About: I’ve been an animal lover ever since I got my first pup at 10 years old, and I can’t imagine life without dogs! Over the years I’ve cared for my own dog through every stage of life, so I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member. I’m active, dependable, and happy to match your pet’s energy, whether that’s an adventure outside or cuddles on the couch I work part-time, so pet care fits naturally into my routine! I enjoy staying active, so daily walks and spending time outdoors are already part of my day. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable walks, drop-in visits, and quality one-on-one attention. Whether it’s an energetic walk, playtime, or simply keeping your pet company, I genuinely enjoy making sure they feel happy, safe, and loved. I know every pet has their own routine, so I take the time to follow your care instructions closely to help them feel comfortable and at ease. Whether I’m walking your dog, stopping by for a visit, or caring for them in your home, I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, fresh water, meals, potty breaks, and, of course, lots of love.
“Natalie was such a great sitter! She sent several pictures and videos of Zhuri and Diesel playing. It seemed like our pups got along so well. Zhuri came home happy, healthy and tired from all the play time. We will absolutely be booking with Natalie again!”

“Agnes & Michael did a great job watching Franny! I got a lot of pictures during the stay and they gave her medication to her daily. I would recommend to anyone looking for an awesome sitter!”

“Sansa was so happy and Crystal and her family made her feel right at home and with a stress free experience. She was also flexible with some travel snafus and kept me very well updated! Highly recommend!”

“Erika is AMAZING! George had a fantastic time and it was super helpful that she had toys, bowls, treats, and everything else George could possiably need already at her house. She did an amazing job keeping me updated with several pictures and video updates on a daily basis. George and I can’t thank you enough! 11/10 a++ would recommend!”

“Becca did a wonderful job taking care of my girl, Athena! She sent plenty of updates and was very responsive. Becca has a great yard and porch setup where she and Athena got to hang out, and I know Athena had a good time!”

“Abi is such a great sitter! Even if she has 3 golden retrievers at the same time she makes sure they all got the attention, walks, potty breaks and treats they all need. She made sure they all had a golden time and she deserves a golden review!”

About: I always took care of dogs for family and friends while they travel. We don’t have pets of our own currently, so know that your pet will get a lot of love from us. I am currently working from home and usually just leave the house to take my son to daycare and pick him up. I can take your dog out as many times needed for walks and bathroom breaks during the day. We live in a townhouse, with no fence. So we will always need to go out on a leash. I do have a 2 year son, so your pet needs to be good and/or used with kids. We don’t own any pets so you can rest assured they won’t have any problems with that.
“Hannah was great with Deku. She sent many pictures of Deku daily, she was professional and asked good questions to make sure Deku felt comfortable during his stay. Her dog Levi and Deku got along very well. She was very welcoming and I could tell Deku was very well taken care of when I picked him up.”

“I am so pleaser we found Megan. Keenan had a terrific visit and came home happy and content. Megan was a A++ communicator and shared lots of photos and anecdotes about their days together. She really got to know our pup’s quirks and preferences Such a great care giver.”

“Sharon was very accommodating to our last minute request as we had a cancellation right before our travel. She shared many pictures during the week stay and helped us with timeline adjustments as well. 5 out of 5 and will not hesitate to use again. Thank you so much!”

“Great communication and such a sweet family! Their home was clean and welcoming, and they took wonderful care of our two small dogs, Charlie and Kramer. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. If we’re ever in the area again, we will definitely rebook with them. Thank you again for taking such great care of our boys!”

About: I’m a registered nurse with a lifelong love for dogs, which means safety, reliability, and attention to detail are always my top priorities. I had my own dog for 14 years, so I have extensive experience caring for senior dogs, including administering medications, recognizing changes in behavior or health, and providing extra patience and comfort. Having moved here from Philly, I truly miss having a dog of my own, so I treat every pet I care for like family. I’m calm, observant, and dependable, and I’m especially comfortable with routines, special instructions, and pets who need a little extra care or reassurance. Whether it’s walks, overnight stays, or drop-ins, your dog will be safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine. As a nurse, I work three 12-hour shifts per week, which gives me several full days off where I’m completely available for walks, drop-ins, and overnight care.I plan my schedule carefully and only accept bookings I can fully commit to, so your pet will always get consistent attention, exercise, and care. I’m happy to work around your dog’s routine and communicate clearly so you always know your pet is in good hands. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or yours. As a nurse, I’m highly attentive, detail-oriented, and trained to notice subtle changes in behavior, appetite, or energy levels. I carefully follow all routines and instructions provided, including feeding schedules, medications, leash preferences, and house rules. In a client’s home, I respect your space and keep your pet’s environment clean, calm, and familiar. In my home, pets are supervised, never left unattended for long periods, and kept in a secure, comfortable setting. I use leashes at all times outdoors unless otherwise instructed and avoid dog parks unless explicitly approved. I prioritize clear communication and will provide regular updates, photos, and messages so you can feel confident and at ease while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness always come first.
“Our dog Pepper appeared to have enjoyed him self with Bijayata . He was happy when we dropped him off and he was the same way when we picked him up. That is how we can tell if he was happy there or not. I would use her again if we are on her area again!!”

“Lauren did a great job with my 1 year old golden retriever! She sent plenty of pictures to keep me updated, which definitely eased my mind. I could tell that my pup was having a blast! He didn’t want to leave at pick up time because he was having so much fun lol Lauren was great at communicating and very flexible with my flight changes. She was very accommodating to my high energy puppy. We will definitely use her for any future travels :)”

“Paul was a terrific sitter. Paddington was very comfortable and had a great time. Paul took him on long walks and sent really nice photos at the end of the day, he also had a dog cam and you can see your dog. Lastly Paul helped us out of a bind agreeing to watch Paddington on short notice as we had an unexpected trip. Highly recommend!”

“Keziah was a happy boy when I got there! He seemingly didn't want to leave. And yet, he was exhausted the following day, and we spent the day letting him recover (by snoozing most of the day) from his adventure!”

“Rachel was wonderful!! She was super responsive and flexible with drop off and pick up. She sent pictures of Finley to me throughout her stay which helped ease my mind while we were apart. Such an easy and seamless process ☺️ Highly recommend her for dog boarding!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wando
Janine was absolutely wonderful. She is beyond knowledgeable, thoughtful, kind, and caring. She genuinely loves dogs and gives the most amazing advice and guidance for a novice puppy owner like me. Having never had anyone take care of my sweet puppy I was extremely nervous to leave her with a total stranger but Janine immediately put me at ease. I’m not sure it would be possible to find anyone else as good as she is to care for your dog.

Delia was wonderful with my dog! She was very responsive, communicated consistently throughout the stay, and made the whole experience easy and stress-free. When I picked my dog up, he was relaxed, happy, and clearly well cared for. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.

Amareigh is amazing. She took such good care of our Ozzy, who can be a little skittish at first. He quickly attached to her, which gave us so much comfort and peace of mind while we were away. She was kind, reliable, and clearly has a natural way with dogs. We felt completely at ease knowing Ozzy was in such good hands. We would absolutely recommend Amareigh to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog sitter, and we will definitely use her again.

Kayla is a very sweet young woman who took excellent care of our 6 pound, 13 year old dog Mollie. She obviously is very experienced with dogs of all ages and knew just how to care for a senior dog. When we returned to pick up our dog Mollie, she was very calm and happy which was a sure indication that she had been well cared for and felt very safe and secure in Kayla’s care. We plan to call on Kayla again to take care of Mollie whenever we have to travel without her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
