About: My name is Susan and my son's name is Will. We have owned and cared for dogs our whole lives. I own my own home and have a fenced in back yard. We recently lost our beloved dog Scout and would love to have the extra company of you pets while you are away. We live in a nice neighborhood right off Clements Ferry with lots of places for good walks. We can also provide baths and light grooming if your pets require that service. If you need one of us to come to your home for a day and stay with your pet or just to let them out, feed them and take them for a walk we are available for that as well. If you have any questions, please let us know. Thanks for your time. We look forward to hearing from you soon! I work full time, but my son Will (23 years old) is currently home and can care for your dog with play time and walks. We have a fenced yard and can take your dog for daily walks. At night we will get comfortable on the couch and watch TV. Services include feeding according to the owner's instructions, providing fresh water, taking the dog on walks and bathroom breaks, administering medications if needed, and offering plenty of companionship and playtime. I also monitor the dog's well-being, maintain its routine, clean up after the pet, and provide updates to the owner as requested.

“Morgan and Matthew were amazing! We received so many wonderful photos of Rory throughout her stay with them and I knew she was in amazing hands. We will definitely be booking again with Morgan and Matthew in the near future”

“Abigail was a prompt and kind communicator and my dog had a great time playing with her friendly pup, Cheddar during her doggie daycare visit. I would highly recommend Abigail and will book with her again in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind from big Goldens to little Yorkies. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on my pet sitting services for 25 years. My husband and I both work from home so we have lots of time to dedicate to your pup! We live across the street from a large park and within walking distance from a beautiful walking trail to take your pup on daily walks. We have a very sweet black lab mix to keep your pup company. Every day we do three walks with lots of time for play at home in between. I’ll also make sure to take lots of pictures to keep you updated on your dog.
“Grace was amazing! Charlie loved his time with this sweet doggy sitter. Grace kept up with Charlie for two days while we explored the city. He was happy to see her on day two and enjoyed his time walking and snuggling with her. Grace was flexible with our schedule changes and communicated quickly. Highly recommend.”

About: My house is located in Park Circle in North Charleston and has a fenced in backyard great for playing. I enjoy taking Dez on walks and runs and would love to do the same with your fury friend. I also live by a few parks to take your dog out to play! I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I currently work from home part time and have a flexible schedule to accommodate a drop in service- refresh the water bowl, short walk for business or available for full 30 minute walk. Boarding available with notice required. I am known to adapt to the lifestyle my clients give their furry friends. Whether you want your dog taking on long walks or runs at the park playing fetch. At home I ensure pups get plenty of exercise and go out after breakfast and dinner.
About: I love all animals! I have two senior dogs and a cat of my own at home. I've lived with a dog my whole life. I have been described as a dog whisperer by many friends for my knack of gaining a dog's trust very quickly. My first cat came in 2016 and I soon after became a cat lover. I typically have late afternoon to evening availability during the week and am completely free during the weekends for pet care. I occasionally have early afternoon availability during the week as well. I am available for overnight sitting and boarding. If your home is outside of my direct service area I do adjust my rates to account for additional time and travel. I am completely comfortable accommodating any\all pet care requests within reason. Whether that be letting your pet out in the yard for exercise/bathroom breaks, letting dogs/cats in and out of crates/bedrooms to eat or roam around for awhile. I'm also happy to just keep your pet company for the time I am with it, from petting to playing fetch or tug-of-war or just peacefully co-existing.

“Aubrea has been so wonderful! She responds quickly, is so sweet and patient with my dog, and you can tell she’s genuinely a sweet soul and loves animals. It’s also a plus my dog Gunner absolutely loves Aubrea’s dog Remi! Definitely book her for all your pup needs!!❤️”

“Here’s a polished review you can use: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Dog Sitter! I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog received. From the very beginning, she was professional, reliable, and genuinely caring. My dog was comfortable, happy, and well cared for while we were at dinner, which gave me complete peace of mind. I appreciated the regular updates, photos, and communication throughout the stay. It was clear that my dog received plenty of attention and affection. I returned home to a relaxed and happy dog. I highly recommend Carla to anyone looking for trustworthy, loving care for their furry family member. I will definitely book with her again! 🐾💙”

“Ozzy was so happy and comfortable and hes my difficult pupper so needless to say she did amazing job with all 4 of them and was amazing with update photos and communication 10/10 would recommend to any one needing a relaxed environment for any of your fur babies”

About: I’ve been around cats and dogs my entire life. From a young age I was taught how to care for dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes. I grew up with two large labs (Rudy & Norman) and now care for a little rescue mut named Gilligan! I also had two pet cats (Amy & Shiloh) who I cared for growing up. I love active animals who will run around with me during the day and cuddle up at night! I work from home M-F from 9-5 which allows me to spend every hour of every day with your pup! After work, I love bringing dogs on a daily adventure if they’re up for it! I take the safety of animals extremely serious and prioritize it. I l review and follow all of the instructions provided from their owners and treat every animal as my own!
“Molly gives Buck a safe and fun place to stay while I am working. He loves Leonard, her dog, and I am grateful to Molly for taking such great care of Buck. Every evening when I pick him up, he’s so tired from playing all day. Molly is a gem.”

About: I have taken care of many different kinds of dogs since I was at least 6. My family as rescued every dog and animal there are. I have experience feeding, bathing, giving the needed exercise, and administering medication to all animals. I currently am a student at FAU that works about 5 days a week but all of my work days are from the mornings to the early afternoon which allows me to take care of your furry friends early in the mornings and for the rest of the afternoons and evenings. If my client has a dog that is needed to be crate trained I will put them in the crate when needed and make sure they are provided with water and food whenever it is scheduled if scheduled. They will each have the perfect amount of exercise and play time.
“Rebecca is an awesome dog sitter! We have a two year old epileptic husky and Rebecca was able to handle all his medication and all other needs perfectly. You can just see how much Rebecca and her husband really care about animals. I was so comfortable leaving our dog with Rebecca and she handled all of his health needs with the same love and care I would've if I was watching him at home. She sent me updates on how he was doing which is so nice. It's always such a relief to find a dog sitter that is attentive and caring the way Rebecca is when you have a dog with specific health needs such as ours. We just appreciate her help watching our pup so so much! Rebecca is highly recommended by us!”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
