“Kathy, her husband Gabe and pup Jasper were so great! Our pup Lou can be shy and they made him feel comfortable and loved. Kathy was super communicative and was wonderful to work with.”

“Kathryn was fantastic! My dog Sully made himself at home as soon as he got to her house. Kathryn is super nice, has great communication, and kept me updated about Sully throughout my travels. She was also open to keeping him an extra night last minute so is flexible and accommodating.”

“Fran was so awesome. She babysat my little gremlin Grub while I went overseas. I don’t live in Charleston; it was just the city I happened to be flying out of and I was so worried about who could look after my dog in a place where I didn’t have any friends or family. I found Fran on rover and couldn’t be happier! Her home is so sweet and comfy, with beautiful, well-maintained grounds for safe dog walks all around it. Fran was a joy to talk to and work with; she did an excellent job of keeping up communication throughout my travels, despite some technical issues on my end. I could tell my pup was treated like Fran’s own baby during her stay and I am so grateful 🥰”

“Zach was wonderful with our two dogs! He was responsive, sent pictures and updates, and really attentive with them. He even took them up to their favorite dog park. We'll definitely have Zach watch our pups again!”

“Connie was amazing with sassy she kept us informed of how sassy was settling in and she sent pictures daily. She took her own walks, gave medication if needed and sassy felt immediately safe with her. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone. Had everything packed up when it was time for us to pick her up.”

“Alyssa was phenomenal! My dog can be a bit energetic (understatement…) upon meeting new people, but Alyssa stayed super calm while my dog ran in circles around her house until she finally wore herself out. Alyssa was kind and gracious and sent lots of pictures and loved on my crazy pup like she was her own! I truly cannot recommend her enough!”

“Sasha is the absolute best! She takes such amazing care of my dog, does all sorts of things he loves like taking long walks and couch cuddles, and sends the cutest photo and video updates. This is my third time booking with her and honestly I would rearrange my travel around her schedule if she was busy when I needed a sitter!! Highly recommend!”

“Great couple with perfect fenced back yard and neighborhood with loads of kids who love dogs! Kimberly and Dylan were wonderful sitters for Ebony. She had so much fun!!”

“As expected, Large Henry has returned from vacationing with White Henry (and Richard) and he’s happy, healthy, the right kind of exhausted, and all too eager to silently shame us for not providing him with the luxuries and indulgences that have been his norm for the past week. No more multiple meandering walks and exploratory trips to the dog park, no more constant companionship provided by buddy-dogs 24-7… he’s quite disappointed to be stuck with us in his day-to-day spoiled events… apparently he’s had a taste of how the elite dogs live, and now he’s having a hard time going back. Thanks a lot, Richard. (Seriously though- thanks for flexibility and patience, more useful in dealing with Henry’s owners than managing dozens of dogs, I would imagine).”

“Gabriela was amazing! Mav will definitely be going back to her. She kept me updated with photos and little messages, took Mav on so many walks and was so accommodating with travel disruptions! Always a good feeling when your dog comes home happy and healthy from the dog sitters! 🙂”
About: I’m a registered nurse with a lifelong love for dogs, which means safety, reliability, and attention to detail are always my top priorities. I had my own dog for 14 years, so I have extensive experience caring for senior dogs, including administering medications, recognizing changes in behavior or health, and providing extra patience and comfort. Having moved here from Philly, I truly miss having a dog of my own, so I treat every pet I care for like family. I’m calm, observant, and dependable, and I’m especially comfortable with routines, special instructions, and pets who need a little extra care or reassurance. Whether it’s walks, overnight stays, or drop-ins, your dog will be safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine. As a nurse, I work three 12-hour shifts per week, which gives me several full days off where I’m completely available for walks, drop-ins, and overnight care.I plan my schedule carefully and only accept bookings I can fully commit to, so your pet will always get consistent attention, exercise, and care. I’m happy to work around your dog’s routine and communicate clearly so you always know your pet is in good hands. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or yours. As a nurse, I’m highly attentive, detail-oriented, and trained to notice subtle changes in behavior, appetite, or energy levels. I carefully follow all routines and instructions provided, including feeding schedules, medications, leash preferences, and house rules. In a client’s home, I respect your space and keep your pet’s environment clean, calm, and familiar. In my home, pets are supervised, never left unattended for long periods, and kept in a secure, comfortable setting. I use leashes at all times outdoors unless otherwise instructed and avoid dog parks unless explicitly approved. I prioritize clear communication and will provide regular updates, photos, and messages so you can feel confident and at ease while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness always come first.

About: I have a 6 year old dog and have fostered dozens of pups of all ages and breeds. Fostering has taught me how to adapt to new dogs with different needs and I have plenty of experience with young puppies. I work from home so I have plenty of time and flexibility to care for your pets. I’m very active and typically take my dog on long walks and adventures around town (beach, parks, walks). I have a very large fenced in yard that’s great for play time! I have an adult male dog that loves other dogs and is regularly exposed to new friends in the house because I foster. Pets are allowed on furniture and beds in my house.
About: I've had pets my entire life, ranging from small and extra large dogs, cats, and even goats! My sweet German Shepherd passed away at the age of 14 and I miss her dearly. I taught her everything she knew as a puppy and was honored to help her through her senior years, keeping her happy and comfortable. I now have an English Setter named Finley who’s just under a year old. He’s learning so fast and loves making new friends! I work from home full time and have a pretty flexible schedule! This allows me to play with my puppy and let him out as he needs. Having another dog in our home would have near constant attention on them to make sure they’re safe and having a great day. I will show your space and fur babies the same respect that I would expect of my own. Should your pet need any specific treatment, let me know and I'd be happy to ensure their needs are met!

“Christina was wonderful! She was able to jump in and take care of our rabbit with less than a day’s notice! She sent lots of updates and photos of him and went above and beyond to make sure he felt loved while we were away! Highly recommend!”

“This was Caroline’s second time taking care of Percy. She is great! Very communicative and sends pictures and videos after each visit. We know she will take great care of Percy.”

“Audrey took a major stress point off of my shoulders by checking on my cat Tyrion. Her service was top notch and from her first text, I knew she was very engaged with his needs. She went above and beyond to communicate the status of his visit which was important to me. I recommend her highly and I plan on booking her again the next time Tyrion needs some TLC.”

“Kathryn was really sweet and welcoming to our two pups! Our chocolate lab played with her golden all day and was worn out which we were thankful for! Will definitely be using her again.”

“Christina took great care of our two boys. We received multiple pictures of their stay. She even used our ThunderShirt during a thunderstorm with Cash. We would love to use her more often if we were local. She will be our go-to sitter when we are in town.”

About: Hiii! Whether it’s your pups dream staycation, drop-in visits with extra loves, or puppy training needs- you’ve found your girl! I am an avid animal lover and have won over every doggie heart and have a special touch with even the craziest of kitties. I was fostering puppies from the Colleton County shelter before I joined Rover, and I can assure you after rehabbing, training and finding those puppies their forever homes; your animals will be a walk in the park! Personally, I have two dogs 9 & 5 and one kitty. My older pup had a back injury when she was 2, so I’ve dealt with all types of special care for pups who need a bit of assistance as well as administering medications, etc. My animals are my children and I would take care of someone else’s babies as my own! 🐾 I work from home and the pups always have access to go outside to the fenced in backyard! I focus on long walks or adventures in the evenings that get my pups worn out leading into the following day while I’m at working. The huge fenced in backyard is a huge bonus for activity throughout the day!! Bare minimum one walk a day, feeding morning and night, my dogs roam the house while I’m gone but they are trained and older- I can follow instructions easily with preferred schedules(:
About: I have experience with all dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes from dog walking, in-home dog sitting, daily check-ins for potty breaks during the work week or while you’re away on vacation. I am an ICU nurse who works 3 days a week so I am available up to 4 days a week depending on my schedule! I am very flexible. I live in a house with a large fenced in backyard for your dog to play in and have easy access to go outside and use the bathroom. I also have a nice back deck with a screened in porch for any pooches who like to sunbathe!

“Anne was great! This was the first time I brought my dog to another house and I was relieved within 15 minutes of dropping her off when I received some cute photos of how my dog was warming up to the new environment.”

About: I am a reliable and passionate animal lover who has had pets my whole life. I currently care for my black cat, Bagheera, and my golden retriever, Duke, and I also lease a horse named French, which has strengthened my responsibility and consistency in animal care. I am highly organized, dependable with time, and committed to following all instructions carefully to ensure every animal is safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I am home most of the time or taking care of my own pets. I am available pretty much anytime during the day and any day of the week. If you are working late I am available to take your pup out or feed your cat. I have a car and assure you I will be on time for any task. I give both of my pets lots of love and attention, I love spending time with my pets and making sure they are taking care of. I am able to walk, visit, or feed any pet. Giving my pets love means giving other peoples pets love because it can be difficult not being around your pet/owner and I am here to alleviate some of that stress. I take care of my pets with diligence and will do the same for you!

About: I’m a lifelong pet owner who grew up caring for a Shih Tzu–Poodle mix (Ava!) and now care for two dogs: a young Shetland Sheepdog (Maple!) and a senior Border Collie rescue (Skye!). I’m experienced with high-energy breeds, seniors, daily routines, medication reminders, walks, playtime, and lots of love. I’m patient, attentive, and treat every pet like family. Also a proud golden doodle aunt - 70 lb, Ms. Ella!! This is my full-time role! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine since I already care for my own dogs. I’m used to structured schedules for feeding, walks, playtime, and downtime, and I’m happy to adapt to your pet’s specific needs and routine. I prioritize safety, consistency, and clear communication. We have a fenced in yard, lots of room to run, and have crate trained before! I follow all care instructions closely, keep pets secure on walks, and maintain clean, calm environments. Whether in my home or yours, I respect your space and ensure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved at all times.
About: I've always loved animals ever since I was a child and have had pets ever since. I always felt animals make our lives better and my 3 pets have done nothing but enrich my life. I rescued my cat Drogo when he was a kitten 9 years ago, Link my second cat a year and a half ago, and Kai, my puppy, 6 months ago. All of my animals get along and my puppy is always looking for a play mate! I've done dog and cat sitting for both family and friends for about 10 or so years now when I lived in PA and would love to continue that now that I'm finally settled in Mt. Pleasant! I am in the tech industry which has allowed me to work from home during the week/daytime. I do not work on weekends which will allow me to focus more of my time on your fur babies! I have a decent size 1 bedroom apt but prefer smaller animals as a half a 4 lb puppy and 2 cats. If you would like me to board out of your home I would need to bring my puppy Kai. I take Kai potty every hr and a half 2 hrs and walk him twice a day so your dog would be on my dog's schedule unless told otherwise. My cats are very nice to other animals and so is Kai, again he would love a playmate!
About: I’ve been caring for animals of all kinds for over a decade. I have cared for cats, dogs, guinea pigs, bearded dragons, parrots, bunnies, and fish. I love animals and have a very open schedule, so I am looking to spend my time doing something i love- caring for animals! I have cared for animals of all personalities and types, and have experience handling medications and fixing invisible fences as well! Im currently a fresh grad and job searching so I can very flexible. I want to keep working while i search for my next move in life! I live in an apartment downtown, so I do not have a yard. That being said, it is better for me to house-sit than board, but I am open to boarding as i live near several parks like Marion square!

About: Hi! I'm Rachel, a recent College of Charleston graduate with a B.A. in psychology. I have spent the last 16 years raising and caring for dogs. Animals have always been a significant part of my life, as my family dog even helped me take my first steps. I started dog sitting in my neighborhood when I was 10 years old and haven't stopped since. One neighbor invited me over every Tuesday to meet her new foster puppy of the week, which is how I adopted my first puppy, Rocky. During my senior year of high school, I got my second dog, Sadie, who has taught me as much as I have taught her. My experience extends beyond my pets, as friends and family come to me for help with training their new puppies and to take care of their pets while they are away. Whether you have a playful puppy or a sweet senior, I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all ages. If you're looking for a sitter who truly understands dogs and will love your pet as if they were my own, I’d love to help! I am currently looking for job opportunities so my schedule is wide open. Let me know what works best for you and your pet, and I will be happy to accommodate your needs. I live in a two-bedroom condo with my 9y/o dog Sadie, who loves having new friends around. I also have a neighborhood dog park just a short walk away, where I take her to run around and get her energy out. We also have lots of great walking paths and parks around us to explore. Whether your dog stays with me or I care for them in your home, I can follow your routines and will prioritize their safety and comfort above all else.

About: I am a true dog lover and understand how important it is to find a reliable, responsible, loving person to take care of your dog while you are away, without worry. If you feel comfortable with it, I would love to take your dog for walks along the beach or at one of the great county parks, or if you’d prefer, we can just relax at the house with neighborhood walks. I am a very responsible, tentative, loving, and patient person and would take the ultimate care of your dog. I will follow your dog’s daily routine and don’t mind sharing my couch and bed if that is what your dog is used to. The dogs I care for are nothing short of family, and I will treat your fur baby as I would want mine to be treated, providing a fun and safe environment. I work from home which allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, playtime, walks and pets. My boyfriend and I walk our dogs almost every morning before he goes to work at ~9am and almost every evening when he gets home ~6pm. I have a fenced in yard and two fur-babies to entertain your pup. I have a crate (from when my dog was younger) that's available if needed, but you can be assured I will NEVER use the crate without your request or consent.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. From walking, to dropping in, to overnight stays, I’ve done it all! I have experience with dogs as young as 8 weeks old and as old as 18 years old. After spending 2 years at home on Long Island after graduating from USC, I decided to return to my favorite place - Charleston! I’m now living on Mount Pleasant and working from home for an advertising agency in Manhattan. However, I can never be too busy and I would love to take care of your animals in my free time. I have a very organized apartment. I am an incredibly responsible caretaker and punctual to your schedule and your dog’s needs. I work from home so I am able to provide thorough care.
About: I’ve cared for dogs all my life and have extensive experience with older pups who need medication or extra patience. My home is child-free, and fenced in, and I work from home, so your dog will never be left alone for long. Whether your pup loves walks or just wants a peaceful place to rest, they’ll be treated like family here. We recently rescued a cute scruffy mixed terrier named Arthur. He LOVES all dogs so if you’re looking for companionship for your pup, he’s your guy! (Pups in the profile photo are our babies we lost in 2024 and 2025. Sitting thru Rover over the holidays helped us heal enough to adopt again in Feb❤️) Because I work from home, I’m able to give dogs plenty of attention and breaks throughout the day. I follow their normal routine as closely as possible—mealtimes, walks, meds, and all. You can count on regular updates and photos so you know your pup is happy, relaxed, and well cared for. Your dog’s comfort and safety are always my top priorities. My fenced-in yard gives them space to sniff and stretch safely, and all walks are on-leash in our quiet neighborhood.
“Gabriella watched my little fur baby while I took in the sites in downtown Charleston. She is very close to the sightseeing and it was very convenient. She took good care of him and I will definitely be booking her again when I go back.”

“Kathryn was fantastic! My dog Sully made himself at home as soon as he got to her house. Kathryn is super nice, has great communication, and kept me updated about Sully throughout my travels. She was also open to keeping him an extra night last minute so is flexible and accommodating.”

“Zach was wonderful with our two dogs! He was responsive, sent pictures and updates, and really attentive with them. He even took them up to their favorite dog park. We'll definitely have Zach watch our pups again!”

Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness always come first.
“Always lovely to have our Charlotte to stay with Lea & Luna + Copper!!! She always get the best care and best friends!!!! So much love & so much fun, we will definitely come back!!!”

“Could not have found a warmer, more welcoming and attentive home than what John provided for our little dog, Ozzie, for 3 nights in May. It was our 1st time leaving him somewhere-it was hard, but they sent us regular updates with photos and messages showing Ozzie making himself quite at home! It was such a blessing to know that he was in the best of care. Will absolutely use again-can’t recommend enough!!!”

“Gracen and her husband did a fantastic job watching our dog for the weekend. He must have been very active all weekend because he slept for an entire day after we got home! Gracen was very responsive and extremely kind and helpful. We absolutely will be booking with them again!”

“Fantastic first experience with Rover. Hands down 100% recommend Yvette and John for overnight dog stays. They clearly love taking care of dogs and treat each one like their own. Their large fenced in, shaded yard is perfect for dogs running around. They sent updates and photos keeping us up to date on her acclimation to a new setting. They have 2 dogs of their own that get along beautifully with others. A great social setting - fantastic experience. Thank you for a fabulous stay!”

“Our two older boys came with us to Charleston for a family vacation. Our accommodations were not pet friendly but I wanted them to be nearby as they can be anxious when alone for extended periods. Anna and her husband were great and kept us updated on our boys all week. I could tell they felt right at home. She made sure they had what they needed and her home was great for my boys and similar to what they were used to at home. She sent me frequent updates and photos throughout the week. We appreciate her loving them like her own and will definitely use her services again if in the area with the pups! I recommend her for any family who wants their pups to be safe and happy while they are vacationing- I had peace of mind the whole time we were away!”

About: I’ve had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember, ranging from energetic puppies to calm seniors, and everything from small breeds to large ones. That variety has taught me how to adjust my approach with puppies vs older dogs. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and just being attentive to each dog’s individual personality and needs. I have a very flexible schedule right now with lots of availability throughout the week, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends. I’m happy to accommodate walks, drop-ins, or boarding stays on short notice, and can adjust easily around your pet’s routine and any specific timing needs you have. I live in a house without a yard, so daily walks are part of our routine to make sure dogs get plenty of exercise and outdoor time. I don’t currently have a crate on hand, but I’m attentive and hands-on, giving your pet my full focus without other pets around to compete for attention.
