About: I’ve taken care of all different type of dogs and cats. Some less than 5lbs and others more than 70. I am an animal lover at heart and friends and families have been reliant on me for all sorts of animal care. I’ve taken care of new fresh puppies that were unfortunate to not have a mother and others that are old and need special care and attention like shots, pills, and dietary restrictions. I am a lover of all animals any shape and size. I am currently working full time on Daniel island. I work from 8am to 5pm. However I do have a lunch break so if you live on Daniel Island, I can stop in the middle of the day to take care of your pet(s). I do not work on weekends so I can easily spend most of the day with your fur babies during the weekend. I have no problem giving animals plenty of cuddle time or giving them space when they need it. I’m happy to take them on walks frequently when I’m available and make sure they get the attention and care they need. Whatever your pet needs, I will do everything I can to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

Tristan did an amazing job caring for our four pups! It was clear they were happy, relaxed, and well cared for while we were away. He kept us updated with plenty of photos and thoughtful stories about our fur babies, which gave us so much peace of mind and made us feel connected to them the entire time. We returned to a clean home and four very happy dogs. We would gladly trust Tristan with our pups again!

About: As a lifelong dog owner, I've spent years caring for dogs and understand that every pet has their own personality and needs. I've dog-sat for family, friends, and neighbors and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I'm comfortable with daily walks, feeding schedules, playtime, crate-trained dogs, and providing lots of attention and affection. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable while you're away, while keeping you updated so you can have peace of mind. I work full-time during the week but have flexibility in my schedule to provide reliable pet care. I am available for walks and drop-in visits most afternoons and evenings, and I am available during my lunch breaks for select visits depending on location. I am also free most weekends and can provide plenty of attention, exercise, and care for your pets. I am committed to being dependable, communicative, and accommodating whenever possible Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. As a lifelong dog owner, I understand the importance of following each pet's routine, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any special instructions. I always keep dogs securely leashed during walks, pay close attention to their behavior, and provide regular updates to owners. Whether caring for your pet in your home or during walks and drop-in visits, I will treat them with the same care, patience, and attention I would give my own pets.

We had Staci stay with our Pittie, Jax, in our home, for 15 days. She came over for a meet and greet before we departed and Jax took to her immediately. Staci was dependable, neat, and trustworthy. She took such great care of Jax, even let him sleep with her. She sent us regular updates and pictures while we were gone. We came home to find not only a happy dog, but a clean house too. I would definitely rebook with Staci and would recommend her to anyone.

Autumn was absolutely wonderful with Buddy! This was my first time leaving him with a sitter, and she gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Buddy can be a handful and takes some patience and attention, but Autumn handled him incredibly well and kept me updated throughout my trip. I was able to actually relax knowing he was safe, happy, and being well cared for. I’m so grateful to have found someone I can trust with him and would absolutely book Autumn again!

About: Hi my name is JD! I have been taking care of pets and house sittibg since I was 8 years old! I have taken care of all kinds of cats and dogs! I love animals and feel like this would be a perfect job as I will be finishing school online over the next year. I would give your pet lots of love, while also following any set rules and guidelines for pet behavior and such! There is a chance I work a small job in the morning, but would make it work with you! I have some minor experience with puppies and kittens, but would feel comfortable if taken through extensive care instructions! I cannot wait to meet your sweet pet! I will be doing school online, so that is a non issue! I will most likely be working part time in the mornings starting late February, so I could work on hours that way! I am offering to house and pet sit in clients homes. I have extensive years of experience in house/pet sitting, and am more than comfortable taking care of someones abode while they are gone, and their furry family too! It is very important that both the client and myself feel safe doing so, but I feel more than confident we will be able to have a wonderful experience working together.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life (sometimes 6 at a time!) and currently I’m a proud dog mom to my rescue pup, Junior. He’s taught me a lot about patience, love, and managing special needs like administering meds and dog reactivity. I take pet care seriously (but always with joy!) and treat every animal like my own. Whether your pup loves long walks, chill couch time, or just needs someone calm and reliable, I’ve got you covered. I genuinely adore animals and would be so happy to care for yours! I use the Rover app myself for walks and boarding, so I understand the importance of communication and finding a sitter that you can trust. I am a freelance chef and took the next 3 months off work to visit family in Charleston, so my schedule is very open and flexible. I respect the owners care instructions to ensure a smooth transition for your pet. I log everything on the app to ensure trust and safety protocols .

About: My jack, Russell terrier, Chili passed away in August of 2022. The house feels empty without a dog running around, but I’m not quite ready to be a full-time permanent mom just yet. However, I would love to take care of your loved one in My Home, and the house would not feel so empty. I have a fenced in yard. It’s not very big but plenty of room for a small, medium dog. I make your pet my first priority. I used to work from home and that was great because I was able to be with the pups all day and night. I now will be in the office on most week days. I do not work far from home so if needed, I can pop in at lunchtime. I have a fenced yard. Your fur babies are welcome on my furniture and the bed but if you prefer them to be crated, that is fine too.

Heidi did a wonderful job taking care of our elderly dog (Josie) who needs multiple medications at various times of the day. Heidi got the meds into her (not an easy task) without trouble, understood Josie's limitations and worked with them, and quite obviously made much of her. After just a few days, Josie was sleeping on the bed. Heidi also kept us well informed, sent us marvelous photos, and left the house spotless. We'll be calling again.

Nick was great. When I met with him prior to his stay he had questions about house preferences and what to expect with Ellie. I received multiple pictures each day and it was clear my pup was having a blast. The house was left clean and I knew any mail or packages were brought in for us when we got back. Will definitely use again.

Courtney was exceptional with our four dogs, Gubbers, Walter, Hazel, and Mercy. She has a rare blend of strength and softness, and we felt it in every part of her care. She was conscientious, dependable, and true to her word. She gave our dogs so much love and attention, with plenty of play, cuddles, and thoughtful care, and she also handled a minor medical issue with confidence and compassion. She communicated with us regularly, sending pictures and updates that gave us enormous peace of mind and made being away from them so much easier. When we came home, our dogs were happy, settled, and clearly well loved, and our home was in perfect order. We truly could not have asked for a better sitter, and we will absolutely have her back. FAQs for House Sitting - Yellow House Landing

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Yellow House Landing on Rover is $66.6 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 1,650 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Yellow House Landing. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Yellow House Landing walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Yellow House Landing maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Yellow House Landing choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Yellow House Landing. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
