About: I've taken care of my dog for 8 years, walking, feeding, and many more activities that we did together. Dogs have always been something I care a lot for and wish to be able to to the same with your dog/dogs. I am currently working part-time and I am working in the morning, getting off of work around 1, therefore I am free in the afternoon to take care of your pet. I am not available on Tuesday afternoon, Friday afternoon, and Saturday, Sunday is a bit hectic but I can possibly make space for emergencies. Drop in, I can provide your pet with food, take them out to use the restroom, clean up after them, clean their bowls, whatever the pet needs for the drop in I could do. The walking service, I can give them and hour to two hour walk, of course clean up after them, I can give them their water when they need it, and of course in this summer heat give a nice cold treat at the end of the walk. I am open to giving the pet the medications it needs, if you as the owner would teach and allow me to do so.
“Chas and her family are a God send! Yankee simply stayed at home, he was happy and we couldn’t be more comfortable. Chas kept us updated with videos and pictures. Our little vacation was stress free knowing Yankee was so happy and having a great time with Chas and her children while we were away. We have a new home away from home for Yankee when we need to travel. Thank you Chas!”

“Allison is fantastic! She cared for our 4 month old puppy and was so attentive a patient. She even worked with her on basic training and when we came home I noticed a huge difference in Chloes’s obedience. Can’t recommend her enough!”

“Cassie was once again amazing. You can tell how much she loves the animals she cares for and I know my girl is always in safe hands with her. Excellent communication and she sends the best pictures and videos!!!”

“Margaret was incredible with our 2 dogs. We met beforehand and I instantly felt confident she would take great care of our pups! Our dogs stayed with her for a week. She sent videos and check in messages to us each day which we appreciated so much. The dogs got their exercise in while there and looked like they were having fun! We will happily use Maggie again for our next trip!”

“This was the first time using River for our 1 year old Staffie mix. Stephanie was great and updated us everyday with pictures and video! Highly recommend Stephanie for dog sitting!”

“Rocky had a wonderful time with Sasha and Kyzua. Sasha was very communicative and sent lots of cute pictures. It was very comforting to know he was being well loved and taken care of while we were gone. Rocky is looking forward to his next stay.”

About: Our family raised and cared for our 15 year old Miniature Schnauzer baby until she recently passed the rainbow bridge. We have opened our home to puppies and adult dogs since her passing and have loved spoiling all of the babies big and small, young and old! I work from home and am able to provide constant love and attention to your babies inside the home. I also am extremely flexible and can come visit your babies at the times you request in your home and spend time with them outside or out of their crate. I have a fenced back yard and a neighborhood with sidewalks where I can walk with your babies if you want them to stay with me. If you choose to keep your baby at your home I will make sure they have love, exercise and time outside of their crate.
“I’m so grateful that Michelle and Douglas kindly took care of my little monster, Coco Bean. He seemed so comfortable and happy during his stay at their home. Coco Bean is usually not very good with men, but it looks like Douglas’s magic worked perfectly on him!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hanahan
Thank you so much for taking such great care of our dogs this week. We loved getting all the photos and updates—it really put us at ease while we were away. It was clear they were happy, relaxed, and in wonderful hands. We truly appreciate the kindness, attention, and care you gave our pups. We’d absolutely book with you again.

Lisa took such great care of our Birdie girl! She sent frequent updates while we were away and took extra steps to ensure our girl felt comfortable in her home. Birdie met us with a huge tail wag when we picked her up - the ultimate review that she was happy and comfortable. We’ll definitely be using Lisa again! Highly recommend.

Bijayata was amazing! She kept me updated daily and sent adorable pictures multiple times throughout each day. Prue was clearly happy during her stay and had the best time. It eased my nerves knowing she was being well taken care of and was comfortable while I was away. I will definitely book Bijayata every time I’m out of town, no question.
This is the 2nd time Meg has boarded our puppy. We had a last minute change to our itinerary and she was willing and able to accommodate the extra day. My puppy absolutely loves hanging out with Meg and her puppy. They get along extremely well!!! I will absolutely choose Meg 1st for sitting our puppy. He is well taken care of with her and she follows all of our house rules with our puppy so he is not confused by the difference when he comes home. Meg is an excellent Sitter for our puppy.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
