About: I’ve had dogs all throughout my life and recognize the important part they play in their family’s life. They deserve lots of love and attention, which unfortunately none of us have an endless amount of. That’s where I’d love to step in! Currently, my work schedule is random but often allows me to help where I can. I’m hoping to bring home a new pup later this year, but as I wait, I’d love to be able to help take care of yours! I’m very active and enjoy being outdoors, so I assure you your pet won’t be bored! I’m available for weekday drop ins and walks as well as weekend boarding. I’m most comfortable accepting boarding in my own home as I’m married, but special arrangements can be discussed if needed. I live 10 minutes from Sullivan’s island, so in addition to walks around Mt. Pleasant, I’d love to take your pup to the beach if you board with me!

About: With over 11 years of experience as a dedicated dog owner and offering reliable dog-sitting services, I can provide a safe and loving environment for your pup! We have one sweet hound dog (female) who loves to play and is gentle.
“GREAT EXPERIENCE! This was our first time with Jenny & Frank, but they put us at ease immediately with their warmth and kindness. Our two dogs seemed very happy when we picked them up. We will definitely use them again!”

About: Hi! I'm Rachel, a recent College of Charleston graduate with a B.A. in psychology. I have spent the last 16 years raising and caring for dogs. Animals have always been a significant part of my life, as my family dog even helped me take my first steps. I started dog sitting in my neighborhood when I was 10 years old and haven't stopped since. One neighbor invited me over every Tuesday to meet her new foster puppy of the week, which is how I adopted my first puppy, Rocky. During my senior year of high school, I got my second dog, Sadie, who has taught me as much as I have taught her. My experience extends beyond my pets, as friends and family come to me for help with training their new puppies and to take care of their pets while they are away. Whether you have a playful puppy or a sweet senior, I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all ages. If you're looking for a sitter who truly understands dogs and will love your pet as if they were my own, I’d love to help! I am currently looking for job opportunities so my schedule is wide open. Let me know what works best for you and your pet, and I will be happy to accommodate your needs. I live in a two-bedroom condo with my 9y/o dog Sadie, who loves having new friends around. I also have a neighborhood dog park just a short walk away, where I take her to run around and get her energy out. We also have lots of great walking paths and parks around us to explore. Whether your dog stays with me or I care for them in your home, I can follow your routines and will prioritize their safety and comfort above all else.

“Janine was absolutely wonderful. She is beyond knowledgeable, thoughtful, kind, and caring. She genuinely loves dogs and gives the most amazing advice and guidance for a novice puppy owner like me. Having never had anyone take care of my sweet puppy I was extremely nervous to leave her with a total stranger but Janine immediately put me at ease. I’m not sure it would be possible to find anyone else as good as she is to care for your dog.”

“Lisa is an absolute angel and a dog lover like no other. She was super responsive and uncommonly attentive to our pup Rio’s preferences and needs. We had an easy meet & greet (she even brought a notebook to jot down Rio’s feeding, sleep schedule and play preference) before he went to stay with her and just fell in love with her within the first 5 minutes. So grateful for her care. It’s like he went to sleep away camp for a night and had the best time ever. Thank you Lisa!”

“Gabriela was amazing! Mav will definitely be going back to her. She kept me updated with photos and little messages, took Mav on so many walks and was so accommodating with travel disruptions! Always a good feeling when your dog comes home happy and healthy from the dog sitters! 🙂”
“Here’s a polished version of your review: My Cavachon Lola came back home healthy and super happy after boarding with Parish for 4 nights. She will definitely be back! Thank you, Parish, for the wonderful care!”

“So easy to work with, bonded immediately with our Sully! Shared pictures of him playing outside on walks and napping with family. Strongest possible recommendation for any dog owner visiting Charleston, Daniel Island, Mt Pleasant, Isle of Palms, or Sullivan’s Island — we will definitely be back!”

“We’re so grateful to have found Sydney! She took in our dogs on short notice and made the whole experience completely stress-free. She kept us updated regularly, and it was clear from the photos and messages that our pups felt right at home. They blended in beautifully with her family, and we could tell they were well cared for and happy. Sydney was fantastic; we can’t wait to book with her again!”

“Delia was so sweet with our dog and cat! We have a pretty anxious dog who doesn’t like a lot of people so when they were introduced and he warmed up immediately we knew that it was a match . We went on vacation for 8 days and she dropped our babies off for us so that they were home when we arrived. I highly recommend that you book with Delia! We came home to a very calm dog who usually has anxiety 😊🙌 and a very happy cat.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Isle of Palms
Kyler was incredibly easy to work with and Nona seemed to do well in his care with her new friends! I loved getting photos throughout the day of her activities. She came home happy and worn out, which is exactly what I wanted! Kyler was very flexible and accommodating. I wanted Nona to meet him prior to our week long trip, and he had no issues with us coming by to say “hi”. My flight was cancelled on my way home, and Kyler was kind enough to keep Nona for a little extra time. I really appreciated knowing Nona was safe and happy while I was away!

Lauren was wonderful! She was incredibly friendly, communicative, and accommodating throughout the entire experience. It was clear she genuinely cared about my dog and made everything easy and stress-free. I felt completely comfortable knowing my pup was in great hands. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.

Sarah did absolutely amazing with my little fur babies. This anxious mama was nervous to leave them for the first time with someone outside of my family. Quickly I became at ease since she updated with throughout the day and sent me photos of my angels. I would recommend Sarah to anyone!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
