“Alexis was extremely dependable and helpful, especially when it came to assisting with cleaning up after Crypto. She didn’t hesitate to step in when needed and handled everything with care and professionalism. Her reliability and willingness to help made a big difference, and I’m very grateful for her support.”

“Ally was amazing! She was so thoughtful and thorough with our old dog Boone. Her messages and photos each walk assured us he was getting the best care. I would 100% recommend her to be your pet sitter and we will absolutely hire her again!”

“This was Caroline’s second time taking care of Percy. She is great! Very communicative and sends pictures and videos after each visit. We know she will take great care of Percy.”

About: Hello! I have plenty of experience with dogs. I have had at least one dog in my family for my entire life! Currently, I have my own Aussiedoodle, Effie. She has become my little sidekick and best friend over the last two years. I genuinely believe that our lives would not be the same without our canine pals and I very much look forward to adding yours to my daily/weekly routine as well! I'm currently only working part-time, so I have plenty of time to play with your pup! I have an extremely flexible schedule and am able to accommodate most last-minute changes. I will be caring for your pet with love, respect, and support! I will be proactively communicating with you, the owner, in order to give updates and reassurance. I will recognize the needs of the pets and respond accordingly. I will note any specific requests/instructions that you provide me. I also plan to be available for contact during my entire visits. I am able to take the dog to dog parks, on walks, or play inside- whatever is requested and preferred!
“Isaiah was great! He was reliable and got along great with my cats. I ended up fostering another cat temporarily, and Isaiah did a great job with that cat too. I’ll definitely hire him again when I go out of town for New Years!”

About: I have had over 10 years of experience, I have been taking care of all ages of dogs. I grew up fostering and adopting rescue dogs. I have experience with multiple different types of personalities of dogs and am able to handle dogs from 10-100 pounds. I am respectful of all spaces and will provide the best care. As a full-time registered nurse, I typically work Monday through Friday until 4:00 PM. Because of this, I’m generally available for evening drop-in visits, walks, and overnight care on weekdays, with greater flexibility on weekends. My work schedule can occasionally change, but I keep my Rover calendar up to date and will only accept bookings that I know I can fully commit to. If my availability ever varies, I’ll communicate with you as early as possible to ensure your pet receives the reliable, loving care they deserve. I would love to come to your home or I can bring the pet to my apartment with a dog park. I am consistent and hard working.
“Jessica was great, she checked on Gus last minute for me. Gus was having tummy issues and she was great at communicating what was going on. I hope she can help with Gus in the future!”

About: I've had pets my entire life, ranging from small and extra large dogs, cats, and even goats! My sweet German Shepherd passed away at the age of 14 and I miss her dearly. I taught her everything she knew as a puppy and was honored to help her through her senior years, keeping her happy and comfortable. I now have an English Setter named Finley who’s just under a year old. He’s learning so fast and loves making new friends! I work from home full time and have a pretty flexible schedule! This allows me to play with my puppy and let him out as he needs. Having another dog in our home would have near constant attention on them to make sure they’re safe and having a great day. I will show your space and fur babies the same respect that I would expect of my own. Should your pet need any specific treatment, let me know and I'd be happy to ensure their needs are met!
About: As a current dog owner in CHS, I know things can get "hairy" when you need to get away for the weekend (BOOOOO!). That's why my friendly pooch Lexi (she's a loving, rescued redbone mix that LOVES having furry friends around) and I are here for you! As a dog owner vet of 10+ years, I'm well trained in commands, walks, positive reinforcement, and responsibility. I work full time from home in my house in JI, so belly rubs and dog walks in between my conference calls are constant! I work for a large pet food manufacturer so everyone's used to barks on our zoom calls. I tend to take my dog out 3-4 times a day, including around block and to JI county park to walk the trails or do the dog park (if you approve of that). I take responsibility very seriously, and Lexi and I are here to treat your dog like family while you enjoy your time away! I work from home, so there isn't much unsupervised time. I can take your pet on long morning, afternoon, evening walks, and can hit dog parks and go out for pee breaks as much as needed. Dogs are allowed on my bed and couch, and can bark at people from my bedroom window below as much as they want. I have a crate if needed, and there is rarely more than ~2 hours away from the dogs unless you request full 24 hour care.
About: I am a former veterinary technician (nurse) that loves all animals! I have previous experience as a professional dog walker/pet sitter. I worked in the emergency department of multiple well established veterinary hospitals and general practices. I can assist with special needs animals and administering medications as needed. I have a small dog (14 year old spayed female Shetland sheepdog). I live on Folly Beach, so pups can expect beach walks and fun days out at all of the pet friendly establishments here (with permission!). I have had pets for years, so animal care is not only a part of my daily routine but my overall lifestyle revolves around them! I have lots of flexibility and time in my schedule so they will get lots of attention, walks and loving! I am very attentive and loving towards your pets as if they are my own. I am excellent at reading their body language/energy to make sure they are not stressed or uncomfortable and to vary my interactions with them based on their needs first and foremost. I am very clean and tend to leave places in better shape than they were when I showed up so you might get some light cleaning done too! :)
About: I have one cat named Libby. I have had her for about 4 years. Also, I've watched friends pets while they are out of town (dogs, cats) I have a fully time job but I work remotely which allows me to fit pet care into my routine before, during lunch, and after work. I will care for the pets based on the clients requests but this would include: feeding, taking out for bathroom breaks, and going on walks (if dogs) or playing with (if cats).
About: I have taken care of pets for over 15 years and love every minute of it! I have experience in caring for all different types of pets and sizes. I have a 90 lb. mutt of my own so big dogs are not a problem. I am available for walks, potty breaks, drop-in visits, field trips, and overnight boarding in my home. I have a flexible schedule, so you pet gets the care and attention it needs! I have a pup of my own who has never met a stranger! He is a well behaved, 4-year-old neutered male that loves all dogs and would enjoy some new friends to pal around with. Dogs are free to roam within the house with us and allowed on the furniture and bed - this is their stay-cation right?! Does your pup love the beach? If so, he or she is in luck! We are less than a mile from Folly and love taking trips there often!! However, if it's too hot or the rules don't permit, we have a wonderful area to take lots of walks to explore!
About: I have been taking care of puppies/dogs all of my life. Raised 3 puppies to adulthood. House trained, and taught them commands. Have done rover in Chicago and now getting back into it here in Charleston! I have a 7 year old spaniel mix and a 1 year old cat that are the best! I am currently in the process of getting recertified as an RBT and with the extra time between sessions would love to be able to let your pup out if you are unable to! I am an RBT and have breaks in between my sessions and would love to be able to help you out if you are unable to leave work during your day! I love every animal like it is my own and would love to meet your fur pup! Whatever your normal routine looks like, I am happy to do! From hyper to calm pups, I am more than happy to accommodate and make your pups visit fun and stimulating so they are good to go until you return home!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Folly Beach
Sarah provided drop-in visits for my pup, Kevin and she was fantastic! She was always extremely prompt if I had any questions about how things were going and provided pictures at every visit. Kevin can be a little anxious so I’m always a little nervous about leaving him, but I came home to a happy dog. I will definitely use Sarah again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Folly Beach with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
