“Alexandra is amazing! She’s so kind, thoughtful, responsive, reliable, and hard working! My Doberman had an amazing time with her and he was definitely well taken care of. He came back exhausted (in the best way possible), which made me a very happy camper! I highly recommend her!”

“Bailey took our vizsla, Roxy, for a couple of outings to the dog park during a complete heat wave. Roxy had a blast and Bailey was very mindful of the heat and made sure that there was plenty of shade and water during their outings.”

About: I’ve taken care of just about every kind of pet. I have plenty of experience caring for and loving animals. From puppies/kittens to senior dogs/cats I just graduated so my schedule is very flexible! I’m open to morning, midday, and nighttime care. Any day of the week works for me. I have a fenced in yard but prefer clients’ home visits! My golden retriever loves other dogs if home care is necessary. I am comfortable with giving animals medication if that fits your pet’s needs.

About: I have been working as a veterinary technician since 2023. I believe it’s very important to advocate for those without a voice. My knowledge, skills and intuition allow me to give the best care possible. I grew up taking care of various animals including dogs, cats, and birds. From feathered to furred and all creatures in between, I make animal caretaking a routine. I work part-time on the weekends, so my availability during the week is open as needed. Friday and Saturday I am available morning and evenings (before and after work). I will adjust to whatever your pet needs within your home. Whether they need playtime or naps, walks or backyard entertainment, I can comply accordingly.
“Richard is the best. My dog loves him. He’s always quick to respond, easy to communicate with and is so trustworthy. We moved due to my work assignment ending but if we move back, we will absolutely choose Richard to be our Rover again!!!! Thank you!!!!!! 🙏🏼”

“Always on time. Checks for accidents and cleans them up for me. She refills his water without asking. And brings out my trash on Thursdays because I work double shifts. Erika is the best!”

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was a little girl. Family pets, friends and neighbors. I lost our two shih tzus awhile back and life just took over. I started a work from home job this year and realized that I would love a companion but with traveling, I can't make the commitment to own ourselves. I would love to take care of your furry friends while you're away and ensure they are loved and safe so that you can enjoy your time away. I work from home full time and I have two young children who adore dogs. Your furry friends will have plenty of walks, treats, snuggle time and love from our entire family. I have a large backyard and walking trails throughout our neighborhood. I also have a dog park in the neighborhood. Our family loves animals and we treat them as one of our own. I will send pictures as much as you'd like and keep them safe and happy.
About: I'm a dog mom to two — Rip, my pug, and Chani, my mixed breed — so your pet is walking into a home that already loves dogs unconditionally.I'm experienced with different breeds, sizes and temperaments, and I genuinely love spending time with animals. Daily walks are a given here, not an afterthought. Whether your dog needs extra attention, a slow pace or just a lot of love, they'll get it. I'm attentive, reliable and the kind of person who sends unprompted update photos because I know you're thinking about them. I'm home most of the day with a flexible schedule, so your dog gets real attention — not just a quick check-in. Walks, cuddles and playtime are all part of the deal. My home is calm, pet-friendly and already set up for dogs of all sizes. I make it a priority to learn each pet's routine, preferences and quirks before they arrive so the transition feels as easy as possible. Your dog is never left unsupervised for long, always has access to fresh water, and gets regular walks and plenty of attention throughout the day. I treat every pet the way I'd want mine to be treated — with patience, consistency and a lot of love."
“I am very thankful to have found Jennifer. Communication has been clear, responsive and positive. Stormy really enjoys her walks and play time with Jennifer. It has given me such a peace of mind knowing she is in caring hands while I am away at work. We are very fortunate.”

About: I have a dog of my own that I adopted from a shelter. He is FULL of energy so I’m used to long dog walks I am a nurse so I have 4 days off a week. I love going on walks on my days off and love the company of furry friends I can come to your house and take your dog on walks around your area! I will make sure they get their potty breaks and can walk for any requested time.
About: I have three huskies at home. Taking care of them requires a lot of attention, energy, and patience. (Heavy on the patience LOL) My boyfriend also has a boxer, so I have plenty of experience walking, feeding, and playing with large energetic dogs. I am always looking to walk, house sit, or just have a playdate with your fur baby! I am always willing to anything to provide a great life for our babies. Whether that is a walk, playing, or giving them their favorite treats! I keep safety and care for our babies by simply following the rules! If specific rules or instructions are placed ( ex: certain ways to feed your dog or cat) the. I follow them to a tee. Before letting dogs out I always look to see if there are any wild animals before letting them out. (One of my huskies brought me an opossum. Was not fun🙈) Small actions like these provide safety and protection for our fur babies.
About: I’ve helped take care of our family dog for 9 years now. I love how loyal dogs are and making them feel safe. I can dog walk or dog sit. I can take care of your pet twice a week in your home. Depending on how active your pet is and my school schedule that week, I can dog walk multiple times a week. I will take care of your pet by loving them. That means cuddling with them and giving them my full attention. I’ll also take them out for potty time and walks regularly.
About: From age 7, I grew up caring for abandoned dogs (mostly unwanted hunting dogs), cats... and one time a peacock. I have two pups of my own, a Bull-whip and a Dutch shepherd I currently work on a part-time/contract basis as a therapist. This allows me to have time throughout mornings and evenings to walk or drop in on pups. I am respectful of others' spaces and recognize your home is not just a house, but a castle for you and your family members- including the furry ones.
“Hailey gave my dogs a great walk on a day when they really needed some extra love and attention! Her availability last minute, promptness and communication was much appreciated!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Whitehall Terrace
Alex has been a 12/10 and I would have her take care of my girls always. She is so attentive, caring and just overall loving of animals. She did more than she had to to make sure my girls were comfortable and I am beyond thankful for her help. Highly recommend as an awesome sitter, but most of all as an extremely reliable person.

Breanna walked my pup for me while I was at work for the past 3 years and I could not have asked for a better sitter! My dog absolutely loved her and she took such good care of her! Life has taken us in opposite directions and I'm so sad to lose her. I highly recommend her if you want someone who is going to love on your pup like they're her own!!!

Julia was fantastic with Louie. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly great with dogs. Louie came back happy and well cared for, and I really appreciated her professionalism and attentiveness. I’d absolutely recommend her and would be happy to book with her again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
