Sarah walked my girl last minute when I found out I was working late. She kept an eye on her in the heat and took lots of photos for me. I’ll definitely use her again!

About: I have one cat named Libby. I have had her for about 4 years. Also, I've watched friends pets while they are out of town (dogs, cats) I have a fully time job but I work remotely which allows me to fit pet care into my routine before, during lunch, and after work. I will care for the pets based on the clients requests but this would include: feeding, taking out for bathroom breaks, and going on walks (if dogs) or playing with (if cats).

About: •I worked at a pet resort for a year •I've always lived in a household with pets •I currently have two doggos of my own •I've pet sit for numerous people for a handful of years •Comfortable administering medications, and comfortable and patient with the shy and skittish ones! I currently have completely open availability! I just moved to chs and I am trying to make money since I dont have a job yet. I've always been the biggest animal lover. Since I worked at a pet resort, I've become very comfortable administering medications and following specific diets for the fur babies. I also understand not all dogs are friendly and excited right off the bat, and I'm very patient and let them come to me whenever they're comfortable!

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and have pet sat for family, friends, and neighbors since I was a kid! I fostered a sweet pittie mix for a few months while I was in college as well. I work part-time a restaurant, so the rest of my days are pretty open! I work shifts that are less than 8 hours so I can play with and check on your pet before/after. I will be a grad student starting next month as well, but only will have class two days a week. I have a car and am happy to drive to your home! I am happy to feed, play with, and crate pets in your home! I am happy to follow any routine/guidelines to best serve you and your pet!

About: I’ve had dogs since I was a little kid and have always loved playing with them, walking them, and just loving on them! I’ve got a 3 year old corgi named Gus of my own and he loves to play and go on walks with other dogs. I’m a nurse at MUSC and my schedule differs every week, but I can be flexible when able! I walk my dog multiple times a day and we play in the dog park at my apartment as well as on the beach. They can play together or I can keep my dog completely separate from your pup! My apartment is very dog friendly and there is a big dog park in my complex for them to play. There’s also a smaller fenced in park in case they’re not very social. I’ve also got plenty of safe space around me for long walks with your pup!

About: Hi! I’m Lauren, a lifelong dog lover and proud dog mom to my pup, Piper. I’ve cared for dogs of different ages and personalities, including dogs with separation anxiety, training needs, and active exercise routines. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet because I feel the same way about my own dog. Whether your pet loves long walks, playing fetch, cuddling on the couch, or just having someone nearby, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I work remotely, which will give me the flexibility to provide attentive care, frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of companionship throughout the day! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have experience caring for my own dog and understand how important it is to create a calm, secure environment. I follow all owner instructions carefully, provide regular updates and photos, and make sure pets receive plenty of supervision, exercise, and love while in my care.

About: I have experience taking care of dogs from all backgrounds and ages. I have learned to pick up cues from each individual. I have taken care of elderly dogs, administered medication and cleaned up after accidents. I have also done mini training sessions with puppies and established healthy boundaries. I work part time, but love to prioritize pet care as it’s such a love of mine. Consistency in visits works best, but I’m happy to pop in and hang out with your furry children when needed! I’m very respectful of dogs spaces and won’t bother them when they’re trying to relax that goes for in my home or in yours occasionally I will give treats, but not without parents consent

About: Grew up the daughter of a dog & horse trainer. I’m a caregiver by nature who has raised a family surrounded by animals of all kinds. I am a “retired” stay at home mom who teaches science classes part time and would love to fill some of my recent free time with furry friends. I love animals and nature & can’t think of a better way to spend my days than a walk with a four legged friend. I am a caregiver by nature and very attentive. I’m confident and comfortable walking both big and small dogs alike. I probably like dogs more than people and will be happy to shower your guy with love and attention.

About: My family adopted a cavalier-shih tzu mix when I was in middle school and once I became a teenager, they’d trust me to take care of him and the house by myself. I can watch over any small or medium sized dogs, feeding them and walking them as needed! I currently take online college courses so I’m available any day of the week! Earliest I can come over is noon and I can stay as late as 6 pm I can easily take your pet out for a walk and feed them their meals. Depending on how active they are, I can play with them at home as well or just provide affection

About: I’ve had hands-on experience caring for three dogs growing up, which taught me responsibility, patience, and how to manage different personalities and energy levels. I’m confident with daily routines, walks, feeding, and making pets feel safe and comfortable. I am currently working part time. I’m available for pet care on Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursday, and Fridays and would love to help out! I will be out of town from July 30th to August 22nd, but I’m happy to book before or after those dates. Pet care means following the owner’s instructions carefully while making sure the pet feels safe, fed, and comfortable. This includes feeding them on schedule, providing fresh water, taking dogs on regular walks, cleaning up after them, and giving them attention and playtime. It’s also important to keep them safe and follow any house rules. I always make sure to communicate with updates so owners know their pet is doing well.

Jessica was exceptional. She handled our dogs with genuine care, patience, and professionalism, especially our rescue who can be shy at first. She took the time to understand their personalities and needs, and made sure they were comfortable and well cared for. We felt completely at ease knowing they were in her hands. Highly recommended.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Folly Beach. On Rover:

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
