“Lisa was really amazing, made sure to communicate throughout the visit, spoiled our dog to no end to the point she was worried she wasn’t going to eat so she would put extra food on top to get her to eat and even went out and got extra treats for her. Would highly recommend and would definitely use her again”

“Abigail and her family are amazing. My dog feels so at home and has a ball. We don’t have to feel guilty leaving him behind because he has such a great time. Wholeheartedly recommend!”

“Margaret was incredible with our 2 dogs. We met beforehand and I instantly felt confident she would take great care of our pups! Our dogs stayed with her for a week. She sent videos and check in messages to us each day which we appreciated so much. The dogs got their exercise in while there and looked like they were having fun! We will happily use Maggie again for our next trip!”

“Great experience. Louie enjoyed his stay and seemed happy. Julia was very nice and communicative. She sent photos and updates, which eased my mind while traveling. Highly recommend.”

About: 🐾 Looking for loving, reliable care for your pup? I’d love to help! Whether you need overnight care, walks, or playtime, your dog will be treated like family in our home. Just a 1 dog household. ( 8 pound dog that thinks he is 89 pounds) Chief Tail Wagger, Oliver, is always on duty, so your pup must be comfortable and enjoy the company of other dogs. Send me a message to see if we’d be a great fit for your furry family member! 🐶❤️ I work from home Tuesdays and Fridays and I am home most weekends unless I am traveling. I have a flexible schedule and your pet will remain active. I follow the clients instructions as far as feedings , if they need extra love and attention , which they would get anyway…regular snuggles are necessary. All dogs are in the bed and on the couch unless they have a preference and would rather sleep elsewhere. It’s the dogs world and we are just living in it. The dogs will go on regular walks and the pavement will be tested if too hot. I have a grass yard to walk around in. If there are any medications. I am an expert! I have given every type of medication to my pets.
“Connie was very communicative before and during my dog’s stay with her, and I felt very comfortable leaving him in her care. He seemed to enjoy his stay (especially spending time in her nice, sunny back yard) and we will be booking with Connie again.”

“Bear had a great time with Bootsie! We got frequent updates and pictures during our time away. He was super relaxed and happy when he came back- we would highly recommend them!”

“Jennifer is an amazing sitter. Our pup adores her and she is our first choice when we need to leave our little guy. We highly recommend your pet to her loving and efficient care. 🐶❤️”

About: I always took care of dogs for family and friends while they travel. We don’t have pets of our own currently, so know that your pet will get a lot of love from us. I am currently working from home and usually just leave the house to take my son to daycare and pick him up. I can take your dog out as many times needed for walks and bathroom breaks during the day. We live in a townhouse, with no fence. So we will always need to go out on a leash. I do have a 2 year son, so your pet needs to be good and/or used with kids. We don’t own any pets so you can rest assured they won’t have any problems with that.

“We had a wonderful experience with Lauren! My dog & cat absolutely loved her and when we came home, they were even happier than before we left. That wasn't the case when we had boarded them in a kennel on our last trip. We highly recommend her. An easy process too! ????”
“Amber and Ryan were the best furry sitters we’ve ever had. They took excellent care of Happy, and they also took Happy in a pinch; they extended time for us. They were so sweet and very loving to Happy, and we was so grateful to them. I would highly recommend them. I will use them again; thanks, Amber and Ryan. Rover is fortunate to have you. And so were we.”

“Joshua is a great sitter for our anxious Coco. His place is very clean, soothing, and peaceful. He is great with our fur baby, sending updates and pictures. We will not hesitate to use him again in the future.”

Autumn is the best! She's incredibly pleasant and communicative. My dogs always come home happy and well loved. I can tell that they are treated with the upmost care and compassion. I have used quite a few sitters over the years and through moves and I can honestly say Autumn and her husband are the best! They were very flexible with my time as I had flights move around through my booking. I cannot recommend someone more! The girls love the treats too!

Bijayata was amazing! She kept me updated daily and sent adorable pictures multiple times throughout each day. Prue was clearly happy during her stay and had the best time. It eased my nerves knowing she was being well taken care of and was comfortable while I was away. I will definitely book Bijayata every time I’m out of town, no question.
This is the 2nd time Meg has boarded our puppy. We had a last minute change to our itinerary and she was willing and able to accommodate the extra day. My puppy absolutely loves hanging out with Meg and her puppy. They get along extremely well!!! I will absolutely choose Meg 1st for sitting our puppy. He is well taken care of with her and she follows all of our house rules with our puppy so he is not confused by the difference when he comes home. Meg is an excellent Sitter for our puppy.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
