About: Since childhood, I’ve always had a dog. I am very familiar with and LOVE senior pets. I love dogs of all ages and breeds. Because I have a flexible job, I have much more time to be with your animal, walk him/her and be outside in the fenced porch relaxing! Your dog will be just like me own, taken care of and loved. Time is all we have with our precious ones and I’m excited to meet yours! I am a personal fitness coach and studio owner so I start and end early. I have breaks between clients so my schedule allows me to be around much more than others. I work from home on camera or at the studio 2 miles away so I am always close. Most afternoons I am done at 1p and have the rest of the day with your pup. I do not work weekends at all and spend most weekends dedicated to my dog and the outdoors. Pets are loved on in my home. I allow them on the bed and couch if the owner is okay with that. I follow whatever parameters the pet parent gives me and apply tons of love. I have an inviting home and a lovely back fenced in patio. I also have a peaceful and safe neighborhood to walk dogs in. Your dog won’t be left alone on the weekends for more than an hour.

"The only complaint that I have about Jess is that my dogs just may love her more than they love me! Upon meeting Jess, her sweet and calm demeanor put us all at ease and I felt an instant connection with her. She took EXCELLENT care of my three Yorkies. She provided each of them with love & individualized care. I would not hesitate to hire her again and I would highly recommend her to anybody for pet sitting! We have used Jess multiple times through Rover since this initial review. My Yorkies are always happy to welcome her back into their pack when they see her. She offers thorough updates with photos….and, I never have to worry about my babies or Jess being inside of our home. She is so clean!!!! I lover her!!!! XOXOXO 🐾 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

About: I pet sat in highschool, taking care of dogs and cats. I had 6 dogs and 3 cats growing up, which taught me how to love and care for animals of different temperaments and ages. Having grown up riding horses and learning from my aunt, who works as a vet, I can promise safety and thoughtful care. I currently have an Australian shepherd puppy of my own as well! Im currently taking the time to study for my nurses aid state board exam and am not employed. My schedule is very flexible and open! I need about an hour in the morning and evening to walk/feed my dog, but am available otherwise! I have two separate homes to offer care at for your dog(s), both with fenced in yards and plenty of room to run! I have a large crate with a comfy bed inside if needed, and an abundance of toys. At client’s homes, I will follow instruction, be respectful of your living space and make sure to love on your pet!!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life and raised my current pup since he was 6 weeks old. I love dogs and would love to help in any way I can! I work a hybrid schedule but when I am in town I am flexible in my availability. Mornings and early afternoons are typically best for me. I can walk or run with your dogs as they need, my dog is very energetic so I’m used to it! I currently have one very energetic 2 year old lab. I spend my days playing with him and running him around. I have taken care of elderly and disabled dogs as well as puppies so I can adjust to any necessary care they need. Let me know how I can help!

Sara was a phenomenal cat sitter, and we were so grateful that she was able to accept our booking the same day after our original sitter canceled. She took wonderful care of our two cats while we were away, they warmed up to her quickly, and we truly appreciate everything she did! Thank you so much, Sara!

About: I've taken care of animals since I was a young adult, especially dogs. I lost my senior baby several months ago, so I miss the energy and love dogs bring to your life. I have experience with senior dogs needing special medications or specific instructions. I also have experience with young dogs that have high energy and are a bit rambunctious (I'm active, so we'll get along great). I'm very detail-oriented and communicative, so you'll never have to worry about your baby while they're with me! I currently work part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to spend with your baby. I'm fully available Wed-Fri/every other Saturday. The rest of the days I'm gone for about 3-4 hours at work. I'm still available to dog/housesit Sun-Tues, but I won't be home the whole day. I have a townhouse with a small fenced yard. I live alone in a non-smoking home with no pets, so your baby will get my full attention.

About: Hello! My name is Christie and I'm a trusted pet sitter who has been caring for family and friend's pets for 18 years, providing a safe and caring environment. I adhere to their regular feeding, walking, and medication schedule to ensure consistency while you're away. I'm skilled at administering diabetes shots to dogs and cats. I have experience caring for elderly and special needs dogs as well. Your pets will receive all the cuddles and playtime under my care. I take my dog on daily beach walks, but will confirm your dogs preferences before bringing them along. I'm open to long-term pet sitting and have been hired for out-of-state pet care. I have a 5-year-old, 15lb dog Stanley who accompanies me on all sitting adventures. He loves other dogs and spends his day mostly being a lounge lizard, loves his toys and daily walks. I work from home Monday through Friday so your pet will get a lot of attention and outside time while under my care. I take out pets every 2-4 hours for potty breaks and fresh air. I want your pet's schedule to continue 'as is' while you're away. I treat your home as if it were my own and respect your space and privacy while providing your pet with care and love.

About: 𝙳𝚘𝚐 𝚆𝚊𝚕𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐 • Dog walking can be extremely flexible for your puppy • Can walk certain time duration/miles needed • Questions/Concerns: Please let me know if your dog is reactive to seeing other dogs/people on walks! ────୨ৎ──── 𝙳𝚛𝚘𝚙 𝚒𝚗 𝚅𝚒𝚜𝚒𝚝𝚜 • Can stay in your home for as long as you like! • If your dog is high energy or an older dog that needs company, im more than happy to help:) • Questions/Concerns: Does their water need to be refilled if empty? Please let me know if I need to feed them (and how much) while I am there. If you have a high energy dog, would you prefer active engagement with the dog for the full session time? ────୨ৎ──── 𝙳𝚘𝚐𝚐𝚢 𝙳𝚊𝚢 𝙲𝚊𝚛𝚎/ 𝙱𝚘𝚊𝚛𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚂𝚌𝚑𝚎𝚍𝚞𝚕𝚎 •Environment: I do have 2 dogs and 1 cat! I have a 5 year goldendoodle (medium size dog) and a 3 month old puppy (medium/large size dog) My goldendoodle (Copper) is a very laid back and cuddly dog, he will most likely smell your dog when entering and then go about his business. My puppy (Soup) is a lot more high energy and enjoys rough housing and playing with dogs. So it’s like the best of both worlds! My cat (Fish) is not reactive to dogs, your dog can attempt to play with him or paw at him, he just doesn’t mind! I do live in an apartment, which is very open so I am able to watch your dog at all times during the day! A (XL) crate with a dog bed is always open and available to your dog if they want some alone time. My neighborhood is extremely walkable with a small dog park located in the back. Dog water is always available as well as various dog toys. ────୨ৎ──── 𝙿𝚘𝚝𝚝𝚢 𝙱𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚔𝚜 •Potty breaks are every 2 hours •This includes a brief walk where poop bags are available • The duration of the potty break is often 10 minutes or less • Questions/Concerns: People/Dogs are often walking around my neighborhood, is your dog reactive to this type of behavior? If so, how does your dog react (pulling on leash, barking, attempts to lunge at people/dogs) ────୨ৎ──── 𝙼𝚎𝚊𝚕 𝚃𝚒𝚖𝚎 • If a meal time schedule is given I will follow it • If not, your puppy will be fed once in the morning (8:00am) and once in the afternoon (5:00pm) •Water is always available :) • Questions/Concerns: If your dog requires more than 2 meals a day please let me know! Also if your dog is food aggressive and prefers to eat alone, please let me know if you prefer for them to eat inside the crate, or inside a private room! ────୨ৎ──── 𝙴𝚗𝚐𝚊𝚐𝚎𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚝 𝚃𝚒𝚖𝚎 •Multiple toys are always available in my household! This varies from soft chewers (plushie and stuffed animals) or super chewers (rough dog chew toys) • Throughout the day at various times I provide enrichment items for your puppy! • A frozen peanut butter lick mat is given, as well as frozen chicken/beef broth with multiple treats inside is also offered:) • Questions/Concerns: Is your dog protective over toys? If so how do they react (growling, biting?) If you don’t want your dog getting extra treats (peanut butter/frozen treats,) please let me know! And I promise I don’t mind if your puppy tears up one of my stuffed animals, we have so many extra lol ────୨ৎ──── 𝙰𝚍𝚍𝚒𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚊𝚕 𝚆𝚊𝚕𝚔𝚜 (5$) • If your dog needs some extra exercise additional walks are offered! • Certain miles/times for walking is extremely flexible • These are walks strictly for 1-1 time for your dog/extra exercise, potty break walks are already included when you book doggy day care/boarding! • On longer walks I always bring a portable water bowl for dogs! • Questions/Concerns: Does your dog have a thicker coat? If so, do they overheat? A typical day for dogs that stay in my home consists of… Potty Breaks Every 2 hours • This includes a short brief walk where poop bags are included • In my neighborhood other dogs and people are often walking (if your dog is unfriendly or may react to seeing this please let me know:) Meal time I have a 5 year old goldendoodle, which is fed once in the morning (8:00am) and once at night (5:00pm.) My puppy is fed once in the morning (8:00am), again in the afternoon (12:00pm), and at night (5:00pm) So, if your dog gets fed once throughout the day or multiple times, i’m extremely flexible! If your dog is food aggressive or prefers to eat alone please let me know, a private room is available or a closed off area (XL crate) is available! Engagement Time Multiple toys are always available in my household, whether your dog enjoys ripping toys, or gnawing on super chewer toys, they will always have options! Throughout the day, dogs are given a lick mat with peanut butter (frozen) or frozen chicken/beef broth with various treats inside. If your dog is has any allergies or you don’t want them getting extra treats please let me know!:) Also I do brush my dogs daily and if you would like me to brush your dog too, just message me! Walks If you would like me to give your pup some more 1-1 time, or extra exercise additional walks are offered ! I offer certain miles or time you need your dog to be walked. Additional walks, outside of potty breaks, do cost 5$ Dog Park Time • At 12:00pm all dogs are walked/driven to a small dog park located in my neighborhood. It is quite a small yard but I always bring extra toys (stuffie, ball, frisbee) to get them some extra exercise! A private room with a crate is always available for your pup if they start to feel overwhelmed or anxious. Water is always available for the dogs, we do specifically have the raised dog bowl to avoid the dogs spitting up their water as well.

About: I have grown up with pets my whole life and have a big passion for the safety and well being of all animals. I have been dog sitting since I was young and have continued to dog sit for regular clients in my hometown for many years before moving. I am friendly, reliable and understand that all dogs have different needs. I am happy to call and introduce myself prior, I look forward to meeting you and your pup(s)! My job is flexible since I make my own schedule majority of the time. I am happy to come over to walk your dog, play with them, give them cuddles or just check on their food/water. I am also happy to host at my apartment since I can spend lots of time with them. I am flexible to your needs! I am capable of any care needed for your pet and would be excited to do it! I understand that all dogs should be treated and cared for based on their own needs while ensuring safety at all times. About: I watch my parents dogs often and have grown up around animals for my whole life. I also watch friends dogs and will let them out during the week I work remotely, so most of the day when I don’t have any meetings with my clients, I am able to get out of the house and let out your dogs and play with them while you are away! Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Sullivans Island stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sullivans Island choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Sullivans Island with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sullivans Island. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
