“Cannot say enough good things! Leigh Ann was so prompt with responding and helped me out with dog-sitting when I was in a bind. Her and her family are so sweet and took such great care of my fur baby- I know she had so much fun based on how pooped out she is now! Would 100% recommend and use again!”

“Gaelle is so sweet and patient with our puppy! So trustworthy and we are very grateful for all she does! Thank you for everything Gaelle! Not only do you provide our puppy a safe place to stay and play but you also give us the peace of mind that he is in great hands while we are at work! Sincerely, Steve Isabel & Thor”

“Delia and her husband are great! They have become family to Lucy dog and I. They take care of Lucy at a moments notice. If I could give her 10 🌟 I would.”

About: Have always had a dog. Have fostered many puppies. My own dog was a shop dog and very well behaved. She is the perfect companion for any dog and would help them enjoy their stay. I am recently retired and have the time and energy to care for your dog along with my own. I am mostly home except for when I play tennis or go to the store. I live in a very dog friendly condo, pet stations, dog wash, etc... there is a green lawn area next to my building, as well as walking trails. Also live near Laurel Hill trails which is great place to walk dogs.
About: I have a friendly, easy going labradoodle (not high energy) who would love to have a friend around. The yard is fenced in, I work from home, and we typically go on 3-4 walks a day. On a good weather day we’ll drive 5 minutes to IOP and have a beach walk. Your dog would get the exact same care I give mine. They can play all day inside and sleep where they want. Work from home Monday through Friday 9-5 but take plenty of breaks to go outside for walks or play fetch. At night I’m mostly chilling so hopefully your dog likes Netflix! I have a fenced in yard big enough for them to exhaust themselves if they want. If not, the daily walks should cover that. And I’m open to crating them at night or letting them sleep on the couch/bed if they’re comfortable.
About: I have always had a deep love for dogs and truly enjoy spending time caring for them. Their happiness, comfort, and well-being are very important to me, and I treat every dog with patience, kindness, and attention. I understand that each dog has its own personality and needs, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while away from their owners. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs through my own pets and by helping family and friends with theirs. My experience includes feeding, walking, exercising, administering basic care, maintaining routines, and providing plenty of affection and companionship. I am comfortable working with dogs of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments, and I always prioritize their safety and well-being. As a dog boarding caregiver, I would provide a reliable, loving, and nurturing environment where dogs can feel at home. I understand how important it is for pet owners to trust the person caring for their furry family members, and I am committed to providing attentive care, regular exercise, and lots of positive interaction. My goal is to ensure every dog feels happy, secure, and well cared for throughout their stay. I’m currently working from home and I’m available to adjust to your dog’s needs and schedule. I’m available anytime or day as needed. I have a fenced backyard, a very safe community and easy place to walk your dog. We’re a family of four that loves dogs and I would make sure your dog feels like home.
“Ronin immediately took to Dakota's home, as well as to Dakota and her sweet doodle. He was very happy when I picked him up and I could tell her had a wonderful day. Dakota was very communicative throughout the day, with text and pictures, showing me his activity, and how happy he was. I will definitely bring him back to Dakota's.”

“Natasha did a wonderful job with my elderly dog. Pepper can be a ton of work but Natasha exceeded my expectations. I felt very comfortable with Pepper being with Natasha. I can’t say thank you enough.”
About: Hi guys! My name is Alexus, everyone calls me Lex. I love ALL animals! I have been a dog owner and cat owner for over twenty years. I have experience with all breeds and sizes, from chihuahuas to pit bulls. From cats to turtles, you name it!. I work with high energy pets as well as low. I'm very active and love to explore! If you have an active pup, look no further! If you have an older more relaxed pet, that is ok too! Will give plenty of belly rubs, play time and treats! I also have experience administering insulin and other medications with dogs and cats. I Would love to give your fur baby love and attention while you are away. I will keep you updated along the way, I know we get separation anxiety just as much as they do sometimes! ♥️ Looking forward to working with you and your fur baby! 😊 I work part time overnight, other than that I’m doing school from home so I have extra time to offer. I can’t think of a better way than to play with animals all day 😊 I have a large back yard, unfortunately not fenced yet. We walk the neighborhood often, potty breaks and food I keep as close to their normal home routine.
“Megan was absolutely wonderful. She was extremely responsive and professional. She cared for Lucy so attentively and caring and sent photos, videos and updates throughout the day.”
“Here’s a polished review you can use: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Dog Sitter! I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog received. From the very beginning, she was professional, reliable, and genuinely caring. My dog was comfortable, happy, and well cared for while we were at dinner, which gave me complete peace of mind. I appreciated the regular updates, photos, and communication throughout the stay. It was clear that my dog received plenty of attention and affection. I returned home to a relaxed and happy dog. I highly recommend Carla to anyone looking for trustworthy, loving care for their furry family member. I will definitely book with her again! 🐾💙”

“We were visiting the area and needed a dog sitter on a last minute notice. Crystal was extremely responsive & easy to communicate with. More importantly, Crystal & her family were great with our fur baby!!! She played & even snuggled on the couch with them for movie night!! We will definitely use her again if in the area!!”

“Our two boys stayed with Josh and his two daughters for a few hours while we did things in the area that we couldn’t do with the dogs. We appreciate Josh being a little flexible as, due to traffic, our time adjusted a half hour later than we had told him initially. Our dogs had a wonderful time! The girls kept them entertained for a few hours. I believe they must’ve played with our two dogs the whole time, because our dogs were happy and tired when we got them back. We would definitely use Josh again and highly recommend him!”

About: As a lifelong dog lover, I offer reliable and flexible dog sitting services in your home or mine. I'm trustworthy, compassionate and love dogs. I have owned Dachshunds for many years, as well as a big, lovable hound. And, seniors have a special place in my heart. I am experienced and flexible, with decades spent in the corporate world before dedicating myself to caring for pets. I am available for drop-in visits, walks, or daycare and overnight stays in my home. I live on Goat Island, which is only accessible by boat and has no cars. I pick-up at Isle of Palms marine on my skiff. My property includes a large yard and the island has a 3-mile sand road for walks. I always leash guests' pets and have one friendly Dachshund (Smalls). I'm happy to crate dogs if needed and prioritize keeping your dog's routine with walks, feeding, medication, playtime, and plenty of fun and snuggles.
“Paul was incredible and we’ll be definitely using him again, the very next time we need a dog sitter needs in CHS. He was very accommodating, took my doodle on the best walks, and hosted him so well with treats! I can immediately tell if my dog feels comfortable and knew he did without question with Paul! Can’t thank him enough for the positive experience 🥰”

About: I have been caring for dogs for over 10 years and absolutely love animals of all kinds! Since I was around 11 years old, neighbors, friends, and families in my community have trusted me to walk, feed, play with, and care for their pets. I truly love spending time with dogs whether that means going on walks, playing outside, sticking to their routines, or just relaxing and cuddling with them. I am very dependable, patient, and attentive to each dog’s personality and needs. As a full time Clemson MBA student taking online classes this summer, I also have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pets lots of attention and care! I am currently a full time MBA student at Clemson taking only a few online classes this summer, which gives me a very flexible schedule for pet care! I am available during weekdays, weekends, mornings, afternoons, evenings, and overnights depending on your needs. Because my schedule is flexible, I am able to give pets lots of attention, playtime, walks, and companionship throughout the day. I love staying active with dogs and making sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and loved while their owners are away. Creating a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for pets is very important to me. If pets stay in my home, I live in a great neighborhood for walks and outdoor time, and I always make sure pets are supervised, comfortable, and sticking to their normal routines as much as possible. I am also completely comfortable staying overnight in a client’s home if that is preferred for your pet’s comfort and consistency. I understand how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone, and I always treat every animal like they are my own with lots of attention, patience, affection, and care!!
About: From age 7, I grew up caring for abandoned dogs (mostly unwanted hunting dogs), cats... and one time a peacock. I have two pups of my own, a Bull-whip and a Dutch shepherd I currently work on a part-time/contract basis as a therapist. This allows me to have time throughout mornings and evenings to walk or drop in on pups. I am respectful of others' spaces and recognize your home is not just a house, but a castle for you and your family members- including the furry ones.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
