About: I’ve had dogs since I was a little kid and have always loved playing with them, walking them, and just loving on them! I’ve got a 3 year old corgi named Gus of my own and he loves to play and go on walks with other dogs. I’m a nurse at MUSC and my schedule differs every week, but I can be flexible when able! I walk my dog multiple times a day and we play in the dog park at my apartment as well as on the beach. They can play together or I can keep my dog completely separate from your pup! My apartment is very dog friendly and there is a big dog park in my complex for them to play. There’s also a smaller fenced in park in case they’re not very social. I’ve also got plenty of safe space around me for long walks with your pup!
“I had such a great experience! My dog was sick, but well cared for, and clearly loved/needed the attention. Communication was easy and consistent, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. I’ll definitely be booking again!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and have pet sat for family, friends, and neighbors since I was a kid! I fostered a sweet pittie mix for a few months while I was in college as well. I work part-time a restaurant, so the rest of my days are pretty open! I work shifts that are less than 8 hours so I can play with and check on your pet before/after. I will be a grad student starting next month as well, but only will have class two days a week. I have a car and am happy to drive to your home! I am happy to feed, play with, and crate pets in your home! I am happy to follow any routine/guidelines to best serve you and your pet!
About: I have been a dog and cat owner and sitter since I was very young. Neighbors and friends have been able to rely on me to walk, feed, and pick up after their pets. I love spending time with animals and hope to provide a bright and loving environment for your fur babies! I work full-time on Daniel Island so drop-in visits or walks outside of work hours might work best! Happy to pop in at lunch time if the commute isn't too far as well! Would love to do what I can to make your pet comfortable with a new person in their space. Happy to meet with you before booking and take your pets' lead!
About: I have owned dogs my entire life and have been dog walking for several years. I would love to meet and take care of your pets! I have also trained my dog to walk on leash without pulling and to sit and wait by the door before going out. I’m happy to work on those things if interested! I work part-time with flexible hours which allows me the flexibility to care your pets. I am happy to work on weekends and work with your schedule. I will respect your house and pets and follow any specific requests. I love animals and can not wait to work with your family pet!!
About: Grew up the daughter of a dog & horse trainer. I’m a caregiver by nature who has raised a family surrounded by animals of all kinds. I am a “retired” stay at home mom who teaches science classes part time and would love to fill some of my recent free time with furry friends. I love animals and nature & can’t think of a better way to spend my days than a walk with a four legged friend. I am a caregiver by nature and very attentive. I’m confident and comfortable walking both big and small dogs alike. I probably like dogs more than people and will be happy to shower your guy with love and attention.

About: I've grown up around animals my whole life, owning and caring for multiple dogs, cats, reptiles, and fish over the years. I currently have a 3-year-old Aussiedoodle named Luna who I take all around Charleston, the beach, the boat, the county park, so I know firsthand what it takes to keep an active dog happy and well-exercised. Beyond dogs and cats, I'm a true animal enthusiast. I currently maintain both a saltwater and freshwater aquarium, dart frog terrariums, and have owned reptiles including snakes and geckos over the years. I've also had multiple cats throughout my life. No matter what your household looks like, I'm comfortable around it, and genuinely passionate about animals of all kinds. I work from home, which means I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate walks and drop-ins throughout the day. Whether you need a midday walk, a morning check-in, or an afternoon visit, I can make it work around your pet's routine. When I'm in your home, I treat it with the same care and respect I'd want for my own. I always follow your pet's established routine and any specific instructions you leave, and I send photo and video updates so you can see how your pup is doing. Your dog stays secure on leash at all times during walks, and your home is left exactly as I found it.
About: I grew up caring for the pets of friends and family, and currently have a puppy and two cats of my own. I have experience watching and caring for dogs, cats, chickens, lizards, small rodents, fish, etc. I live a very active lifestyle and spend a lot of time outside so am happy to provide whatever type of care your pet requires! I am starting school at the CofC graduate program in marine bio, so my weekday schedule varies but I should be free most early mornings, evenings, and weekends! I have two cats and a puppy at home that are all very loved and cared for. The last person to watch my cats kept saying it was obvious how loved they are. My puppy gets tons of exercise and enrichment every day and I’d love to show similar care to your pets!

About: I have experience taking care of dogs from all backgrounds and ages. I have learned to pick up cues from each individual. I have taken care of elderly dogs, administered medication and cleaned up after accidents. I have also done mini training sessions with puppies and established healthy boundaries. I work part time, but love to prioritize pet care as it’s such a love of mine. Consistency in visits works best, but I’m happy to pop in and hang out with your furry children when needed! I’m very respectful of dogs spaces and won’t bother them when they’re trying to relax that goes for in my home or in yours occasionally I will give treats, but not without parents consent

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
