About: I have been taking care of my own dogs since I was 12, and I’ve always loved training them to do cool tricks! I also, since about 14, have been taking care of other people’s dogs I am not a professional dog trainer, but I do have experience (from training my own pup) in puppy/dog training. I have my pup, Dove, who is a 9-month-old Swiss Shepherd. She is super sweet and loves to play and be outside. I also have 3 cats and 1 kitten. I just moved to Charleston. It fits in perfectly with my schedule! I don't have any other jobs currently, so I have plenty of free time to hang out with your pets! In my home, pets will not be left unattended and will be walked with leashes and harnesses. In their homes, I will always make sure doors and gates are locked and secured properly, also watching out for any signs of discomfort at all.

About: I have a big fenced in backyard where I spend most of my day working, so your dog will have plenty of space to run around. I’ve taken care of/had pets of all kinds my entire life, I think they are just an absolute joy to be around and always seem to brighten my day. I have experience with pets of all ages and would consider myself quite good at training. I also tend to get along with even the most timid or grumpiest of pets, it’s all about the energy you give off. I work from home as a furniture maker, I’m usually outside working in my backyard all day. I work for myself so my schedule is very flexible. I have always enjoyed being around animals, I worked at a doggy daycare and have spent much time volunteering at animal sanctuaries. I hope to open my own one day! Your dog/cat will get treated like my best friend :)

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and have pet sat for family, friends, and neighbors since I was a kid! I fostered a sweet pittie mix for a few months while I was in college as well. I work part-time a restaurant, so the rest of my days are pretty open! I work shifts that are less than 8 hours so I can play with and check on your pet before/after. I will be a grad student starting next month as well, but only will have class two days a week. I have a car and am happy to drive to your home! I am happy to feed, play with, and crate pets in your home! I am happy to follow any routine/guidelines to best serve you and your pet!

I love spending time with animals and hope to provide a bright and loving environment for your fur babies! Would love to do what I can to make your pet comfortable with a new person in their space. Happy to meet with you before booking and take your pets' lead!

About: Hi, I'm Natalie! I've been pet sitting for over 10 years! I love all dogs and cats big and small, nothing is too big of a challenge for me! I have two dogs, two cats, and had a sweet kitten who sadly passed from cancer way too young, so I can help with sick/special needs pets. I can do drop in visits, walks, in home care and house sit if needed. I am extremely dependable and have glowing references from long term clients (and their pets too). I would love to meet your pets and make sure they're well taken care of while you're away! I love sending picture and/ or video updates and I always reply pretty quickly. I am not afraid to ask questions when I need to and always have the pets best interest in mind:) Right now post graduation, I am looking for a full-time job so I have plenty of time on my hands to take care of your pets! I usually like to stay in a clients home if the pet requires overnight care since I have 4 animals at home already! When I do stay the night, I make sure to follow the pet's daily routine so they feel as comfortable as possible while missing their owners!

About: I have been taking care of my own dogs and cats all my life as well as caring for friends/family’s pets for 15 years, I have done a lot of volunteer work at two shelters and fostered some until they were adopted or when they were healing from injury or sickness. I have experience with all ages, conditions, and bizarre situations! between house pets, farm animals, exotics, wife life, birds, reptiles, small pets Ive done it all! I am cautious, responsible, and reliable because animals are my true passion, and I cant help but spend extra time with each one- their company makes my day. it’s very important to me that your pet doesn’t get bored or anxious while his or her owner is away. I have a dental hygiene license and certification in CPR (human and animal🙂) and use my knowledge from that as well. I am currently taking classes for animal behavior and caretaking as well. I have taken care of newborns, seniors, the blind/deaf, the mildly sick, the terminally ill, and many other health issues. I have a clean driving record and pet seats in my car as well as carriers and harnesses of all sizes along with anything your pet could possibly need. toys, bowls, slow feeders, strollers, beds, grooming supplies, large and small crates, separation gates, pet cameras, puppy pads, doggie bags, seatbelts, light up and reflective gear for night walks, etc. same for cats!! . I can always work around your schedule to be available when needed! Feel free to let me know if you need plants watered, mail brought in, trash put out, supply run, anything. I will be your fur baby/babies’ new best friend! If I am doing doggie day care or boarding at my house, i have a large fenced in yard and tennis court. I have 2 small chihuahuas and 5 cats, and a fish. all completely harmless, but I usually keep my dogs separated on the opposite side of the house because they mostly sleep. The only dogs I cannot board are dogs that chase cats because it is too hard to separate them and it causes them stress. I will keep in contact with you as often as you please and send pictures and videos of our time together. Your dog or cat or any other pet will be in excellent and loving hands!! I have additional references fhrough other businesses I have worked for or still work for as well as my own individual clients upon request, which is what most of my clients are. And if you’d like even more references I can provide dental hygiene references, business management, and property rental management. I will also provide you with emergency contact information and anything else you may need. Reviews on Wag, trusted house sitters, care, pet sitter, coastal cat care, Meowtel, Charleston sloth and exotics As of now my schedule is adaptable 99% of the time to accommodate your needs. About: I volunteer at the Charleston Animal Society and work primarily with dogs. I have worked with staff on training dogs as well as making enrichment toys. I have worked for different families to help care for their dogs while they are at work or out of town. I currently volunteer at the Charleston Animal Society but that is flexible so I can make time to be available to take care of your pets. Since I have 2 cats, I would care for client's pets in their home. I treat all animals as if they are my own and how I want my cats cared for when I am out of town.

I was very nervous to use Rover but since I have to stay late at work occasionally, I wanted an option for my dog. Sam has been so great with Charlie. He’s very flexible and communicative. He’s been letting her out once a week and it’s really put my mind at ease. He always sends me a picture and gives me a little update. He was also very patient and understanding of me being nervous to let someone else take care of my dog. I know my dog Charlie really likes him as well.

Rowan loves her "Auntie Kristina" as we love to call her. Kristina is so loving and kind with our pup - she loves her like its her own dog. We trust her implicitly to take care of our pup when we're not around. Rowan can be shy and hesitant to walk people (other than us) and Kristina is consistently patient! If she can't get Row on a walk, she makes sure she still gets some good backyard time and a ton of snuggles. 10/10 would recommend Kristina for all your dog needs!

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Woodhaven. On Rover:

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
