“We have used Robin to watch our senior dog twice. We highly recommend her! She is so sweet to our old boy, and extremely patient with him. We are so grateful we found her and trust her with him and our home while we are away! Thanks Robin!”
“I feel blessed to have found Kristelyn to take care of my dogs. They are my spoiled babies and love her. She gives them love and takes them on walks while I'm out of town. I can tell from pics she sends they are having fun and are being treated with care.”

“Margie did a great job caring for my elderly beagle. She followed directions, sent me numerous photos, all at the last minute as my scheduled caregiver cancelled. I would use her again and highly recommend her!”

“Kelsy was great! Good communication and she is wonderful with my cat. I felt very comfortable and confident leaving home and having her check in on Courtney. I highly recommend Kelsey ans will definitely ask her to help again when i need to go out of town.”

“I needed a last minute sitter for my three cats, and Erika was there to the rescue!! Although cats are pretty easy and straightforward she still made it a priority (and during the holiday craziness) to come by and meet everyone before. She did a WONDERFUL job and I loved getting all the photos of the extra time her and her daughter spent playing with them too! She was extremely professional all the way to the end with her cards and some sweet treats for my fur-babies. I am so glad I found Erika and will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Daphne dropped in to take care of our two cats and our fish while we were on vacation. She arrived on-time and provided timely updates. Very grateful to have found such a responsible and caring sitter.”
“Richard always takes the best care of Puff! I know my pup is in great hands when I am away. I am a repeat customer and grateful for a reliable, trustworthy sitter!”

“Ken was great. He was always on time, sent lots of pictures with updates, and was happy to go above and beyond for our dog visits. Will definitely use him again when going on vacation.”
“Here’s a suggestion for your review: Jennifer was absolutely amazing in taking care of my cat while I was away! She was incredibly responsive and kept me updated with regular communication, which made me feel at ease. It was clear that she truly cares about animals, and my cat was well looked after. I would definitely recommend her to anyone in need of a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

About: Hi! I’m a big animal lover and have been around dogs and cats my whole life. I grew up helping train service dogs for my mom, so I learned early on about patience, consistency, and understanding how dogs think and communicate. My family also had cats and fostered kittens when I was younger, so I’m comfortable with pets of all ages and personalities. I also spent years pet sitting for neighbors growing up, which gave me even more experience caring for different animals and routines. In college, I volunteered with 4 Paws for Ability, where I helped work with service dogs in training and took part in hands-on trainings and education sessions. It was such a rewarding experience and deepened my love for working with animals. I’m currently finishing up grad school and will have a very flexible schedule while I study for my board exam, which means I have plenty of time to give your pets the attention they deserve! I haven’t been able to have a pet of my own while in school, so I’ve really missed being around animals, which is a big part of why I’m excited to be on Rover and spend time caring for yours! Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, or just keeping them company, I’ll treat your pets like my own. I know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pet with someone, and I’d love to help make that an easy, stress-free experience for you. Looking forward to meeting you and your pets! I currently have a very flexible schedule as I finish up grad school and prepare for my board exam. This gives me plenty of availability during weekdays and weekends to provide consistent care, whether that’s walks, drop-ins, or extended time with your pets. I’m able to adjust my schedule to meet your pet’s needs and make sure they get reliable, attentive care! When caring for pets in your home, I will focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I will follow instructions closely, whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or any specific needs your pet has. I aim to provide a calm, loving presence so your pets feel safe and comfortable while you’re away, and I always treat homes with respect and care!

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats my whole life. I’ve pet sit for neighbors and family friends, making sure their fluffy baby is fed, walked, and happily cared for. I’m looking to spend my summer making some extra money, while helping out more pet owners in my area! With summer starting, I have a lot of time on my hands. I want to spend it doing something I am truly passionate about. At least twice a day, I have over an hour to spend checking in and taking care of the pets. I will take the pets for walks, make sure their needs are met - feeding, letting out extra energy, keeping them company, and prioritizing their comfort
“Kelsey did an amazing job with Lani, she communicated with us frequently, sent lots of photos, and took lani for long walks all over our community! We will definitely be requesting her services again!”

About: I have been taking care of animals since I can remember. When I was in elementary school, my mom and I created our own business cards for pet sitting and distributed them to our neighbors. Ever since then, I have been walking, boarding, and caring for animals regularly. Additionally, I have volunteered at local animal shelters and worked as a pet care technician at a dog daycare. I also take care of my lovely dog Rosie every day :) My schedule is very flexible, and I am currently available any day of the week. I can accommodate most pet care plans, including holiday and nighttime visits. I treat all animals with respect and love. I make sure to be very attentive to an animal's needs and emotions, meaning I give them their space if they appear nervous or unsure, but also give them lots of love and attention if they are comfortable. When going on walks, the temperature outside and on the pavement is always taken into consideration, as well as the dog's comfort level with walking and being outside. My own dog gets very nervous being outside, so I understand how overwhelming even the smallest things can be for an animal. Overall, I can assure you that your pet will be treated like family, and I will make sure they are well taken care of while you are away.
About: I have grown up with pets my whole life and have a big passion for the safety and well being of all animals. I have been dog sitting since I was young and have continued to dog sit for regular clients in my hometown for many years before moving. I am friendly, reliable and understand that all dogs have different needs. I am happy to call and introduce myself prior, I look forward to meeting you and your pup(s)! My job is flexible since I make my own schedule majority of the time. I am happy to come over to walk your dog, play with them, give them cuddles or just check on their food/water. I am also happy to host at my apartment since I can spend lots of time with them. I am flexible to your needs! I am capable of any care needed for your pet and would be excited to do it! I understand that all dogs should be treated and cared for based on their own needs while ensuring safety at all times. If you are wanting your dog to stay at my apartment, we are very dog friendly here and have a fenced in play area for them.
“Autumn was a complete life savor. She checked-in on my pup Bella and helped out with my requests as Bella wasn’t feeling well which made me feel great, knowing my girl was in good hands!!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
