About: After 15 years of pet ownership, I’ve handled everything from high-energy puppyhood to the gentle requirements of senior care. I treat every pet I sit exactly like my own: as a cherished member of the family. You can head out on your trip knowing your pet is receiving 15 years' worth of experience, love, and one-on-one attention. I can't wait to meet your furry friend! With a background in hospitality and a career as a fitness and surf instructor, I offer a high-energy, reliable, and incredibly flexible schedule for your pet. My active lifestyle means I’m always up for long walks or playtime, ensuring your furry friend gets the exercise and attention they need. Whether it's a mid-day check-in or an afternoon adventure, my unique routine allows me to be there whenever you need a hand! I offer all services! Would love to host your pup at our place. We just have 1 small dog named Annie (she is sweet) 🐶
About: I’ve had dogs all throughout my life and recognize the important part they play in their family’s life. They deserve lots of love and attention, which unfortunately none of us have an endless amount of. That’s where I’d love to step in! Currently, my work schedule is random but often allows me to help where I can. I’m hoping to bring home a new pup later this year, but as I wait, I’d love to be able to help take care of yours! I’m very active and enjoy being outdoors, so I assure you your pet won’t be bored! I’m available for weekday drop ins and walks as well as weekend boarding. I’m most comfortable accepting boarding in my own home as I’m married, but special arrangements can be discussed if needed. I live 10 minutes from Sullivan’s island, so in addition to walks around Mt. Pleasant, I’d love to take your pup to the beach if you board with me!
“Shay did a fantastic job taking care of Ellie. This was our first time using Rover and we were a little nervous heading into it but Shay helped take those nerves away almost instantly. She was extremely responsive and sent us 4-5 daily pics of Ellie and her adventures for the day. Will definitely have Shay watch Ellie again!”

About: I’ve always been an animal lover and enjoy spending time with pets. I’m active, responsible, and attentive, making me a great fit for dogs who enjoy walks and playtime as well as cats who appreciate some attention and companionship. I’ll treat your pets like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I have a flexible work schedule depending on the week. I can walk your pet before work, during my lunch break, and after work depending on how active your pet is. I will make sure that they are active and get plenty of bathroom breaks. I treat them how I would want to be treated. When I am away at work, either my roommate or girlfriend will stop in to check on your pet.

“My dog stayed with Kathy over an extended period (10 days) and did really well. As a rescue with a rough early start, my dog can be skittish and slow to warm up to new people and situations, but Kathy and her husband were patient and my dog not only seemed to relax, but also enjoy having a yard to play in and (dog) buddies to play with. Kathy’s willingness to pick up and drop off my dog was also really convenient and helpful. Highly recommend!”
“Paul was a terrific sitter. Paddington was very comfortable and had a great time. Paul took him on long walks and sent really nice photos at the end of the day, he also had a dog cam and you can see your dog. Lastly Paul helped us out of a bind agreeing to watch Paddington on short notice as we had an unexpected trip. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. Growing up, both of my sisters were allergic to dogs, so I spent my childhood and now adult life taking care of my friends' and family's pets whenever needed! I love all types of dogs: big, small, shy, and excited! I am currently a law student at CSOL! I have a miniature dachshund that loves other dogs, and I have a great time taking care of fur babies! My fiancé is a remote software engineer who loves dogs and spends his breaks playing with the dogs while I'm at school (8 am-noon, 4 days a week) :) I care for all dogs equally! I make sure they are well walked and played with. When checking on the dogs, I make sure they have plenty of food, water, playtime, etc. We keep an extra dog bed (size large), crate, toys, blankets, and food bowls, so no need to worry if anything is forgotten!
“Ellen is the best! Our pup had the best time at her house and probably didn’t want to come home! She has a wonderful backyard for the dogs to run around and play and sends you the best updates! Forrest can’t wait to come back soon!”

“Kelly has taken care of 2 of my dogs now and I can’t say enough great things about the care they’ve received! Pictures and updates came frequently and I know lots of walks and snuggles were had! Will definitely be using Kelly again!”

“Jonathan and Carla did such a great job with Captain. They sent pictures and he was obviously having a grand time. They also agreed to keep him on short notice when we had a family situation come up. Really appreciated their help.”

“Bengie seemed happy and chilling in his stay with Parish. I felt confident with Parish taking care of Bengie. I definitely will book again when I need someone to dogsit bengie again. Parish was responsible and respectful.”

“Alyssa was so great! Sent regular updates with pics/videos and she was so patient with my dog who takes a little time to warm up. Gave me peace of mind knowing he was in good hands while I was away!”

“Chelsie was wonderful - she took great care of our year-old dog and was very responsive and proactive with sharing updates and photos. When we came for pick-up, our dog didn’t want to leave!”

“Nadra was the BEST! I had never boarded my boys before but this particular trip I couldn’t take them with me. Anxiety ridden about one of my pups flippant attitude, I looked over so many boarders and came across Nadra! We went for a meet and greet and it was like we had all been there time and time before. We all felt super comfortable and Nadra was so kind and friendly. She welcomed us into her home, showed us around and was open to answering any questions we had! She calmed this mamas nerves and the boys took up to her and her doggos so quick. Her home was clean and welcoming. She has a fenced in yard and plenty of loving to go around for your pets! During the trip, she sent photos of my boys, it was so nice to see them relaxing just like they do at home and getting to play with her pups as well. I am so thankful for her and as soon as we book another trip when the boys can’t come along, she will be the first one I call! Thank you Nadra! I know this review is incredibly over due! I still appreciate you and your kindness over a year later!”

Mary is absolutely amazing! She takes such great care of Winston every time he stays with her. We always know he’s in the best hands, and it’s clear how much she genuinely cares about him. Winston absolutely loves his time with Mary, and we love the peace of mind that comes with knowing he’s happy, safe, and spoiled with attention. He also loves his girlfriend Stella too.We couldn’t recommend her more highly!

Gabrielle is the best dog sitter we’ve ever had! If I could give 10 stars I would! She took Smoke on so many fun outings and sent regular pictures and updates. She is super flexible, and she’s an animal lover. Smoke didn’t want to leave her when I picked him up. We will definitely book again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
