a crazy heat wave and my dog was a bit limp from the heat but she got him out and about at the park running around off leash. Thanks Rachel for doing a great job. Bran loves you!”

“Kristin was fabulous when we needed someone to step in while our default dog sitter was gone! She took lots of photos and wrote great summaries. I will definitely use her again!”

About: I've always loved animals and have experience caring for both dogs and cats of all sizes and personalities. I have pet sat for family, friends, and neighbors, helping with feeding, walks, playtime, and daily care. I grew up with a Yorkie and a Siamese cat and have also cared for a variety of other breeds, giving me experience with pets of different sizes and temperaments. While I do not currently have pets of my own, I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I understand that every pet is unique, and I am committed to providing dependable, attentive care tailored to their individual needs. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or simply extra cuddles and companionship, I will treat them as if they were my own. I work remotely which allows me to be available for pet visits, walks, and house sitting throughout the week. I enjoy spending time with animals and can provide dependable care while accommodating your pet's routine and needs. I am available on weekdays and weekends and will do my best to be flexible whenever possible. I understand how important it is to keep your pet's routine as consistent as possible while you're away. I take the time to learn their schedule, preferences, and personality so they can feel comfortable, secure, and cared for. Whether your pet has a specific feeding routine, favorite walking route, or just enjoys extra attention and playtime, I am happy to accommodate their individual needs and provide care tailored to them.
About: I’ve helped take care of dogs since I was 10. I helped train our Bernese Mountain Dog puppy at a young age, and played a great role in taking care of her for the next six years. I’ve dog sat and dog walked friends and families dogs plenty of times over the past few years. Some of these dogs were beagles, labradors, retrievers, and collies. I’m currently an undergraduate student, I only have two or three classes a day and then I’m available for the rest of the day! When I’m on school breaks, I work a part time job, giving me a lot of free time to watch your fur baby. My house has a fenced in yard making it easy to take out your pet. I have no other pets currently, ensuring you a safe environment if they’re at my home. I can easily put your pet in a crate if needed, and I’m very attentive!

About: I have nearly a decade of experience caring for dogs for friends, family, and repeat households. I’m especially experienced with adult dogs who thrive on routine and are comfortable being alone during the workday. I focus on consistency, calm care, and clear communication, and I follow feeding, walking, and medication instructions carefully. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and treat every home with respect. I work full-time during standard business hours and provide pet care before and after work, as well as overnight house sitting. I’m a great fit for pets that are comfortable being alone for 8–9 hours during weekdays. My mornings and evenings are dedicated to walks, feedings, playtime, and quality care, and I’m fully present in the home overnight. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize safety, cleanliness, and routine. I follow all care instructions closely, keep doors and gates secure, and maintain a calm environment. I respect your home as if it were my own, keep things tidy, and provide regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Charleston
I was very nervous to use Rover but since I have to stay late at work occasionally, I wanted an option for my dog. Sam has been so great with Charlie. He’s very flexible and communicative. He’s been letting her out once a week and it’s really put my mind at ease. He always sends me a picture and gives me a little update. He was also very patient and understanding of me being nervous to let someone else take care of my dog. I know my dog Charlie really likes him as well.

Mary is the sweetest dog walker. She took care of my girl Jewel beyond what I hoped for during their hour long walk. Would use again. she came earlier than scheduled when I suggested it might rain later and that meant everything cause my dog doesn’t like the rain.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
