Please let me know if I need to feed them (and how much) while I am there. If you have a high energy dog, would you prefer active engagement with the dog for the full session time? ────୨ৎ──── 𝙳𝚘𝚐𝚐𝚢 𝙳𝚊𝚢 𝙲𝚊𝚛𝚎/ 𝙱𝚘𝚊𝚛𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚂𝚌𝚑𝚎𝚍𝚞𝚕𝚎 •Environment: I do have 2 dogs and 1 cat! I have a 5 year goldendoodle (medium size dog) and a 3 month old puppy (medium/large size dog) My goldendoodle (Copper) is a very laid back and cuddly dog, he will most likely smell your dog when entering and then go about his business. My puppy (Soup) is a lot more high energy and enjoys rough housing and playing with dogs. So it’s like the best of both worlds! My cat (Fish) is not reactive to dogs, your dog can attempt to play with him or paw at him, he just doesn’t mind! I do live in an apartment, which is very open so I am able to watch your dog at all times during the day! A (XL) crate with a dog bed is always open and available to your dog if they want some alone time. My neighborhood is extremely walkable with a small dog park located in the back. Dog water is always available as well as various dog toys. ────୨ৎ──── 𝙿𝚘𝚝𝚝𝚢 𝙱𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚔𝚜 •Potty breaks are every 2 hours •This includes a brief walk where poop bags are available • The duration of the potty break is often 10 minutes or less • Questions/Concerns: People/Dogs are often walking around my neighborhood, is your dog reactive to this type of behavior? If so, how does your dog react (pulling on leash, barking, attempts to lunge at people/dogs) ────୨ৎ──── 𝙼𝚎𝚊𝚕 𝚃𝚒𝚖𝚎 • If a meal time schedule is given I will follow it • If not, your puppy will be fed once in the morning (8:00am) and once in the afternoon (5:00pm) •Water is always available :) • Questions/Concerns: If your dog requires more than 2 meals a day please let me know! Also if your dog is food aggressive and prefers to eat alone, please let me know if you prefer for them to eat inside the crate, or inside a private room! ────୨ৎ──── 𝙴𝚗𝚐𝚊𝚐𝚎𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚝 𝚃𝚒𝚖𝚎 •Multiple toys are always available in my household! This varies from soft chewers (plushie and stuffed animals) or super chewers (rough dog chew toys) • Throughout the day at various times I provide enrichment items for your puppy! • A frozen peanut butter lick mat is given, as well as frozen chicken/beef broth with multiple treats inside is also offered:) • Questions/Concerns: Is your dog protective over toys? If so how do they react (growling, biting?) If you don’t want your dog getting extra treats (peanut butter/frozen treats,) please let me know! And I promise I don’t mind if your puppy tears up one of my stuffed animals, we have so many extra lol ────୨ৎ──── 𝙰𝚍𝚍𝚒𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚊𝚕 𝚆𝚊𝚕𝚔𝚜 (5$) • If your dog needs some extra exercise additional walks are offered! • Certain miles/times for walking is extremely flexible • These are walks strictly for 1-1 time for your dog/extra exercise, potty break walks are already included when you book doggy day care/boarding! • On longer walks I always bring a portable water bowl for dogs! • Questions/Concerns: Does your dog have a thicker coat? If so, do they overheat? A typical day for dogs that stay in my home consists of… Potty Breaks Every 2 hours • This includes a short brief walk where poop bags are included • In my neighborhood other dogs and people are often walking (if your dog is unfriendly or may react to seeing this please let me know:) Meal time I have a 5 year old goldendoodle, which is fed once in the morning (8:00am) and once at night (5:00pm.) My puppy is fed once in the morning (8:00am), again in the afternoon (12:00pm), and at night (5:00pm) So, if your dog gets fed once throughout the day or multiple times, i’m extremely flexible! If your dog is food aggressive or prefers to eat alone please let me know, a private room is available or a closed off area (XL crate) is available! Engagement Time Multiple toys are always available in my household, whether your dog enjoys ripping toys, or gnawing on super chewer toys, they will always have options! Throughout the day, dogs are given a lick mat with peanut butter (frozen) or frozen chicken/beef broth with various treats inside. If your dog is has any allergies or you don’t want them getting extra treats please let me know!:) Also I do brush my dogs daily and if you would like me to brush your dog too, just message me! Walks If you would like me to give your pup some more 1-1 time, or extra exercise additional walks are offered ! I offer certain miles or time you need your dog to be walked. Additional walks, outside of potty breaks, do cost 5$ Dog Park Time • At 12:00pm all dogs are walked/driven to a small dog park located in my neighborhood. It is quite a small yard but I always bring extra toys (stuffie, ball, frisbee) to get them some extra exercise! A private room with a crate is always available for your pup if they start to feel overwhelmed or anxious. Water is always available for the dogs, we do specifically have the raised dog bowl to avoid the dogs spitting up their water as well.

“Jonathan and Carla did a fantastic job taking care of Lily. We did a meet and greet and our dogs got along great, and Lily is a total extrovert so I was happy that she got to spend the weekend playing with her dog buddies! The cost of boarding was more affordable but by no means less valuable. These guys are a great pick for anyone looking for budget friendly dog care! Thanks again ❤️”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life and have had experience with dogs of all sizes. My family’s dog right now is an Australian Labor-doodle and before him I also had a yellow lab. I welcome all friendly pups and will love them as you do! I work a very flexible schedule so your pup will be well cared for and not left alone for a long amount of time! I will take them for walks, let them run in the fenced in area at my apartment complex, and allow them to be free in the apartment space. There is plenty of room for them to run freely in a fenced in dog park at my complex however I LOVE to go to surrounding neighborhoods, Park Circle, and the Battery to walk around. Always will have a leash and make sure I’m safe around other dogs!
“Julia is great! Very kind, worked with me well- kept me informed and sent lots of pictures and stories of my dog while I was gone on vacation. I’ll definitely have her sit my dog again!”

“Rocky had a wonderful time with Sasha and Kyzua. Sasha was very communicative and sent lots of cute pictures. It was very comforting to know he was being well loved and taken care of while we were gone. Rocky is looking forward to his next stay.”

“Sarah and Ethan were great! Dakota seemed very comfortable while she was staying with them. They sent me lots of pictures of her which is always nice to see. Will definitely be using them again in the future.”

“If you’re looking for someone to board your pet, I would unequivocally and without hesitation recommend Autumn. I have a large dog and Autumn was amazing with him. You can tell she cares for each pet as her own and enjoys looking after your pets and caring for them. She was very easy to work with and sent pictures and updates throughout Goose’s stay with her. Should I need to board Goose in the future, Autumn will be my first stop when looking because I truly felt at ease and was able to not stress knowing Goose was in such good and caring hands. 10/5 stars!!!”

“Blu seems to have had a great stay with Bootsie and Tom. They sent several updates, pictures and even video of Blu enjoying himself in their home. Blu is already looking forward to his next stay!”

“Abigail was great with communication easy to work with and provided great updates when taking care of Milo. Instantly booked Milo‘s next stay when I picked him up.”

“Sarah was an awesome host. Great communication. Lots of pics and updates about the puppers. Dogs came home happy and bouncy. She has a great fenced in backyard and a house set up well to host pets. We will definitely rebook with her next time.”
“Kaylie & Jonathan watched my dog at their apartment for 3 nights and were SO attentive, great communicators, and trustworthy! I felt like my Moose was in great hands while I was away & I absolutely plan on booking with them again!!!”

“Shannon was very flexible and accommodating. Penny had a great time with her doggo friends while we were away. Shannon’s place is just a block away from a large shady park making afternoon walks in the summer heat doable. Thanks Shannon!”
“Our dog can be shy and unsure with new people sometimes, but she loves Hannah. It’s nice to know when we are traveling she is in such good hands and having a little vacation of her own. Definitely recommend booking Hannah!”

About: I have grown up owning dogs my entire life and loved taking care of them, as well as dogs of family and friends! When I moved out on my own, I began fostering puppies as young as 8 weeks old (2 at a time!), which involved a lot of potty training, teaching commands, and learning to walk on a leash! I also love volunteering with the rescue I fostered from by taking rescue dogs on Doggy Dates and breaking them out of the shelter for a few hours! I have the most experience with puppies and young adults, but also have watched older pups of my family members. I hope to give your pup a nice boop on the nose :) I am a teacher and coach, so I currently have availability after 5:30 pm on weekdays and I am available all day on the weekends! Beginning in June, I am off for the summer, so I will be available! If you’re looking for someone to watch your pup on your summer trips, look no further!! I am happy to accommodate your pup's needs to ensure their safety and comfortability! I currently have a dog that gets along GREAT with other dogs! I have a fully fenced in backyard, lots of nearby walking trails, and I have taken my pup to many of the spacious parks in the West Ashley area. A brief note of needs for your pet will ensure I care for them exactly how you do!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - North Charleston
Autumn is the best! She's incredibly pleasant and communicative. My dogs always come home happy and well loved. I can tell that they are treated with the upmost care and compassion. I have used quite a few sitters over the years and through moves and I can honestly say Autumn and her husband are the best! They were very flexible with my time as I had flights move around through my booking. I cannot recommend someone more! The girls love the treats too!

Bijayata was amazing! She kept me updated daily and sent adorable pictures multiple times throughout each day. Prue was clearly happy during her stay and had the best time. It eased my nerves knowing she was being well taken care of and was comfortable while I was away. I will definitely book Bijayata every time I’m out of town, no question.
This is the 2nd time Meg has boarded our puppy. We had a last minute change to our itinerary and she was willing and able to accommodate the extra day. My puppy absolutely loves hanging out with Meg and her puppy. They get along extremely well!!! I will absolutely choose Meg 1st for sitting our puppy. He is well taken care of with her and she follows all of our house rules with our puppy so he is not confused by the difference when he comes home. Meg is an excellent Sitter for our puppy.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
