Including longer walks in his carrier so he could still be outside with her boys when he got tired of walking. Raquel was amazing! She was a great communicator and kept in touch with us about the dogs while we were gone. When we got back, the dogs were happy and healthy and maybe even more exercised than when we are home! Dewees island is a special place and has a pretty steep learning curve, but she took it all in stride and really embraced the island life! We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Rachel. We had to travel for a celebration of life for my dad, who passed away suddenly, and because our older dog Charlie has medical issues, finding someone we completely trusted with our two dogs and two cats was especially important. We initially found Rachel because of her veterinary experience and amazing reviews, but she exceeded every expectation. She was incredibly responsive, and from the first meet and greet, our animals absolutely loved her. While we were away, she sent lots of pictures and videos, was so understanding and flexible when our flight schedule changed, and clearly cared for our little pack like they were her own. Our cat Tuilerie even cuddled with her every night! Knowing our animals were safe, happy, and loved gave us such peace of mind during an incredibly difficult trip. We came home to relaxed, happy pets and a spotless house, and Rachel had even left homemade gifts for each animal along with the sweetest handwritten card.
