“Elizabeth is amazing. She’s extremely responsive, reliable, thoughtful, and great with dogs. She treated my Doberman as her own and they had an amazing time together. I felt very safe with her taking my son and very happy with her service. I highly recommend her!”

“Karrigan has quickly become our go-to overnight sitter and daily dog walker. She sends pics, writes sweet notes about Tucker, and has been super communicative and wonderful. We’ll continue booking her regularly to take care of our pup!”

“Gabby has been outstanding. She is honest, reliable and very caring of animals. I was in a tricky situation and overseas and she came in ready to help, and making me feel very much at ease taking care of Annie and Martina.”

“Kyler has been so great with our new pup! He provides detailed notes about each walk, and I love seeing cute pictures of Louie while I'm at work. I would highly recommend him!”

“Daphne did an amazing job with Bogey! He can be high-stress and aggressive toward other dogs, and she took special care to stay clear when others were around and ensure he had relaxing, enjoyable walks. I was able to relax knowing my guy was in good hands, and I can now look forward to future travels when I have walks booked with Daphne. Many thanks!!”
“Always on time. Checks for accidents and cleans them up for me. She refills his water without asking. And brings out my trash on Thursdays because I work double shifts. Erika is the best!”

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats my whole life. I’ve pet sit for neighbors and family friends, making sure their fluffy baby is fed, walked, and happily cared for. I’m looking to spend my summer making some extra money, while helping out more pet owners in my area! With summer starting, I have a lot of time on my hands. I want to spend it doing something I am truly passionate about. At least twice a day, I have over an hour to spend checking in and taking care of the pets. I will take the pets for walks, make sure their needs are met - feeding, letting out extra energy, keeping them company, and prioritizing their comfort
About: I’ve grown up in a family that always had dogs, and I’ve been hands-on in helping raise and care for them throughout my life. I’ve also provided pet sitting and support for friends and family over the years, giving me experience with a variety of pets and personalities. I currently have two cats, and my family has a dog, so caring for animals is truly part of my everyday life. I’m passionate about giving pets the attention, comfort, and care they deserve, and I’ll treat every customer’s pet with the same love and commitment I give my own. Currently in between full-time jobs for the Holidays so my schedule is fairly flexible for the foreseeable future. I am available every day during the week. I own 2 indoor cats, which require a lot of love and attention. One is 2 years old and one is a kitten, only 5 months old! they have become best friends over the last couple months!
About: I've grown up as my neighborhood's dog walker, building years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages and needs. I've completed numerous house-sitting stays of up to two weeks, ensuring pets stay comfortable and well cared for in their own homes. l've raised and trained my own puppy, and I also cared for my elderly dog for several years when he was both blind and deaf, which taught me patience, attentiveness, and compassion. I also grew up caring for three cats. In college, I volunteered at my local animal shelter, regularly walking and caring for dogs of all temperaments. I'm kind, fun, and responsible, and I always make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and happy in my care! I'm currently working three days a week so I have flexibility to bring your pets for walking, play with them, or give them whatever care they need! I am typically available Friday through Monday but I am usually available another day or two during the week and for a short amount of time every evening. I take time to learn each pet's habits, preferences, and any special needs so I can care for them in a way that feels familiar and stress-free.I'm always attentive to safety by securing doors, using proper leash practices, and keeping a clean, calm space.I also stay in close communication with owners at their request, providing updates and photos so they can feel confident and at ease while their pet is in my care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
